1. Introduction
Prior to use of our products you should inspect the equipment for any defects which may
have occurred during transport. If this happens, please contact your retailer.
Then, please read this instruction which includes important information for the user.
Please contact us if you have any questions concerning the use of the equipment. Our
advisors will provide you with any information you require on an ongoing basis.
Please note that if you have questions other than those concerning the use of our products,
you should contact your doctor, nurse or physical therapist.
2. Characteristics
The air walker consists of a splint in the shape of a shoe which is made of PVC, and inner
liner of soft material. Owing to the application of modern materials, the orthosis is air
permeable and removes excessive heat and moisture perfectly. The air walker is equipped
with system of circumferential straps which enable individual adjustment of stabilization
force and with profiled anti-sliding sole which facilitates the patient possibly physiological
gait.
3. Application
Air walker is used in post-traumatic and post-operative rehabilitation process in order to
limit the range of mobility in ankle joint and to improve functional activities. The orthosis
stabilizes the foot and shin in intermediate (neutral) position, in post-traumatic injuries in
the area of ankle joint.
Indications for use:
•post-operative treatment
•twist and dislocation of ankle joint
•Achilles tendon rupture
•as an alternative for plaster cast immobilization
•fractures in the area of foot, upper and lower ankle joint

4. Contraindications
Do not use in case of:
•skin abrasion
•eczema
•wound and other skin injuries
•after application of warming gel or ointment
Note! In case of varicose veins the usage of the air walker is restricted. Contact with
attending physician to determine whether the product may be used together with
compression stockings.
5. Notes and recommendations
•Note! Do not use the product without doctor’s advice.
•Note! Use the product according to doctor’s or physiotherapist’s recommendation.
•Do not use the product in case of contraindications listed in point 4.
•Note! The air walker must be adjusted and fitted properly in terms of size. Too loose
or too tight walker may cause skin abrasion.
•Note! Remember that the time of wearing the air walker should be shortened
systematically and determined by the professional doctor or physiotherapist who
possesses proper medical qualifications.
•Note! If there are no contraindications, it is recommended to perform passive
exercises several times a day. Exercises should be selected individually by a specialist
or physiotherapist.
•Note! In case of skin lesions (abrasion, eczema, wounds) place bandage before use of
the air walker.
•Note! Check the condition of the product regularly. In case of any damage, report
immediately to the point of sale.
•Do not make any repairs or modifications by yourself.

6. Fitting instruction (in sitting position with leg slightly bent in knee joint)
Note! Do not use the air walker when you notice any visible or perceptible damage.
Note! Follow the information contained in this manual while fitting and adjustment. Users
with severe pain in lower limb and reduced mobility may need help from a third person who
has appropriate skills.
•Unfasten circumferential straps, take out front shell of the walker and unfasten inner
liner.
•Put the inner liner on the leg. If necessary, use included additional air pads. Fasten
the inner liner and put it inside the air walker.
•Put the front shell of the orthosis and fasten circumferential straps by means of
Velcro.
•Check the correctness of fitting in standing position. If necessary adjust the force of
circumferential straps attachment

7. Maintenance
•Circumferential straps and inner liner can be washed by hand or in washing machine
at temperature of 30oC. Do not tumble, chlorinate, iron, bleach, dry cleaning, use
tumble dryer.
•Ensure the Velcro is fastened in order not to destroy the material.
•Dry at room temperature far from intensive heat source.
•Clean the PVC splint with damp cloth with soap.
•Dry the splint thoroughly.
Note! Lack of personal hygiene, usage of improper preservative and washing agents may
cause abrasions and other damage as well as increased perspiration and development of
bacterial flora.

8. Warranty information
All products distributed by our company are under a warranty, the terms of which are
described in the warranty card received at the time of purchase. Please, keep in mind that
for warranty purposes, the proof of purchase (receipt or invoice) should be retained.
