These instructions indicate a number of safety measure symbols which appear also on the machine and are
intended to protect the user, his/her effects and the environment from injuries and damage as applicable.
Below, you will find the safety symbols, their headings and definitions. Please, read these first before you con-
tinue.

2. INSTRUCTIONS OF USE OF THE LOGBOOK
This logbook serves as link between the manufacturer and the user.
All incidents, major accidents, repairs and modifications and all the events regarding machine tests and (or) the
execution of particular customer applications must be strictly recorded (dated/signed) in the Logging of Interven-
tions (chap. 11) of this logbook.

Any intervention of technical maintenance on the machine must be recorded in the Check Logging
(chap. 10).

.Attention ! Comply with the list of recommended lubricants.
⊗Prohibition !
lubricants:
TORNOS SA prohibits the use of all lubricants (grease, oil) with chlorinated and/or active sulphurous
and heavy metal additives. Moreover, the degree of copper corrosion, in accordance with European
standard EN ISO 2160 must not be greater than 1.
TORNOS SA declines all responsibility in the event of damage caused due to inobservance of
these rules.

7. DIRECTIVES FOR THE CHOICE OF CUTTING LIQUIDS
⊗Prohibited : Emulsions !
TORNOS forbids the use any water-miscible cutting liquids (emulsions) on MULTIDECO machine.
⊗Prohibited : Cutting liquids with additives !
TORNOS SA prohibits the use of any cutting liquids containing chlorinated, active sulfur or heavy metal
additives. In addition, the degree of copper corrosion according to the European standard EN ISO 2160
must not exceed 1.
TORNOS SA declines all responsibility in the event of damage caused due to inobservance of
these rules.

9. PERIODICAL MAINTENANCE & GREASING
.Attention !
− The maintenance plan must be complied with.
− For machines equipped with a barguide, the interior red tubes must absolutely be lubricated
before the introduction of the bars.

9.1 DAILY MAINTENANCE

and the toggles... ...according to greasing plan of the machine by means of a brush and the appropriate grease.

− Check the oil level by the level indicator located in
the group on the back of the machine.
9.2.3 Tool coolant Drawing: position 3
− Check the coolant level... ...by the level indicator located on the tank.

− Check the state and the tension of the main motor
