
General Operating Tips:
1. First, plug the transmitter into the receptacle on the truck.
2. Power the light on by flipping the On/Off switch to the ‘On’ position.
a. The light will go through a brief flash sequence indicating what series of
electronics are in the unit (useful when servicing or replacing parts).
3. The Light should now be fully operational for Wireless S/T/T signals.
a. If you have a wireless remote for your winch or other equipment that is not
working properly due to RF interference from our lights, call us and we can set
you up with a unit that will not interfere with the signal.
4. Use the 12VDC power cord provided to recharge the unit.
a. It takes 6-8 hours to fully recharge the battery in the light.
b. You cannot overcharge the unit off of the trucks 12V system.
c. The battery in the unit should have a total life of 1-2 years.
i. If a battery dies prior to the expected 12 month lifetime, TowMate may
choose to warranty (generally under 6 months), or pro-rate (6-12 months),
the replacement.
ii. If your light appears to have a low battery or will not take a charge, be
sure that the fuse in the tip of the charge cord plug is still intact. If it is
blown, replace with a 5-10 amp fuse.
5. Always check to be sure that the light is securely fastened to the load you are hauling
and that the magnets are clean of debris.
a. USE CAUTION WHEN SECURING TO THE VEHICLE. EACH MAGNET IS 100-LB.
PULL, KEEP YOUR FINGERS CLEAR IN ORDER TO AVOID INJURY.
