Introduction
Installation, operation and maintenance manual concerns air handling unit type Topvex, manufactured by
Systemair AB. It consists of basic information and recommendations concerning the design, installation,
start-up and operation, which shall be obeyed to ensure the proper fail-free operation of the unit.
The key to proper and safe operating of the unit is to read this manual thoroughly, use the unit according to
guidelines given in it and follow all safety requirements.

Operation
General
Topvex unit with Electrical heater have 3 minutes of re-cooling after that it has been turned off.
N.B. If activating the fire alarm when the heater is on the fan stops immediate without re-cooling, this can
cause the overheating protection to trip. See page 3 Alarms –Overview how to reset.
When changing a parameter in the control system it takes up to 1 minute for the change to be carried out.
Set the menu language
Press the OK button while switching on the mains supply.
Press the OK button. Choose language with the UP / DOWN buttons. Confirm the choice with the OK
button. Press the LEFT button to go back in the menus.
The language can also be change in the Language menu, see Control unit, manual (page 7).
Control panel
How to operate
See fig 2.
The menus in the Corrigo E are organized in a horizontal tree structure. The UP / DOWN-buttons are used
to move between menus at the present menu level. The RIGHT / LEFT buttons are used to move between
menu levels. When changing parameters the UP / DOWN buttons are used to increase or decrease the
value of the parameter and the RIGHT / LEFT buttons to move between digits within the parameter.
The OK button is used to confirm the choice of a parameter setting.
The C button is used to abort an initiated parameter change and restore the original value.
The ALARM button is used to access the alarm list.
Changing parameters
In some menus there are parameters that can be set. This will be indicated by the LED  flashing. To
change a parameter, first press the OK button, the LED  changes to a steady light. A cursor will appear
at the first settable value. If you wish to change the value, do so by pressing the UP / DOWN buttons. In
numbers containing several digits you can move between the digits using the LEFT / RIGHT-buttons.
When the desired value is displayed press OK. Settings outside the intervals is not registered, preset
values counts. If there are further settable values displayed the cursor will automatically move to the next
one. To pass a value without changing it, press RIGHT.
To abort a change and return to the initial setting, press and hold the C-button until the cursor disappears.
Navigating the menus
The start display (the display normally shown) is at the root of the menu tree.
Pressing DOWN ▼will move you through the menu choices, in this the lowest level. UP ▲will move you
back through the choices.
To enter a higher menu level, use UP or DOWN to place the display marker opposite the menu you wish to
access and press RIGHT ►.
If you have sufficient log on privileges the display will change to the menu you have chosen.
At each level there may be several new menus through which you may move using the UP / DOWN
buttons.
Sometimes there are further sub menus linked to a menu or menu item. This is indicated by an arrow
symbol at the right-hand edge of the display. To choose one, use RIGHT ►again. To back down to a
lower menu level, use LEFT ◄.

Alarms
Alarm button (pos.1 in fig. 2) opens the alarm queue. Press this button and active and non-acknowledged
alarms will be displayed in the menu window. The LED for alarms (pos.2 in fig. 2) is blinking if there are
non-acknowledged alarms and steady if the alarms are still active but have been acknowledged. If there
are multiple alarms use UP / DOWN buttons to move between them. An alarm can be acknowledged or
blocked by using OK and UP / DOWN buttons. To abort and go back to start menu select Cancel and press
LEFT button.
Alarms –Overview
Alarm fan motor DI1 Thermal contact in the fan motor tripped. Reset in Control panel.
Overheat. DI2 Thermal contact in the electric heater tripped (auto. reset: 60°C, manual reset: 110°C).
Manual reset is done by pressing the red button, marked RESET, on top of the
connection box (pos.9 in fig. 1).
Alarm VVX DI4 Malfunction on the rotating heat exchanger. Check the rotor transmission belt.
Fire alarm DI5 External fire alarm contact tripped. Reset in Control panel.
Filter to be changed - Set time has expired. Reset in Control panel.
Alarm frostprotect - Outlet water below 8°C (temp. not changeable). Hot water heater. Reset in Control
panel.
FrostProt. inlettemp - Supply air temp. below set temperature. Hot water heater. Reset in Control panel.
Sensor error inlet - Supply air sensor interruption.
Sensor error exhaust Extract air sensor interruption.
Sensor error outtemp. Fresh air sensor interruption.

