1. Before You Start

You can download the access point firmware from http://www.trendnet.com/support which
include instructions on how to upgrade the firmware.
Access Point Compatibility

Before you proceed, please ensure you are using one of the access point models in the list and
the firmware version of your access points has been upgraded accordingly to the versions
indicated in the list below. Please reset all access points to the factory default configuration.
Also, make sure your network is using a DHCP server to distribute IP addresses to the access
points. By default, TRENDnet access point models listed below will obtain an IP address
automatically through DHCP or otherwise default back to 192.168.10.100 / 255.255.255.0 if a
DHCP server is not available on your network. Each access point must be assigned a unique IP
address on the same network.

3. Assign a Static IP address to your computer's network adapter in the subnet of 192.168.10.x
(e.g. 192.168.10.25) and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0.
4. Open your web browser, type the IP address of the switch in the address bar, and then press
Enter. The default IP address is 192.168.10.200.

6. Click Advanced, click Setup, then click on LAN Settings.
7. Configure the wireless controller IP address settings to match the requirements of your
network and click Apply.
5. Enter the User name and Password, and then click Login. By default:
User Name: admin
Password: admin
Note: User Name and Password are case sensitive.

Note: The Default Gateway and DNS IP settings must be assigned to ensure the wireless
controller is able to check for available online firmware upgrades.

8. Using an Ethernet cable, connect one of the five Gigabit Ethernet ports located on the back of
the wireless controller to your network (e.g. router, switch, etc.)
9. Access the wireless controller management page using the newly assigned IP address.
Note: You may need to revert to your computer's original IP address settings before you can
access the wireless controller with the new IP address settings.

Important Note: Please make sure your access points have met the requirements in Section 1
Access Point Compatibility.
1. Using an Ethernet cable, connect each wireless access point to the wireless controller or
your network.
Note: If powering the access points using their power adapters, you can connect the access
points directly to your network or the wireless controller. If powering the access point using
power over Ethernet (PoE), you can connect your access points to your network or to the
wireless controller using a separate PoE injector or PoE switch (not included).

3. After your access points have been found, they will automatically appear in the Device List.
2. After the access points are connected to your network and powered on, click on Basic, click
AP Management, and Device List in the wireless controller management page. Then click on
Discover to search for available wireless access points.

5. You can modify the access point basic settings such as SSID and encryption key on each band.
4. To configure access point settings, under the Select column, check one or multiple access
points you would like to configure and click on Device Settings to configure access points.

6. After modifying the settings, scroll down to the Password field, enter the access points
management password (default access point password: admin) and click OK to apply the
settings to the access points.
Note: If you are using a combination of single band (2.4G) and dual band access points (2.4G &
5G), the 5G settings will only be applied to dual band access points.

Safety notes
Before using your TRENDnet device for the first time, it is essential to read and understand all safety and operating instructions.
Keep instructions in a safe place for future reference. Some TRENDnet products are rated for outdoor applications and can sustain
certain weather conditions.
Please refer to the product's Ingress Protection (IP) rating and the operating humidity and temperature range.
DANGER due to electricity
Warning: Never open TRENDnet devices. Doing so poses the risk of electric shock!
The device is voltage free only when unplugging from the mains power supply.
No physical maintenance of TRENDnet devices is required.
If damage occurs, disconnect the TRENDnet device from the power outlet and contact a qualified technician ONLY.
Damage is defined as:
Ÿ If the power cable/plug is damaged
Ÿ If the device has been submerged in liquid (e.g. rain or water; except products that are rated for outdoor applications)
Ÿ If the device is inoperable
Ÿ If there is damage to the housing of the device
Only operate TRENDnet devices using a mains power supply.
To disconnect devices from the mains supply, remove the device itself or its mains plug from the power outlet. The power outlet and
all connected network devices should be easily accessible so that you can pull the mains plug quickly if needed.
TRENDnet devices are designed for indoor use only and in a dry location (except those that are rated for outdoor applications).
To clean a TRENDnet device, disconnect it from the mains supply first and only use a dry towel.
DANGER due to overheating
Never expose TRENDnet devices to extreme heat (e.g. direct sunlight, fire, or other heat sources). For outdoor rated products, please
install the product in an environment that is within the product's operating temperature and humidity range.
Do not interlock multiple TRENDnet devices.
Only install TRENDnet devices in locations with adequate ventilation (slots and openings on the housing are used for ventilation).
Ÿ Do not cover TRENDnet devices when operating.
Ÿ Do not place any objects on TRENDnet devices.
Ÿ Do not insert any foreign objects into the openings of TRENDnet devices.
Ÿ Do not place TRENDnet devices next to an open flame (e.g. fire or candles).
Ÿ Do not expose TRENDnet devices to direct heat (e.g. radiator or direct sunlight).
