Zweckbestimmung
Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung / Anwendungsbereiche
Die Tellerrranderhöhung ist ein Medizinprodukt der Klasse 1.
Die Alltagshilfe ermöglicht dem Nutzer das selbstständige Essen fester Nahrung von einem
flachen Essteller. Die Tellerranderhöhung bildet einen hohen, nach innen geneigten Rand,
damit die Nahrung einfacher vom Teller auf das Besteck geschoben werden kann.
Eine andere oder darüber hinausgehende Verwendung gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß.
Indikation / Patientenzielgruppe, vorgesehene Anwender
Das Produkt eignet sich für Kinder, Jugendliche und Erwachsene mit motorischen Beein-
trächtigungen in Hand und / oder Fingern. Daher ist das Produkt geeignet bei z.B. Gelen-
kerkrankungen, neurologischen Erkrankungen, Verletzungsfolgen und Fehlbildungen. Es ist
außerdem geeignet bei Einhändigkeit.
Anwendungsrisiken und Kontraindikationen
Bei sachgerechtem Gebrauch können Risiken bei der Anwendung ausgeschlossen werden.
Kontraindikationen sind nicht bekannt.
Produktbeschreibung
Lieferumfang
Ihr Produkt wird einsatzbereit geliefert. Dem Produkt liegt eine Gebrauchsanweisung bei.
Gebrauchsschulung
Der Anwender wird vom autorisierten Fachpersonal unter Hinzunahme dieser Gebrauchs-
anweisung in den Gebrauch dieses Hilfsmittels eingewiesen.
Einstellmöglichkeiten / Leistungsmerkmale
Die flexible Tellerranderhöhung kann an normalen Esstellern mit einem Außendurchmesser
von 19 bis 25,4 cm angebracht werden. Sie wird mit drei Clips außen am Tellerrand befestigt
und bildet eine hohe, nach innen geneigte Fläche, um Nahrung einfacher vom Teller auf das
Besteck zu schieben.

Reinigung und Instandhaltung
Das Produkt kann mit handelsüblichen Geschirrspülmitteln oder in handelsüblichen Ge-
schirrspülern gereinigt werden.
Lagerung
Bewahren Sie das Produkt an einem sicheren Ort auf, wenn es nicht genutzt wird. Stellen
und legen Sie während der Lagerung keine schweren Objekte auf das Produkt. Schützen Sie
das Produkt vor Witterungseinflüssen wie starker Sonneneinstrahlung und Frost. Sollte das
Produkt nass sein, wischen Sie Kunststoteile trocken, bevor Sie das Produkt einlagern.
Entsorgung
Ist das Produkt aufgrund seines Zustandes nicht mehr verwendungsfähig oder hat das Ende
der Lebensdauer erreicht, kann es beim örtlich zuständigen Entsorgungsunternehmen recy-
celt werden. Bitte beachten Sie hierbei die vor Ort geltenden Bestimmungen zu Recycling
und Entsorgung.

Gewährleistung
Thomashilfen bietet Ihnen für dieses Produkt die zweijährige gesetzliche Gewährleistung.
Die Frist beginnt mit dem Zeitpunkt der Übergabe der Ware. Die Gewährleistung umfasst
alle Ansprüche, die die Funktion beeinträchtigen. Ausgenommen sind Schäden, die durch
unsachgemäßen Gebrauch (z. B. Überbelastung), sowie natürlichen Verschleiß entstehen.
Nutzungsdauer
Das Produkt hat eine Nutzungsdauer von bis zu 4 Jahren bei fachgerechter und regelmäßi-
ger Wartung auf Grundlage der Herstellerangaben. Das Produkt kann über diesen Zeitraum
hinaus verwendet werden, wenn es sich in einem sicheren und technisch einwandfreien
Zustand befindet. Zeiten der Einlagerung beim Fachhandel sind von der Nutzungsdauer
ausgenommen.
Die theoretische Nutzungsdauer ist keine garantierte Nutzungsdauer. Sie ist abhängig von
der Nutzungsintensität und unterliegt immer einer Einzelfallprüfung durch den Fachhandel.
Lebensdauer
Das Produkt hat eine Lebensdauer von 6 Jahren, wenn die bei der Nutzungsdauer angege-
benen Voraussetzungen erfüllt sind. Die Lebensdauer setzt sich zusammen aus der Nut-
zungsdauer und Lagerungszeiten.
Wiedereinsatz
Das Produkt ist nicht für den Wiedereinsatz geeignet.

Intended Purpose
Intended Use / Application Areas
The plate rim raiser is a class 1 medical device.
The aid for daily life enables the user to eat solid food independently from a flat eating plate.
The plate rim raiser forms a high, inwardly sloping rim so that the food can be pushed more
easily from the plate onto the cutlery.
Any use that goes above and beyond this does not comply with the intended use.
Indication / Patient Target Group / Intended Users
The product is suitable for children, adolescents and adults with motor impairments in hand
and / or fingers. Therefore, the product is suitable for e.g. joint diseases, neurological dis-
eases, consequences of injuries and deformities. It is also suitable for one-handedness.
Risks Associated with Use and Contraindications
If used properly, risks can be eliminated during use. There are no known contraindications.

Your product is delivered ready for use. A copy of the Instructions for Use is enclosed with
the product.
Teaching the User
The user is taught how to use this device by trained sta who will reference these Instruc-
tions for Use.
Adjustment Options / Features
The flexible plate rim raiser can be attached to normal dinner plates with an outer diameter
of 19 to 25.4 cm / 7.5 to 10". It is attached to the outside of the plate rim with three clips and
forms a high, inwardly sloping surface to make it easier to slide food from the plate onto the
cutlery.

Cleaning and Maintenance
The product can be cleaned with standard dishwashing detergents or in standard dishwashers.
Storage
Store the product in a safe place when it is not being used. Do not lay or put any heavy
objects on the product while it is being stored. Protect the product from weather like intense
sunlight and frost. If the product is wet, wipe the plastic parts dry before storing the product.
Disposal
If the product is no longer usable due to its condition or it has reached the end of its service
life, it can be recycled at the local waste disposal company. Please refer to the local guide-
lines for recycling and disposal.

Warranty
Thomashilfen oers you the two-year warranty as required by law for this product. The
warranty period starts when the item is handed over. The warranty includes all claims which
impact function. Not included is damage which is the result of improper use (e.g. overload-
ing) and natural wear and tear.
Period of Use
The product has a period of use of up to 4 years if used correctly and serviced regularly
by a professional as per the information from the manufacturer. The product can be used
beyond this point if it is in safe and technically sound condition. Time spent in storage at the
distributor does not count towards the period of use.
The theoretical period of use does not equate to a guaranteed service life. It depends on the
intensity of use and always undergoes an individual assessment by the distributor.
Service Life
The product has a service life of 6 years if the requirements stipulated for the period of use
are met. The service life consists of the period of use and storage times.
Reuse
The product is not suitable for reuse.