Control unit, manual
Man / Auto:
Fanspeed: Show if the unit is running in Manual or Automatic mode.
Show if the fans are running on Low, Medium or High speed or if the unit
is stopped.
Extended running
Activate extended running. Extended running is the time the unit goes
from OFF (Low fan-speed or shut down mode) to ON (High, Medium or
Low fan-speed). OFF and ON times and fan-speeds are set at the
submenu Week program.
Control temp.
Set the desired control temperature value, 16-30 °C.
Running mode
Set the running mode of the unit. Choose between:
Auto, Manual high, Manual medium, Manual low or Manual shut off.
Service
Login with 1111 to service level. Log’s out after 5 minutes of inactivity,
with main su

Time / Date
Set the present time, date and weekday.
Set the units ON time for each week day, 2 periods/ day.
Preset time is Period 1. 07:00-16:00 Monday-Sunday and Period 2.
00:00-00:00 Monday-Sunday, 00:00-00:00 inactivates the period.
Week program
Set the fan-speed when the unit is ON to Low, Medium or High and the
fan-speed when the unit is OFF to Low or shut off.
Preset is: ON = Medium and OFF = Low.
Extended running
Set how many minutes (0-240) the unit should go from OFF (low fan-
speed or shut down mode) to ON (Low, Medium or High fan-speed).
ON times and fan-speeds are set at submenu Week program.
Activating extended running can be done by pressing the OK button in
sub menu Extended running (user level) or by using an external Timer
or a Push button. Set the minutes to 0 when using a Timer.

Reset filter alarm by setting the Reset alarm to Yes.
Filter alarm
Set the time until the filter alarm should be activated, 1-15 month.
Set the status for Cooling to Active or Not Active. Preset is: Not Active.
Function: Controls a cold-water cooling battery with a 0-10 V DC signal.
Functions
Set the status for Fire function to Active or Not Active. Preset is: Not
Active.
Set how the unit should operate if the fire alarm function is activated, run
on High fan-speed or Shut off. Preset is: Shut off.
Function: Decides how the unit should operate at fire alarm.
Applies only to HW units.
Set the status for Frost protection to Active or Not Active. Preset is: Not
Active.
Set the alarm limit, °C, on the supply air temperature.
Function: When supply air temperature decreases, below the set alarm
limit, the fans stops, the hot water valve actuator opens fully and the
Fresh/Exhaust air dampers (accessory) close.
Set the status for Cool Recycling to Active or Not Active. Preset is: Not
Active.
Function: Starts the heat exchanger, to recycling the cold extract air
temperature, when the extract temperature is 3K lower than the Fresh air
temperature.

AI1: Show the actual temperature of the supply air.
AI2: Show the actual temperature of the exhaust air.
AI3 applies only to HW units.
AI3: Show the actual temperature of the return water in the hot water
battery (frost protection).
In-/Outputs
Show the status and settings of the digital inputs.
DI1: Fan alarm. Connected to the thermal contact in the fan motor. Stops
the fan and disconnect the electrical heater when the alarm is activated.
DI2: applies only to EL units.
DI2: Overheating of the electrical heater. Connected to the thermal
contact in the heater. Disconnects the heater when the alarm is
activated.
DI3: Timer / P.B. Starts the Extended running when an external contact,
Timer or Push button, closes. Only when the unit is running in Off mode.
DI4: Alarm VVX. Stop the fans and close the dampers (accessories)
when the alarm is activated.
DI5: Is only shown when the Fire function is activated.
DI5: Fire alarm. Connects to an external fire central. Stops the unit or
changes the fan speed to High if the alarm is activated.
Set the Air control mode to:
•Supply.
•Supply & Outdoor compensation.
Set how much the control temp. should be compensated when the out
door temperature is –20°C and +15°C (the compensation will be linear
between these two points).
E.g. At –20 : 5°C.
E.g. At +15 : -2°C.
Control temp. = 18°C.
Outdoor temperature –20°C gives a Control temp. of 23°C (18+5).
Outdoor temperature +15°C gives a Control temp. of 16°C (18-2).
•Extract.
Set the permitted maximum and minimum supply air temperature.
Applies only to Topvex 2000.
Set the Medium Fan speed control in % of maximum fan speed.
Choose between: 35% to 100%.
Low fan speed is preset to 35% and High fan speed to 100%. Low and

