WICHTIGE SICHERHEITSVORSCHRIFTEN
Lesen Sie aufmerksam die Gebrauchsanleitung, bevor
Sie Ihr Gerät benutzen.
Wichtig: Dieses Produkt kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren
sowie von Personen mit reduzierten physischen,
sensorischen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel

❑Während des Gebrauchs können zugängliche Teile
des Gerätes eine sehr hohe Temperatur erreichen.
Berühren Sie diese heißen Teile nicht.
❑Achten Sie darauf, dass die heißen Teile während
des Backvorganges nicht mit leicht
entflammbarem Material, wie Gardinen,
Tischdecken, usw. in Berührung kommen.
Brandgefahr!
❑Achten Sie darauf, dass die Beschichtung nicht
abgekratzt wird, da ansonsten kleine Teile der
Beschichtung in die Nahrung gelangen. Benutzen
Sie einen Holzspatel oder einen wärmebeständigen
Plastikspatel, um die Nahrung aus dem Gerät zu
nehmen.
❑Ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose, wenn
das Gerät nicht benutzt wird, da das Gerät keinen
An-/Aus-Schalter besitzt.
❑Bereiten Sie nur Nahrungsmittel zu, die zum Backen
und zum Verzehr geeignet sind.
❑Ihr Gerät darf niemals über eine externe
Zeitschaltuhr oder irgendein anderes, separates
Fernbedienungssystem eingeschaltet werden.
(*) Fachmann: anerkannter Kundendienst des Lieferanten oder des Importeurs, der für
derartige Reparaturen zuständig ist. Für eventuelle Reparaturen wenden Sie sich bitte an
diesen Kundendienst.
INBETRIEBNAHME
•Vor dem ersten Gebrauch sind die Backplatten mit einem feuchten Tuch zu reinigen.
•Während des ersten Gebrauchs entwickelt die Antihaftbeschichtung Rauch. Dieser Rauch
ist NICHT schädlich. Dennoch wird es angeraten, das Gerät erst 10 Minuten leer heizen zu
lassen.
•Schließen Sie das Gerät an und stecken Sie den Stecker in eine Steckdose. Die rote
Betriebsleuchte und die grüne Kontrollleuchte werden aufleuchten und anzeigen, dass
das Gerät funktioniert und aufheizt.
•Achtung! Während des Aufheizens werden die Backplatten heiß. Berühren Sie sie nicht!



ZUBEREITUNG UND BACKEN
•Bereiten Sie den Teig zu wie unter Rezepte angegeben oder auf der Verpackung, der
flüssigen oder trockenen Teigmischung, zu.
•Schließen Sie das Gerät an und stecken Sie den Stecker in eine Steckdose. Die rote
Betriebsleuchte und die grüne Kontrollleuchte werden aufleuchten und anzeigen, dass
das Gerät funktioniert und aufheizt.
•Sobald das Gerät die gewünschte Temperatur erreicht hat, erlischt die grüne
Kontrollleuchte. Während des Gebrauchs wird diese Kontrollleuchte regelmäßig an- und
ausgehen. Das bedeutet, dass die Betriebstemperatur geregelt wird.
•Achtung! Während des Gebrauchs werden die Backplatten heiß. Berühren Sie sie nicht!
•Öffnen Sie das aufgeheizte Gerät.
•Die Backförmchen brauchen normalerweise nicht mit Butter, Margarine oder Speiseöl
ausgestrichen werden. Wenn Sie empfinden, dass es schwierig ist, die gebackenen
Waffeln zu entfernen, empfehlen wir die Backförmchen vor dem nächsten Backvorgang
leicht einzufetten.
•Füllen Sie den Teig in die Aussparungen der unteren Backplatte, legen Sie 6
Bambusstäbchen in die Randkerbungen der unteren Backplatte und schließen Sie den
Deckel. Die Stäbchen sollten sich zur Hälfte an der Innenseite und zur Hälfte an der
Außenseite des Waffeleisens befinden. Drücken Sie den Deckel einen Moment fest
herunter, damit sich der Teig gleichmäßig verteilt. Füllen Sie nicht zuviel Teig ein, dieser
läuft ansonsten an den Seiten heraus.
•Backen Sie die Waffeln je nach gewünschtem Bräunungsgrad (ca. 5 -11 Minuten). Wenn
die Waffeln fertig sind, benutzen Sie die Bambusstäbchen um sie herauszunehmen. Falls
die Waffeln an den Platten kleben bleiben, nehmen Sie diese bitte mit einem Holz- oder
Kunststoffspachtel heraus. Benutzen Sie keine scharfen oder spitzen Gegenstände und
keine Metallgegenstände, da ansonsten die Antihaftbeschichtung der Backplatten
beschädigt werden kann.
•HINWEIS: Die Backzeiten variieren je nach dem zubereiteten Teig.
•Nach Beendigung des Backens ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose und lassen
Sie den Deckel auf, damit die Backplatten abkühlen können.

