1 Introduction

This instruction manual is for users of the TRUST BT210 BLUETOOTH HEADSET.
The Bluetooth Class 2 technology means that the TRUST BT210 BLUETOOTH
HEADSET can be used as a wireless headset with a maximum distance of 10 metres
between the wireless headset and your Bluetooth compatible device, such as a
mobile telephone (the distance also depends on the type of mobile telephone), to
give you greater freedom of movement.
2 Safety
Carefully read the following instructions before use:
- The TRUST BT210 BLUETOOTH HEADSET does not require any special
maintenance. Use a slightly damp, soft cloth to clean the headset.
- Do not use aggressive substances, such as white spirit, to clean the device. These
may harm the material.
- Do not use this device near water.
- Do not repair this device yourself.
- Nowadays, there are an increasing number of wireless products (video, audio,
convenience, computer, etc.) which work in the same frequency range as this
device. It may, therefore, be possible that the functionality of this device is limited
by or is limiting for other wireless devices. This can only be avoided by paying
attention to the distance between devices and, where possible, by changing
channels.
- Be careful when using wireless devices if you have a pacemaker or are dependent
on other life-saving, sensitive electronic equipment, because this product transmits
radio signals.

- This device meets the essential requirements and other relevant conditions of the
applicable European directives. The Declaration of Conformity (DoC) is available
at www.trust.com/13909/ce.
- This wireless device works at a frequency of 2.4 GHz. It meets the essential
requirements and other relevant conditions of R&TTE Directive 1999/5/EC and
can be used in all EU countries:
Great Britain, Germany, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland,
Austria, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands, Iceland, Ireland,
Greece and Luxembourg.
- There may be restrictions for the use of this device outside of the EU. If this device
is used outside of the EU, check whether this device meets local regulations.
Frequency: 2.400 GHz; 2.440~2.4835, Bandwidth: 1MHz (Bluetooth Standard),
Power: 1 mW.
4 Functions
4.1 Headset functions
Use table 1 in combination with figure 1.

1 On/Off button
- Press this button for a couple of
seconds to turn the headset on or off.
- Answer/end telephone conversation.
2 Increase volume button Increases the volume.
3 Decrease volume button Decreases the volume.
4 Status LED Indicates the status of the headset (see table
2).
5 Ear clip
Use this to attach the headset to your ear.
This headset can be attached to either the left
or right ear.
6 Power adapter input Connect the adapter here to recharge the
headset.

8 Speaker Speaker

4.2 Headset functions

LED Description
Flashing Headset is turned on.
Blue Flashes 4 times An incoming or outgoing conversation
has been detected.
Blue & red Alternating The headset is attempting to make a
connection with your mobile telephone.
Flashing The battery is almost empty.
Red Lit constantly The headset’s battery is being charged.

5 Using for the first time
Note: This chapter uses a Bluetooth mobile telephone as an example of a
Bluetooth device. This chapter explains how to create a connection and
hold a telephone conversation using the Bluetooth headset.
5.1 Charging the battery
Charge the headset’s battery using the power adapter before use (see step 1 of the
Quick Installation Guide). The status LED will be lit red continuously. The status LED
will go out once the headset has been charged.
Note: It takes 2-3 hours to charge the battery.
Note: Whilst charging the battery, it is not possible to create a Bluetooth
connection between the headset and your mobile telephone.
5.2 Use
5.2.1 Registering the headset on the mobile telephone
Note: During registration, the distance between the headset and your mobile
telephone must not be greater than 1 metre.
If you wish to use the headset, a connection must first be created with your mobile
telephone (see steps 2 and 3 of the Quick Installation Guide).

5.2.2 Answering and ending a telephone conversation
Once a call is received, the status LED on the headset will start to flash. Press the
On/Off button (1, figure 1) to accept the call (see step 4 of the Quick Installation
Guide). Press the On/Off button again to end the call.
5.2.3 Altering the volume
Press the + button (2, figure 1) on the headset to increase the volume. Press the –
button (3, figure 1) on the headset to decrease the volume. See step 5 of the Quick
Installation Guide.
5.2.4 Turning off the microphone
To turn the microphone off during a conversation, press the + button (2, figure 1) and
the – button (3, figure 1) until two short beeps are heard. The microphone will then be
turned off. To turn the microphone back on, follow the procedure required to turn the
microphone off.
5.2.5 Making an automatic call
Note: This option only works in combination with Sony Ericsson mobile
telephones.
Carry out the following to make an automatic call using voice recognition:
1. Record your voice and link it to the desired telephone number stored
on your mobile telephone (see the instruction manual provided with
your mobile telephone).
2. Turn on your headset as described in steps 2 and 3 of the Quick
Installation Guide.
3. Press the On/Off button (1, figure 1) until a short, high pitched tone is
heard.
4. You may then hear another signal (depends on the type of mobile
telephone).
5. Speak the name of the person that you wish to call.
5.2.6 Turning the headset on and off
Press the headset’s On/Off button (1, figure 1) for a couple of seconds until the red
status LED starts to flash. The headset is now turned off. Follow the same procedure
to turn the headset on again.

6 Using the headset with a computer
This headset can be used in combination with a PC USB dongle. Make sure the
headset has been enabled in the dongle’s software (see the instruction manual
provided with the dongle for more information). UK

8 Warranty conditions
- Our products have a two-year manufacturer's warranty which is effective from the
date of purchase.
- If there is a fault, return the product to your dealer and include a description of the
fault, the proof of purchase and all the accessories.
- During the warranty period, you will receive a similar product, if one is available. If
no similar product is available, your product will be repaired.
- Please contact our help desk for missing components, such as the instruction
manual, software or other components.
- The warranty becomes invalid if the product has been opened, if there is
mechanical damage, if the product has been misused, if alterations have been
made to the product, if the product has been repaired by a third party, in the case
of negligence or if the product has been used for a purpose other than that
originally intended.
- Excluded from the warranty:
• Damage caused by accidents or disasters, such as fire, flood, earthquakes,
war, vandalism or theft.
• Incompatibility with hardware or software not stated in the minimum system
requirements.
• Accessories, such as batteries and fuses (if applicable).