Display shows Description
Show and Set the Analogue outputs.
AO1: Heating battery, Electric or hot-water. Show the output signal, 0-
10V. Set the status to: Auto, Manual or Off. In Manual status it is
possible to set the output signal within a range from 0 to10V, more than
2V activates the electrical re-heater (on/off function).
AO2 is shown only when the cooling function is activated.
AO2: Cooling battery, cold-water. Show the output signal, 0-10V. Set the
status to: Auto, Off or Manual. In Manual status it is possible to set the
output signal within a range from 0 to10V.
Show and Set the digital outputs, output 24V AC.
DO1: Fan speed Low. Show the status.
DO2: Fan speed Medium. Show the status.
DO3: Fan speed High. Show the status.
DO4: VVX. Activating the rotating heat exchanger. Show the status. Set
the status to Auto, On or Off.
Configuration
Language
Set the menu language.
Note: A short cut to the menu language is by pressing the OK button at
the same time as the main voltage is switched on.
Change codeword
Set a new code for Service level.
Version
Show the program version

Warning
In order to avoid electrical shock, fire or other damage that might occur in connection with faulty use and
operation of the unit, it is important to consider the following:
•The system must be installed according to the mounting instructions.
•Insulate mains supply before service or cleaning of the heat recovery unit.
•Tumble dryer must not be connected directly to the ventilation system.
•Make sure the filter is mounted in its place before running the system.
•Maintenance must be performed according to the instructions.
Maintenance
Maintenance of the Topvex should normally be carried out 3 – 4 times a year. Apart from general cleaning
the following should be observed:
1. Changing Supply / Extract air filter (indicates as “filter to be changed” in the control panel, 1-2
times per year or as necessary) (fig.3)
The bag filter cannot be cleaned and must be changed as necessary. New filters can be ordered from
Systemair. Operation time between filter changes must be re-set after filter change, see page 5 Filter
alarm. To change the alarm activating time, see page 5 Filter alarm.
Initial pressure drop is approx. 70 Pa and the final pressure is approx. 220 Pa.
2. Checking the heat exchanger (Once a year), (fig.4)
After long times use dust may build up in the exchanger and block the airflow. It is vital to clean the
exchanger regularly to maintain high efficiency. The heat exchanger can easily be taken out of the unit.
Wash in hot soapy water or use pressure air. Do not use detergent containing ammonia.
Note! Make sure that the rotor motor is not exposed to moisture.
3. Checking the fans (once a year), (fig.5)
Even if the required maintenance, such as changing of filters is carried out, dust and grease may slowly
build up inside the fan (pos.12 and 13 in fig. 1). This will reduce the efficiency.
The fans may be cleaned with a cloth or a soft brush. Do not use water. White spirit can be used to remove
obstinate settlements. Allow drying properly before remounting.
4. Cleaning extract louvres and inlet diffusers (when necessary)
The system supplies fresh air to the building and extracts the used indoor air via the duct system and
diffusers/louvres. Diffusers and louvres are mounted in ceilings/walls in bedroom, living room, wetrooms,
WC etc. Remove diffusers and louvers and wash in hot soapy water as required. (Diffusers/ louvres must
be put back with their original settings and positions in order not to unbalance the system).
5. Checking the fresh air intake
Leaves and pollution could plug up the air intake grille and reduce the capacity. Check the air intake grille
at least twice a year, and clean if necessary.
6. Checking the duct system (when necessary)
Dust and grease settlements may build up in the duct system even if filters are changed regularly. This will
reduce the efficiency of the installation. The duct runs should therefore be cleaned/ changed when
necessary. Steel ducts can be cleaned by pulling a brush soaked in hot soapy water, through the duct via
diffuser/ louver openings or special inspection hatches in the duct system (if fitted).
NOTE! In addition roof cowl must be checked once a year and cleaned as necessary.

Troubleshooting
Should problems occur, please check or correct the following before contacting your service representative.
Always check if there are any alarms active in the control panel.
1. Fan(s) do not start
A.) Check that the fuses are not defect.
B.) Check the settings in the control panel (times, week schedule, auto, manual operating etc.).
C.) Check if there are any alarm messages.
2. Reduced airflow
A.) Check the settings of Medium and Low fanspeed.
B.) Check that the Fresh / Exhaust air damper, if used, opens.
C.) Change of filters required?
D.) Cleaning of diffusers/louvers required?
E.) Cleaning of fans/exchanger block required?
F.) Is roof unit/air intake clogged?
G.) Duct system. Check visible duct runs for damage and/or build-up of dust/pollution.
H.) Check diffuser/louver openings.
3. Cold supply air
A.) Check control temperature on the control panel.
B.) Check if overheating thermostat is alert. If necessary, reset by pressing the red button, marked
RESET, on top of the connection box (pos.9 in fig. 1).
C.) Check if the extract filter must be changed.
D.) Check that the heat exchanger is rotating.
E.) Check if the fan thermo contact has tripped, shows as Fan alarm in the control panel. If necessary,
reset it (see page 3 Alarms).
4. Noise/ vibrations
A.) Clean fan impellers.
B.) Pull the fans out and check that the 2 screws holding the fans are tightened.
Service
Before calling your service representative, make a note of the specification and production number from the
data plate on top of the unit, beside the safety switch (pos.7 in fig. 1 and fig. 6).

