Congratulations on the purchase of your new surface mount LED array light (Patent Pending). Underwater Lights®USA, LLC takes
pride in providing well designed, high quality and thoroughly tested lights that allow you to “enhance your boating experience”.
These lights can be installed in your vessel for aesthetics, to attract fish and/or for security and safety.
General Operating Information:
The latest commercial grade “COB” High-Density Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology used in this light will provide robust and
reliable operation under normal operating conditions when used with the matching Underwater Lights®USA, LLC driver box.
Although the light is capable of running out of the water it is not advisable to do this for long periods of time as this will affect the
longevity of the light.
Depending upon water clarity conditions, the light beam can reach up to 30 meters (100 feet).
General Safety Information:
This light is intended for use on fiberglass and wood hulled vessels.
Always disconnect and lock-out power before working on light.
The light, electrical components and electrical cabling should be visually inspected for proper operating condition every six months.
Marine growth should be regularly removed from the convex glass using a soft brush to allow clear illumination from the light.

Installation:
This light should be installed at least 305mm (12”) below the water line by qualified/approved personnel using proper tools and materials. The
placement of surface mounted underwater lights on the hull bottom is not recommended.
After selecting a flat mounting surface on the vessel hull, drill a 12mm (1/2”) diameter hole for Electrical Cable (13) and 6.5mm (1/4”) diameter
hole for Phillips Oval Head Screw (9). Apply marine grade sealant to back of light then attach using Phillips Oval Head Screws (7 + 9), Large Flat
Washer (10) and Hex Locknut (11). Note: Depending upon mounting surface material small pilot holes may also be required. Caution! Check that
no electrical wiring, fuel lines, oil lines, water lines etc., pass near the selected mounting location. Upon completing light installation, apply
Lightspeed underwater light coating on the Front Flange (15) and Glass (3).
Route Electrical Cable (13) into vessel with maximum distance between LED driver box and light of 4.6 meters (15’), then secure accordingly.
Caution! Avoid making tight bends and/or passing Electrical Cable (13) over sharp edges/surfaces. Complete electrical connections per matching
Underwater Lights®USA, LLC LED driver box installation manual. Caution! Directly connecting power source to light without using the
LED driver box will permanently damage the light.
Bonding:
If Electrical Cable (13) includes a wire labeled “BONDING”, then connect this wire to the vessel cathodic system (yellow wire for RGB light, green
wire for single color light). Alternately, a bonding wire can be connected from the vessel cathodic system to Phillips Oval Head Screw (9). Failure
to complete either connection will expose the light to galvanic corrosion. Also, apply antifouling coating to the lights exposed metal surfaces.
Service:
The lights are factory rebuildable only. For all servicing return lights to the US office for repair and/or rebuilding.

General Safety Information:
This driver box is specifically designed for use with matching Underwater Lights®USA, LLC brand LED lights only.
Always ensure that VAC power is disconnected and locked out before performing driver box installation and/or service.
The driver box should be opened and visually inspected every six months.
Driver box electrical cabling should be visually inspected for proper operating condition every six months.

by disasters such as fire, flood and lightning, unauthorized repair or modifications will void said warranty. Should your driver box
prove defective during the warranty period, promptly contact Underwater Lights®USA, LLC for an RMA number and then return the
driver box freight prepaid with the RMA number clearly marked on the outside of the shipping container.

Installation:
The driver box should be mounted in a cool, dry, well ventilated and easily accessible location. Attach the driver box to a fixed
bulkhead or similar secure structure using appropriate M6 fasteners with adequate space between driver boxes for proper cooling.
Note: Whereas the driver box can be placed in any orientation, it is recommended that the cable strain reliefs face down.
Using marine grade cable, run a VAC input line into the driver box and secure using one large cable strain relief. Run cable from
supplied RGB LED Light and shielded DMX cable/s to the driver box and secure by way of remaining cable strain reliefs. Note:
Since the DMX Out cable is an optional feature, it may not exist. Caution! Avoid making tight bends and/or passing cables over
sharp edges/surfaces. Connect cable wire leads inside the driver box per wiring diagram below.
Serviceable Parts:
Upon opening the driver box by unscrewing four captive lid fasteners, replacement of RGB LED driver, surge protection device or
fused terminal block is accomplished by removal and replacement of associated fasteners and wiring. Further, a 10 Amp fuse
located in the terminal block may be pulled out and replaced as required. Caution! Ensure that VAC power is disconnected and
locked out before servicing driver box.