HINWEIS: Nach dem Backvorgang können Sie die Törtchen zum Beispiel mit
Schokoladenstreuseln, Zuckerperlen... bestreuen.
PFLEGEHINWEISE
•Gerät vom Netz trennen und die Backplatten abkühlen lassen, bevor sie gereinigt werden.
•Wischen Sie die Außenseite mit einem feuchten Tuch ab, und vergewissern Sie sich, dass
keine Feuchtigkeit, Öl oder Fett in das Gerät dringt.
•Wischen Sie die Backplatten mit einem weichen Tuch oder mit Küchenpapier ab.
•Niemals mit metallenen Gegenständen reinigen oder Schleif- und Scheuermittel
verwenden.
•Tauchen Sie das Gerät nicht in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten.

Wir, die Team Kalorik Group GmbH bestätigen hiermit, dass unser Produkt den Anforderungen
der VO 1275/2008/EG entspricht. Unser Produkt verfügt zwar nicht über eine Funktion zur
Minimierung des Verbrauchs, welche laut VO 1275/2008/EG das Produkt nach Beendigung der
Hauptfunktion in den Aus- oder Bereitschaftszustand versetzen soll, aber dies ist aus Sicht des
Gebrauchswertes nicht möglich, da dies die Hauptfunktion des Produktes so stark
beeinträchtigen würde, dass eine Benutzung des Produktes nicht mehr möglich sein würde!
Aus diesem Grund weisen wir in unserer Bedienungsanleitung den Kunden stets darauf hin, das
Gerät sofort nach Beendigung des Kochvorganges vom Netz zu trennen.



IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Please read these instructions carefully before using
the appliance.
Important: This appliance can be used by children
over 8 years old and people with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capacities or with a lack of
experience or knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instructions concerning the safe use of
the appliance and the risks involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made
by children unless they are older than 8 years and
supervised.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of
children less than 8 years.
❑Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that
stated on the appliance.
❑Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in
use.
❑From time to time check the appliance for
damages. Never use the appliance if cord or
appliance shows any signs of damage. In that
case, repairs should be made by a competent

❑Never immerse the appliance in water or any other
liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never place it
into the dishwasher.
❑Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
❑Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from
the power supply.
❑Never use the appliance outside and always place
it in a dry environment.
❑Never use accessories which are not
recommended by the producer. They could
constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage
the appliance.
❑Never move the appliance by pulling the cord.
Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way.
Do not wind the cord around the appliance and
do not bend it.
❑Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.
❑Make sure the appliance has cooled down before
cleaning and storing it.
❑Make sure the cord never comes into contact with
the hot parts of the appliance.
❑The temperature of the accessible surfaces may be
very high when the appliance is in use. Make sure
not to touch these hot parts of the appliance.
❑Make sure the appliance never comes into
contact with inflammable materials, such as
curtains, cloth, etc. when it is in use, as a fire might
occur.
❑Be careful not to scratch the special coating of the
baking plates, as you might get little pieces of this
coating into the food. Use a classical wooden
spatula or a heat-resistant plastic one.



