ground of the PoE.
We recommend that you protect your networks from harmful outdoor env  ronments
and destruct  ve ESD events w  th  ndustr  al-grade, sh  elded Ethernet cable from

Surge protect  on should be used for all outdoor  nstallat  ons. We recommend that
you use two Ethernet Surge Protectors, model ETH-SP, one near the B-DB-AC and the
other at the entry po  nt to the bu  ld  ng. The ETH-SP w  ll absorb power surges and
safely d  scharge them  nto the ground.

Hardware Overv  ew
In a  rOS®, you can mod  fy the threshold values for the w  reless s  gnal strength LEDs
on the Advanced tab under S  gnal LED Thresholds. The default values are shown
below:

The Ethernet LED w  ll l  ght steady green when an act  ve Ethernet connect  on  s
made and ash when there  s act  v  ty.
The Power LED w  ll l  ght green when the dev  ce  s connected to a power source.
To reset to factory defaults, press and hold the Reset button for more than 10
seconds wh  le the dev  ce  s powered on.
Th  s 10/100 Ethernet port  s used to connect the power and should be connected to
the LAN and DHCP server.

1. Make sure that your host mach  ne  s connected v  a Ethernet to the dev  ce.
2. Conf  gure the Ethernet adapter on your host system w  th a stat  c IP address on the
192.168.1.x subnet.
3. Launch your web browser and type https://192.168.1.20  n the address f  eld. Press
enter (PC) or return (Mac).
4. Enter ubnt  n the Username and Password f  elds. Select your Country and Language.
