3 Operation Instructions
3.1 Menu Structure
Normal settings of the wired controller can be set directly on the main menu,
including fan speed, louver settings, set temperature, mode, and ON/OFF. The settings
and status view of other functions can be set in the corresponding sub-menu. A
detailed menu structure is as shown in Fig. 3.

When the wired control is on the main screen, press the ON/OFF button to turn on
the unit. Press the ON/OFF button again to turn off the unit. The displays in both ON and
OFF states are shown in Fig. 4 and Fig. 5.

When the unit is on, pressing the MODE button will cycle through the operating
modes as shown below:

Note: If the energy SAVE function is set to be on, AUTO mode will not be available. (The
energy-save function is not available on current units.)
When the unit is on, pressing the “▲” or “▼” button on the main page increases
or decreases the set temperature by 1°F(1°C); holding the “◀” or “▶” button
increases or decreases the set temperature by 1°F(1°C) every 0.3 seconds.
In cooling, dry, fan and heating mode,temperature setting range is 61°-86°F
(16°-30°C). In AUTO mode, the set temperature cannot be adjusted.
When the unit is on, pressing the FAN button will cycle through the fan speeds as
shown below:
Low→Medium→High→Turbo→Auto→Low
Symbols displayed are as shown in Fig. 6.

3.7 Louver (Swing Angle) Setting
By pressing the LOUVER button when the unit is on, the up & down louver icon
is displayed. Press the LOUVER button to turn on or turn off the up & down louver
function. The icon is displayed when the up & down louver function is on and is
not displayed when the up & down louver function is off.

3.8 Function Menu
Press the MENU (enter) button on main screen to enter the main menu. Press the
“◀” or “▶” or “▼” or “▲” buttons to select the function setting screen. Press the MENU
(enter) button to enter the user function setting screen. Press the “▼” or “▲” button to
select the specific function item. Press the “◀” or “▶” button to turn on or turn off this
function. If the function item is unavailable in the current mode of operation, it will dis-
play as gray on the screen. Please
refer to Fig. 8.

3.8.1 Fresh Air
3.8.2 Sleep
After entering the user function screen, press the “▲” or “▼” button to select the
SLEEP function and press the “◀” or “▶” button to turn on or turn off the SLEEP func-
tion. The selected setting will save automatically.
If this function is turned on, the unit will operate according to the preset sleep
curve to provide a comfortable sleep environment.
Note:
• In FAN or AUTO mode, the SLEEP function is not available.
• The sleep function will be canceled when the unit is turned off or when the modes
are changed.
3.8.3 Health
3.8.4 I-Demand
After entering the user function screen, press the “▲” or “▼” button to select
the I-DEMAND function and press the “◀” or “▶” button to turn on or turn off this func-
tion. The selected setting will save automatically.
Note:
• This function is only available in COOLING mode.
• When this function has been set, the set temperature is displayed as 27°C(81°F).
• The temperature and fan speed settings are not selectable when the I-DEMAND
function is activated.
• The I-DEMAND function will be canceled when the unit is turned off or when the
• modes are changed
• The I-DEMAND function and SLEEP function cannot be selected simultaneously.
3.8.5 Holiday (Vacation)
After entering the user function screen, press the “▲” or “▼” button to select
the Holiday (vacation) function and press the “◀” or “▶” button to turn on or turn off this
function. The selected setting will save automatically.
Note:
• This function is only available in HEATING mode.
• When this function has been set, set temperature is displayed as 8°C( 46°F) . The
• temperature and fan speed settings are unavailable when the HOLIDAY (vacation)
• function is activated.
• This function will be canceled when switching modes.
• The HOLIDAY (vacation) function and SLEEP function cannot be used simultane-
ously.

3.8.6 Memory
After entering the user function menu, press the “▲” or “▼” button to select the
MEMORY function and press the “◀” or “▶” button to turn on or turn off the MEMORY
function. The selected setting will save automatically. When the MEMORY function is
activated, the unit will retain its previous settings after a power failure. It is recom-
mended to keep the MEMORY function on.
3.8.7 Fixed Angle Louver (Swing Angle)
This function is currently unavailable and will be canceled automatically after setting.
3.8.8 Energy Save
This function is currently unavailable and will be canceled automatically after setting.
3.8.9 Auxiliary Heat
This function is currently unavailable
3.8.10 Dry (X-Fan) Function
After entering the Function menu press the “▲” or “▼” button to select the
DRY function option and press the “◀” or “▶” button to turn on or turn off this function.
The selected setting will save automatically.
Note:
• This function is only available in COOLING mode and DRY mode.
• When this function is on, and the air conditioner is turned off, the indoor fan will
continue to operate at low speed for a set time to dry any condensation from the
indoor unit.
3.8.11 Quiet
This function is currently unavailable.
3.8.12 Fahrenheit Mode
After entering the Function menu, press the “▲” or “▼” button to select the
FAHRENHEIT mode setting. Press the “◀” or “▶” button to turn on or turn off this func-
tion. The selected setting will save automatically. After closing this function, the correct
temperature will be displayed. When FAHRENHEIT mode is turned off, the temperature
will be displayed in Celsius.