❑Always unplug the appliance when it is not in use,
especially since it is not equipped with an on-off
switch.
❑Only use the appliance for food that is supposed to
be cooked.
❑Your appliance must never be switched on through
an external timer or any kind of separate remote
control system.
(*) Competent qualified electrician: after-sales department of the producer or importer or any
person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order
to avoid all danger. In case of need you should return the appliance to this electrician.
USE
•Protective coating burn off will cause smoking on first use. This is NOT harmful and will
disappear after a short time. Therefore, it is recommended to let your appliance work
empty for 10 minutes before the first use.
•When using for the first time, wipe the surface of the plates with a damp cloth, then dry.
•Close the appliance and plug into the electrical outlet. The red pilot light and the green
ready light will come on to indicate that the appliance is switched on and heating.
•Attention: during operation, the baking plates heat up. Pay attention not to get burned.
PREPARATION AND BAKING
•Prepare the dough as indicated under recipe or on the packaging, liquid or dry, dough
mixture.
•Close the appliance and plug into the electrical outlet. The red pilot light and the green
ready light will come on to indicate that the appliance is switched on and heating.
•The green ready light will go out when the cooking temperature is reached. During use,
this ready light will come on and off regularly. This simply means that the thermostat is
regulating the appliance's temperature.
•Attention: during operation, the baking plates heat up. Pay attention not to get burned.
•Open the heated device.
•The baking plates usually do not need to be spread with butter, margarine or cooking oil.
If you feel that it is difficult to remove the baked cakes, we recommend to lightly brush the
baking plates with butter, margarine or cooking oil before the baking process.
•Pour the dough evenly into the notches of the bottom baking plate but not all the way to
the edges, put 6 bamboo sticks in the side notches of the bottom baking plate and close
the appliance. The sticks have to be half on the inside and half on the outside of the
waffle maker. Press the lid down for a moment to spread the dough evenly on the baking
plate.
•Bake until golden brown (about 4 to 6 minutes). When the waffles are ready, take them
out by the bamboo sticks. If the waffles stick to the plates, remove them with a plastic or
wooden spatula. Never use any sharp or metallic objects, as this might damage the non-
stick coating of the baking plates.
•NOTE: The baking times vary depending on the dough.



TIP: after baking, you can garnish the upcakes for instance with chocolate sprinkles, sugar

CLEANING
•Before cleaning, unplug and wait for the appliance to cool down.
•Wipe the outside only with a slightly moistened cloth ensuring that no moisture, oil or
grease enters the cooling slots.
•Wipe the inside and the edges of the plate with a paper towel or a soft cloth.
•Do not clean the inside or outside with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool as this will
damage the finish.
•Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.
PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT –DIRECTIVE 2012/19/EC
In order to preserve our environment and protect human health, the waste electrical and
electronic equipment should be disposed of in accordance with specific rules with the
implication of both suppliers and users. For this reason, as indicated by the symbol on the
rating label or on the packaging, your appliance should not be disposed of as unsorted
municipal waste. The user has the right to bring it to a municipal collection point performing
waste recovery by means of reuse, recycling or use for other applications in accordance with
the directive.



ErP Declaration –Regulation 1275/2008/EC
We, Team Kalorik Group SA/NV, hereby confirm that our product meets the requirements of
regulation 1275/2008/EC. Admittedly, our product does not dispose of a function to minimize
the power consumption, which should according to regulation 1275/2008/EC put the product
in off or standby mode after finishing the main function, but this is practically impossible, as it
would compromise the main function of the product so strongly, that using the product would
no longer be possible!
For this reason we always tell the customer in our instruction manual to unplug the appliance
immediately after the cooking is finished.



PREMIERE UTILISATION
•Lors de la première utilisation la couche antiadhésive produira de la fumée. Celle-ci n'est
pas nocive et s’estompera rapidement. Il est tout de même préconisé lors de la première
utilisation de laisser fonctionner votre appareil pendant une dizaine de minutes sans
nourriture.
•Lorsque vous utilisez votre appareil pour la première fois, essuyez-le avec un chiffon
humide, puis essuyez.