Inbedrijfstelling
Algemeen
De Topvex-unit met elektrische naverwarmer draait 3 minuten door nadat de unit is uitgeschakeld.
N.B. wanneer het brandalarm is geactiveerd en de naverwarming is ingeschakeld, zal de ventilator direct
stoppen met het afkoelen van de verwarmer. Dit omdat anders de oververhittingsbeveiliging zou kunnen
beschadigen. Zie verder pagina 14 Alarm- Overzicht hoe te resetten.
Wanneer er een instelling in het controlesysteem wordt gewijzigd duurt het minstens een minuut voordat
het wordt uitgevoerd.
Instellen van de taal
Druk op de OK knop op de display schakel tegelijkertijd de hoofdschakelaar op de unit in
Druk op de OK knop. Kies de gewenste taal met de Omhoog/Omlaag toetsen. Nadat de juiste taal is
gevonden druk op OK. Druk op de linkertoets om naar het hoofdmenu te gaan.
Tevens is het mogelijk de taal in te stellen in het Taalmenu, zie regeling unit, handleiding (pagina 18).
Display
Inbedrijfstelling
Zie fig 2.
De menu’s in de Corrigo E (ingebouwde controller) bestaan uit een eenvoudige horizontale boomstructuur.
De OMHOOG / OMLAAG- toetsen zijn bedoeld om vanuit het huidige menu omhoog of omlaag te gaan
naar een nieuw menu. De RECHTER / LINKER toetsen zijn bedoeld om je te verplaatsen in het huidige
menu. Wanneer men de instellingen(parameters) wenst te veranderen dient met de OMHOOG /
OMLAAG- toetsen te gebruiken om de instelling te verhogen of te verlagen. De RECHTER / LINKER
toetsen dient men te gebruiken om te veranderen tussen de verschillende cijfers binnen de gekozen
instelling B.v. bij het getal 100, het eerste cijfer 1 of tweede cijfer 0 enz, enz.
De Ok-toets is voor het bevestigen van de gekozen instelling.
De C toets is bedoeld om de reeds ingevoerde instelling (parameter) te annuleren en te herstellen naar de
oorspronkelijke instelling.
De ALARM-toets is er om toegang te krijgen tot het alrmoverzicht.
Veranderen van instellingen (parameters)
In sommige menu’s kunnen de instellingen verandert worden . Dit is te zien aan het knipperen van de
LED . Om een instelling te kunnen wijzigen dient men eerst op de OK toets te drukken.
De LED  brand nu continu. Een cursor verschijnt bij de eerste aanwijzing die gewijzigd kan worden.
Wanneer u de instelling wenst te wijzigen drukt u dan op de OMHOOG / OMLAAG- toetsen . Ditzelfde geldt
ook voor de verschillende getallen naast elkaar echter dan met de RECHTER / LINKER toetsen.
Wanneer de gewenste instelling is gevonden bevestigd u deze dan met de OK toets. Sommige instellingen
kunnen niet worden gewijzigd. De ingestelde waarde ligt dan vast. Wanneer er meerdere waarden naast
elkaar worden weergegeven dan verplaatst deze automatisch na wijziging naar de volgendse. Wanneer
deze niet wordt gewijzigd dient u de RECHTER toets te gebruiken om naar de volgende waarde te gaan.
Om een verandering te annuleren en terug te gaan naar de oorspronkelijke instelling dient u de C-toets
ingedrukt te houden totdat de cursor verdwijnt.
Navigatie door de menu’s
Het startmenu (hetgeen men normaal ziet) is het begin van de boom-menu structuur.
Wanneer met op OMLAAG ▼drukt loopt u door de verschillende menukeuzes heen, eenmaal op het
laagste niveau keert u terug door op OMHOOG ▲te drukken..
Om dieper in het menu te gaan dient u op de gemaakte keuze in het menu op de RECHTER ►.toets te
drukken. Wanneer u voldoende rechten heeft komt u hiermee in het door gekozen menu.
Op ieder niveau kunt u mogelijk nieuwe menu’s vinden door op de OMHOOG / OMLAAG- toetsen te
drukken. In soomige menu’s vindt u sub-menu’s. Deze worden aangegeven door een pijl aan de
rechterzijde van de display. Om deze te kiezen drukt u op de RECHTER ►.toets. om terug te gaan drukt u
weer op de LINKER ◄toets I