3.8.13 Exchange Air
This function is currently unavailable.
3.9 Unit Status
Press the MENU button to enter the main menu and select the SEARCH symbol to
enter the Search menu. Then press the MENU button to enter the view function screen.
Press the “▲”or “▼” button to select the status view function. Press the MENU button
to enter the unit status view screen. Press the ON/OFF (back) button to return to the
last screen. Please refer to Fig. 9.
The following statuses can be viewed: auxiliary heat operation,, indoor ambient tem-
perature and outdoor ambient temperature.
Note: If the unit does not support outdoor ambient temperature readings the outdoor
temperature will be shown as -22°F.

3.10 System Error View
When an error occurs in the unit, the error symbol will be displayed on the main
screen of the wired controller to indicate there is a unit malfunction. When this occurs,
you can enter the error view screen to determine the cause of the current error.
Press the MENU button to enter the main menu and select the function symbol to
be viewed. Then press the MENU button to enter the view function screen. Press the
“▲” or “▼” button to select the error information. Press the MENU button to enter the
error view screen. If there are multiple errors, press the “▲” or “▼” to scroll through the
error screens. Press the ON/OFF (back) button to return to the last screen. Please refer
to Fig. 10.

3.11 Timer Menu
The wired controller can set 6 types of timers: one-time clock timer, everyday
schedule, one week schedule, two week schedule, countdown timer on and countdown
timer off.Select the timer symbol after entering the main menu. Press the MENU button
to enter the timer menu. Press the “▲” or “▼” button to select the desired type of timer.
Press the “◀” or “▶” button to turn on or turn off the selected timer or schedule. Please
referto Fig. 11.
3.11.1 Once Clock Timer
The wired controller can set a “once” or one-time clock timer. If the unit is off, a
timer to turn ON can be set. If the unit is on, a timer to turn OFF can be set. This timer
is for one-time use and once the time parameter is reached, the timer will automatically
be turned off.
On the timer menu, when the ONCE timer is selected, press the “◀” or “▶” button
to turn on or turn off this timer function. Press the MENU button to enter the timer time
setting screen, as shown in Fig. 12.
Press the “◀” or “▶” button to select the timer hour or minute and press the “▲” or
“▼” button to adjust the time. Holding “▲” or “▼” button increases or decreases time
rapidly. Once the desired time is set, press the MENU button to save the timer setting.

3.11.2 Daily Schedule
With the DAILY schedule, eight individual time segments can be set per day.
Each individual segment will be valid only when that segment is turned on. In each
segment, you can set time, unit ON/OFF, set temperature in cooling (valid only in cool-
ing mode), set temperature in heating (valid only when in heating mode). Please refer
to Fig. 13. After entering the DAILY scheduling screen, press the “◀” or “▶” button to
select the desired function to be set. Press the “▲” or “▼” button to adjust the value.
Press the MENU button to save the setting.
Note: The ONCE timer function will be automatically canceled if the unit is manually
turned on or off.
3.11.3 Weekly Schedule
With the WEEKLY schedule, a schedule may be set for a full week. Within each day,
up to eight individual time segments can be set. The unit will execute that schedule
over the course of the week.

After entering the weekly schedule setting screen, press the “◀” or “▶” button to
select the day to be set. Press the MENU button to enter the desired time ranges for
that day. Press the “◀” or “▶” button to select the item to be set. Press “▲” or “▼”
button to adjust the values. Press the MENU button to save the desired setting. Please
refer to Fig. 14.

3.11.4 Two Week Schedule
Using the TWO WEEK schedule, daily schedules may be programmed for up to two
weeks. Within each day up to eight individual time segments can be set. The unit will
execute corresponding timer settings over the course of the two week period.
On the timer function setting screen, press the“▲” or “▼” button to select the two
week timer setting. Press the MENU button to enter the two week timer menu screen.
Press the“▲” or “▼” button to select the current week option. Press the“◀” or “▶”
button to set the current week as first week or second week. Press the MENU button to
save current week setting. Please refer to Fig. 15.
After entering the TWO WEEK timer menu screen, press the “▲” or “▼” button to
select the TWO WEEK schedule option. press the MENU (enter) button to enter the
TWO WEEK timer schedule. After entering the TWO WEEK timer setting screen, press
the“◀” or “▶” button to select the day to be set. Press the MENU button to enter timer
programming of that day. Press the “◀” or “▶” button to select the item to be set.
Press the “▲” or “▼” button to adjust the content. Press the MENU button to save the
setting. Press the BACK button to exit this screen. To view the setting symbols please
refer to the weekly timer setting section.
3.11.5 Timer On and Timer Off
TIMER ON and TIMER OFF are one-time countdown timers. When the system is
on, TIMER OFF can be set or both TIMER OFF and TIMER On can be set concurrent-
ly. When the system is off, TIMER ON can be set, or both TIMER ON and TIMER OFF
can be set concurrently. For example, if TIMER OFF is set for two hours and TIMER
ON is set for four hours simultaneously while the unit is on, the unit will turn off in two