PREPARATION ET CUISSON
•Préparez la pâte suivant la recette ci-dessous ou suivant la recette indiquée sur
l’emballage de la préparation.
•Fermez votre appareil et branchez la fiche de votre appareil dans la prise de courant. Le
témoin rouge et le témoin lumineux vert s’allument, vous indiquant ainsi que l’appareil est
sous tension et qu'il chauffe.
•Dès que la température désirée est atteinte, le témoin lumineux vert s'éteint. Pendant
l'utilisation, ce témoin lumineux se rallumera et s'éteindra régulièrement. Cela signifie
simplement que le thermostat règle la température de l'appareil.
•Attention: pendant l'utilisation, les plaques deviennent chaudes. Faites attention de ne pas
vous brûler.
•Ouvrez entièrement l’appareil.
•Les plaques de cuisson ont un revêtement anti-adhérant, il n’est donc pas nécessaire de
les enduire de matière grasse telle que du beurre, de la margarine ou toute autre graisse
de cuisson. Néanmoins, si vous avez de la difficulté à décoller les gâteaux, vous pouvez
enduire légèrement les plaques de cuissons d’une matière grasse.
•Déposez la pâte sur les plaques du bas de façon à ce qu’elle se répartisse équitablement
dans tous les interstices, mettez 6 bâtonnets de bambou dans les encoches de la plaque
de cuisson inférieure, puis fermez l’appareil. Les bâtonnets doivent être placés 1/2 à
l’intérieur et 1/2 à l’extérieur du gaufrier. Ne mettez pas trop de pâte sinon celle-ci risque
de déborder sur les côtés.
•Faites cuire selon vos goûts (environ 5 à 11 minutes). Lorsque les gaufres sont cuites, retirez-
les par les bâtonnets de bambou. Si elles collent aux plaques de cuisson, retirez-les de
l’appareil à l’aide d’une spatule en bois ou en plastique. N'utilisez pas d'objets métalliques
ou griffants car ils risqueraient d'endommager le revêtement antiadhésif des plaques.
•NOTE : le temps de cuisson peut varier selon le type de pâte utilisée.
•Lorsque vous avez terminé d’utiliser l’appareil, débranchez-le et laissez-le ouvert afin que
les plaques puissent refroidir.

CONSEIL: Après la cuisson vous pouvez garnir les gâteaux avec par exemple des vermicelles
de chocolat, des perles de sucre...
NETTOYAGE
•Veuillez retirer la fiche de la prise de courant et attendre que l’appareil et les plaques
refroidissent totalement avant de les nettoyer.
•Essuyez l’intérieur et les angles de l’appareil à l’aide de papier absorbant ou d’un chiffon
doux.
•Essuyez l’extérieur de l’appareil à l’aide d’un chiffon légèrement humide, en vous assurant
que l'humidité, l’huile ou la graisse ne s’infiltre pas dans les aérations de refroidissement de
l’appareil.
•Ne nettoyez jamais votre appareil (extérieur et intérieur) à l’aide de produits abrasifs car
cela abîmerait le revêtement.
•N'immergez pas l'appareil dans l'eau ou tout autre liquide.

exigences de la directive 1275/2008/CE. Certes, notre produit n’est pas équipé d’une fonction
pour minimaliser la consommation de puissance, ce qui devrait selon la directive 1275/2008/CE
mettre le produit en mode éteint ou mode veille après avoir fini sa fonction principale, mais
ceci est pratiquement impossible, car cela nuirait à la fonction principale du produit si
fortement que l’utilisation du produit ne serait plus possible!