Alarm
De Alarm toetsen (pos.1 in fig.2) openen de alarmregels. Druk op de toets en geactiveerde en niet
bevestigde alarmeringen worden in de display weergegeven. De LED (pos.2 in fig.2) knippert wanneer er
nog niet bevestigde alarmeringen zijn en brandt continu wanneer het alarm nog steeds actief is maar wel
bevestigd. Zijn er meerdere alarmeringen dan dient u de toetsen OMHOOG / OMLAAG te gebruiken om
deze zichtbaar te maken. Een alarm kan bevestigd of geblokkeerd worden door de OK –toets en de
OMHOOG / OMLAAG- toetsen. Om terug te gaan naar het startmenu dient u Cancel te kiezen en op de
LINKER ◄toets te drukken.
Alarm – Overzicht
Alarm ventilator DI1 Termokontakt in de motor is geactiveerd. Reset in bedieningspaneel.
Öververhitting DI2 Termokontakt in de elektrische verwarming geactiveerd (auto. reset. 60°C,
handbediendel. reset 110°C). Voor een handbediende reset dient u de rode toets in
te drukken, aangegeven met RESET bovenop de aansluitbo (pos.9 in fig. 1).
Alarm VVX DI4 Probleem met het wartewiel. Controleer de aandrijving of aandrijfdrijfsnaar.

Man / Auto:
Ventilator.: Display geeft aan of de unit draait op handbediening of automatisch.
Display geeft aan of de ventilatoren op Laag, Midden of Hoge snelheid
draaien of dat de unit uit staat.
Verlengde draaitijd
Activeer verlengde draaitijd. Verlengde draaitijd is de tijd dat de unit
vanuit UIT (Lage snelheid of uitgeschakelde positie) naar AAN (Hoog,
Midden of Lage snelheid) UIT en AAN tijden en ventilatorsnelheden
worden ingesteld via het sub-menu Week programma.
Inblaastemperatuur
Stel de gewenste inblaastemperatuur in, 16-30 °C.

Kies de tijd waarbij het filteralarm moet worden ingeschakeld, 1-15
maanden.
Verlengde draaitijd
Bepaald hoeveel minuten (0-240) de unit vanuit UIT ( Lage snelheid of
uitstand)naar AAN (Höog, Midden of hoge snelheid). AAN-tijden en
ventilatorsnelheid zijn in te stellen via het submenu Weekprgramma.
Het activeren van de verlengde draaitijd kan door middel van het
drukken van de OK toets in het submenu Verlengde
draaitijd..(gebruikers niveau) of door middel van een externe klok of

Kies voor de temperatuurregeling op basis van;:
•toevoerluchttemperatuur
•toevoerluchttemperatuur met buitenluchttemperatuurcompensatie.
Kies hoeveel de ingestelde temperatuur moet worden gecompenseerd
wanneer de buitenluchttemperatuur –20°C resp. +15°C (de compensatie
is lineair tussen deze twee punten.).
B.v. bij –20 : 5°C.
B.v. bij +15 : -2°C.
Ingestelde waarde. = 18°C.
Buitentemperatuur –20°C inblaastemperatuur wordt 23°C (18+5).
Buitentemperatuu +15°C inblaastemperatuur wordt 16°C (18-2).

In-/Uitgangen
Geeft de status en instellingen van de digitale inputs weer.

de ventilatormotor. Stopt de ventilator en schakelt de elektrische
naverwarming uit wanneer het alarm is geactiveerd. DI2: alleen bestemd
voor elektrische batterijen
DI2: Oveerverhitting van de elektrische batterij. Deze is verbonden met het
thermische contact in the batterij. Schakelt de verwarming uit wanneer het alarm
is geactiveerd.
DI3: Timer / drukknop. Activeert de verlengde draaitijd wanneer een extern
contact Timer of drukknop sluit. Alleen van toepassing wanneer de unit in de UIT-
stand staat.
DI4: ALarm VVX(warmtewiel). Stopt de ventilatoren en sluit de afsluiters
(accessoire) wanneer het alarm is geactiveerd.
DI5: wordt alleen getoond wanneer de Brandfunctie is geactiveerd..
DI5: Brandalarm. Aansluiting voor extern alarm. Stopt de unit of verandert de
ventilatorsnelheid naar hoog wanneer het alarm is geactiveerd.
