To Configure your Remote Toggle

The device you are getting ready to use (some call it a Toggle Fob
or Remote) is intended to work in conjuction with a Flashing Sign
Controller, and potentially Collaborators (constituting a “system”).
When pressed within 900 Feet (274m) of the system, the Toggle Fob
will manually activate the native flashing of the connected system’s
LED signs. The signs will continue to flash until the button is double
pressed. So don’t forget to turn off the flashing ;).
One common application this proves useful in is where flashing signs
can be activated to warn drivers they need to “chain up” in snowy pass
conditions. An operator can activate the system for as long as necessary
and then deactivate it from the comfort of a snow plow (assuming
snow plows afford some comfort to the operator)

Troubleshooting
If the system does not perform as expected, replace the batteries.
If the button is “blowing through” batteries, ensure the “Remove Fob” part
was performed.
⟨Configuration⟩
To set up the toggle fob, the device needs to be added to the system
as a collaborator. The configuration process is covered in the manual
included with your Flashing Sign Controller, but we’ll cover specific
details relevant to the remote here...
Insert batteries into the Fob, but
DON’T push the button
Add the Fob as a Collaborator
In the image at le, you’ll see the
Collaborator ID of the fob(s).
Input that ID(s) as any of the
Collaborators in the Collaborator
Setup screen in the wizard (shown
at right)
Complete the Conguration Wizard
Test the Fob
Push the button once to activate the
system, push it twice to deactivate
the system.
Remove the Fob(s)

awkward, but it is necessary. In the
conguration wizard, select Setup
from the drop down menu
Proceed to the Collaboration
Setup screen, and press the big red
Xnext to the Fob’s collaborator
ID. is will exclude the Fob
from the Controllers periodic
communication, but still allow it
to activate the system. is saves
a bunch of battery power, so don’t
neglect it!

<Warranty Statement>
TraffiCalm Systems provides the following warranty for its traffic
calming solutions whether sold directly by TraffiCalm or by an
authorized TraffiCalm distribution partner.
• TraffiCalm Systems warrants this product, excluding batteries, will
be free of defect in materials and workmanship for a period of five
(5) years beginning on the day the end user receives the product.
Warranty is only valid if the product is ineffective for its intended
purpose due to defects in materials or workmanship.
• Warranty is only valid if the product is installed, operated and
maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and
recommendations (available upon request).
• TraffiCalm’s sole responsibility, and the purchaser’s and users’
exclusive remedy, shall be that TraffiCalm will either repair or furnish
replacements for defective parts.
• Replacement parts will carry the unexpired warranty of the parts
they replace. Any repairs conducted on out-of-warranty items will
carry a 90 day warranty.
• Claims made under this warranty will be honored only if TraffiCalm
is notified of a failure within the warranty period, reasonable
information requested by TraffiCalm is provided, and TraffiCalm is
permitted to verify the cause of the failure.
• TraffiCalm assumes no liability for any incidental or consequential
damages, in any way related to the product regardless of the legal
theory on which the claim is based.
This warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
• Accidents, vandalism, impact with a foreign object, or acts of God.
• Product modifications made by someone not authorized by
TraffiCalm
• Failure of Customer to follow TraffiCalm’s published operating
instructions,