BELANGRIJKE VEILIGHEIDSVOORSCHRIFTEN
Lees de gebruiksaanwijzing aandachtig alvorens u uw
toestel gebruikt.
Belangrijk: Het toestel mag worden gebruikt door
kinderen van meer dan 8 jaar oud en door personen
met beperkte fysieke, sensoriële of mentale
capaciteiten of met een gebrek aan ervaring of

Kinderen mogen in geen geval met het toestel

❑Gebruik het toestel enkel voor huishoudelijk gebruik

❑Zorg ervoor dat de warme onderdelen van het
toestel tijdens het gebruik niet in aanraking komen
met gemakkelijk ontvlambare materialen, zoals
gordijnen, een tafelkleed en dergelijke vermits deze
in brand zouden kunnen vliegen.
❑Let erop dat u de speciale bekleding van de
bakplaat niet schramt, vermits u hiervan stukjes in
uw voedsel zou kunnen vinden. Gebruik een
klassieke houten spatel of een warmtebestendige
plastic spatel.
❑Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact als het toestel
niet wordt gebruikt, vermits het geen schakelaar
bevat.
❑Kook enkel etenswaren geschikt om te koken en
voor consumptie.
❑Uw toestel mag nooit worden aangezet door
middel van een externe timer of een separaat
systeem met afstandsbediening.
(*) Bekwame gekwalificeerde dienst: klantendienst van de fabrikant of de invoerder, die
erkend en bevoegd is om dergelijke herstellingen te doen zodat elk gevaar vermeden wordt.
Gelieve het toestel bij problemen naar deze dienst terug te brengen.
EERSTE INGEBRUIKNEMING
•Tijdens het eerste gebruik zal de antiaanbaklaag gaan roken. Deze rook is NIET schadelijk
en zal snel verdwijnen. Daarom is het aangeraden om het toestel voor het eerste gebruik
10 minuten leeg te laten werken.
•Reinig vóór het eerste gebruik de bovenzijde van de bakplaten met een vochtige doek
en wrijf deze daarna droog.
•Sluit het toestel en steek de stekker in het stopcontact. Het rode controlelampje en het
groene controlelampje zullen gaan branden om aan te geven dat het apparaat in
werking is getreden en opwarmt.
•Opgelet: wanneer het toestel in gebruik is, worden de bakplaten heel warm. Let erop dat
u zich niet verbrandt.



VOORBEREIDING EN KOKEN
•Bereid het deeg volgens het onderstaande recept of volgens het recept dat staat
vermeld op de verpakking van het toestel.
•Sluit het toestel en steek de stekker in het stopcontact. Het rode controlelampje en het
groene controlelampje zullen gaan branden om aan te geven dat het apparaat in
werking is getreden en opwarmt.

•Zodra de nodige temperatuur bereikt is, zal het groene controlelampje uitgaan. Tijdens
het gebruik zal dit controlelampje regelmatig aan- en uitgaan. Dit betekent dat de
thermostaat de juiste temperatuur regelt.
•Opgelet: wanneer het toestel in gebruik is, worden de bakplaten heel warm. Let erop dat
u zich niet verbrandt.
•Open het toestel en vet de bakplaten lichtjes in met boter, olie of margarine zonder de
randen in te vetten.
•Giet het deeg in de inkervingen van de onderste bakplaat. Giet niet te veel deeg, want
anders zou het langs de zijkanten uit het toestel kunnen lopen. Leg 6 bamboestokjes in de
uitsparingen aan de rand van de onderste bakplaat, en zorg ervoor dat de stokjes zich
voor de helft aan de binnenkant en voor de helft aan de buitenkant van het wafelijzer
bevinden. Sluit het toestel en druk het deksel een ogenblik naar beneden om het deeg
gelijkmatig over de bakplaten te verdelen.
•Bak de wafels naar believen. Na ongeveer 5 à 11 minuten bakken hebben ze een
goudbruine kleur. Wanneer de wafels gebakken zijn, open dan het deksel en neem de
wafels uit het toestel met behulp van de bamboestokjes. Als ze aan de bakplaten blijven
plakken, gebruik dan een houten of hittebestendige plastic spatel om ze uit het apparaat
te nemen. Gebruik nooit scherpe of metalen voorwerpen, want deze zouden de
antiaanbaklaag van de bakplaten kunnen beschadigen.
•Opmerking: de baktijd kan verschillen naargelang het soort deeg mix dat u gebruikt.
•Wanneer het bakken beëindigd is, trek dan de stekker uit het stopcontact en laat het
toestel open liggen om af te koelen.
