BCN-BCN LOW CAPACITANCE PROBE

PC-26 BNC-BNC Probe is designed for use with a read-out oscilloscope, or a probe
selector for read-out oscilloscope, having a low capacitance.
For measuring with the probe, plug its oscilloscope side connector into the vertical input
connector on the oscilloscope or the probe selector and observe a 1kHz or 10kHz square
wave. If correct waveform is not obtained, adjust trimmer accessible through the small
hole on the connector of the probe using a thin screw driver. After adjusting the trimmer
capacitor, connect the signal side connector to a device under test or a signal source.
Note that the probe attenuates the given level one tenth. Increase the oscilloscope
vertical sensitivity to obtain proper amplitude of the waveform under measurement.
The actual waveform voltage is obtained by multiplying the observe value by 10.
The probe has 10MΩinput impedance. It will cause little error in measured values as
long as connected to any point of 1MΩor lower impedance. The input capacitance is
13pF. This will not largely affect a tuned circuit or similar circuits the frequency of which is
deviated by additional capacitance.
CAUTION:
The PC-26 cannot be used for measuring high voltages. In continuous use, it is available
up to 300V. It also is safe up to 500V as far as measurement takes not longer than 5
seconds.
