IftheSAVEVTC700unitwasproducedbeforethe10thofAugust2014,anewreleasedbypassdamper
cannotbechangeddirectlyanymoreasshownintheinstallationsection3Changingthebypassdamper.
Thenewbypassdamperdonotusethetransformerwhichislocatedintheconnectionbox,thereforeit
mustbedisconnectedandcablesconnectedviaadapterbeforemountingthenewbypassdamperinto
place.Carefullyperformadditionalstepsbellowtocompletetheinstallation:
Theunitproductiondatecanbefoundonthetypelabel(see:step2,page8,pos1),whichcanbefound
ontopoftheunitclosetotheductconnectionsorinsideinthebottomoftheunit.

Disconnecttheunitfromthemainssupply(see:step1,page2),releasethelockofthefronthatch
(see:step2,page2)andremovethehatch(see:step3,page2).

Remove4screwsandopentherightdoor.
Note:

Removethecoverplateoftheconnectionbox(pos2)byloosening2screws(pos1).Pullthecover
asshowninillustrationtoremoveit.

Disconnectandremoveablackgroundwire(GND)connectedtotheterminalontheprintcard(pos1)and
thetransformer(pos2).Thiswireisnotneededanymore.

Disconnectredandblackwiresconnectedtothetransformer(pos1).Reconnecttheredwiretothe5–pol
socketterminalbrownwire(pos2)andtheblackwiretothe5–polsocketterminalbluewire(pos3)).
Thetransformerisnowcompletelydisconnected.

DisconnectgreyGNDwire(pos1)connectedtotheprintcard(pos2)nextto“DI6”connection(pos4).
Reconnectittothedamper“GND”(pos3)connectionontheprintcard.Changesintheconnection
boxarenowcompleted.
Note:
ThegreyGNDwireistooshorttobeconnecteddirectlyontherightsideoftheprintcard,cutandremove
theprotectiveblackshrinkingtubingfromthecable(about5–8cm)beforeconnectingthewire(pos5).

Attachdisconnectedcablestotheadapter.Connect:
•yellowwiretothe3–polsocketunmarkedterminal(pos1);
•redwiretotheterminal“L”onthe3–polsocket(pos2);
•blackwiretotheterminal“N”onthe3–polsocket(pos3).
Note:
Amultimeterisrequiredinordertocompletethefollowing
steps.
•useamultimetertoidentifygreyDI6wirefromtheconnectionboxandconnectittotheblackwire
oftheadapterwiththe“DI6”marking(pos4);
•useamultimetertoidentifygreyGNDwirefromtheconnectionboxandconnectittotheblackwireof
theadapterwiththe“DamperGND”marking(pos5).
Important
Greywirescomingfromtheconnectionboxarenotmarked.Usemultimetertoidentifywhichgrey
wireisDI6andDamperGND!Theotherendofgreycablesarelocatedintheconnectionbox(see:
step4,page12(pos3and4)).
DonotmixDI6andDamperGNDgreywiresfromtheconnectionboxwhileconnectingthemtothe
adapterorelsebypassdamperalarmwilloccur!

Attachthe3–polsocketoftheadaptertothedampermotorsupportwith2screws(pos1),whichare
includedwiththedamperadapter.

Connectadaptercablestothedampermotor.Connect4–pinconnector,3–pinconnector,groundGND
connectorandmodularjackcablingtothefronthatch.(see:step11,page6).

Mountthelidofthebypassdamperbyfasteningfourscrews(see:step12,page7).

Closetheleftdoorandtighten4screws.
