You have ade an excellent choice in purchasing the
WPP 10 TE Unicraft hydraulic workshop press.
Carefully read the operating instructions prior to
commissioning.
They describe correct co issioning, intended use and
safe as well as efficient operation and aintenance of
your hydraulic workshop press.
The operating instructions for part of the hydraulic
workshop press. Keep these operating instructions at the
installation location of your hydraulic workshop press.
Please also note the locally applicable accident preven-
tion regulations and general safety regulations for the
use of hydraulic workshop presses.

2 Safety
This section provides an overview of all i portant safety
packages for personal protection as well as safe and reli-
able operation. The sections on individual service life
phases contain additional, specifically applicable safety
infor ation.
2.1 Le end of symbols

been highlighted with sy bols. Safety instructions are in-
dicated by signal ter s that express the degree of risk
involved.

Safety
Tips and recommendations
Observe the safety infor ation in these operating in-
structions to ini ise the risk of personal injury as well
as aterial da age and prevent hazardous situations.
2.2 Operator responsibility
Operators are defined as the persons who operate the
achine for co ercial or profit-based purposes or pro-
vide the achine to third parties for use or application
and bear the legal product responsibility in ter s of the
protection of users, staff or third parties during operation.
Obligations of the operator:
If the achine is used for co ercial purposes, opera-
tors are subject to the legal stipulations in ter s of occu-
pational safety. For this reason, the safety instructions in
these operating instructions as well as the safety, acci-
dent prevention and environ ental protection regula-
tions valid at the installation location ust be co plied
with. In this process, the following shall apply in particu-
lar:
- Operators shall obtain infor ation about valid oc-
cupational safety regulations and deter ine addi-
tional hazards as part of a risk assess ent which
result fro the specific operating conditions at the
achine's installation location. Said risk assess-
ent shall be reflected in operating instructions for
achine operation.
- During the entire achine operating ti e operators
ust check whether the operating instructions they
created eet current standards and adapt the op-
erating instructions where necessary.
- Operators shall clearly anage and specify the re-
sponsibilities for installation, operation, trouble-
shooting, aintenance and cleaning.
- Operators ust ake sure that all persons han-
dling the achine have read and understood these
operating instructions. Operators ust also regu-
larly train staff and notify of the hazards.
- Operators shall provide staff with the required pro-
tective equip ent and wearing the required protec-
tive equip ent shall be andatory.
Operators shall also be responsible for aintaining the
achine in a technically perfect condition. For this rea-
son, the following shall apply:
- Operators shall ake sure that the aintenance in-
tervals described in these operating instructions
are co plied with.
- Operators shall regularly check that the safety
equip ent is fully functional and co plete.
2.3 Operatin staff qualification
The different tasks described in these operating instruc-
tions require different levels of skills in ter s of the quali-
fications of operating staff working with the achine.
Exclusively persons of who it can be expected that
they reliably co plete assigned tasks shall be author-
ised to carry out any tasks. Persons whose reactions
have been i paired shall not be authorized, e.g. drug us-
ers, users under the influence of alcohol or edication.
These operating instructions specify the following per-
sonal qualifications for the different tasks:
Operating staff:
Operating staff has undergone an induction by the oper-
ator about the entrusted tasks and potential hazards re-
sulting fro i proper behaviour. Operating staff shall ex-
clusively be per itted to carry out any tasks beyond
operation in nor al ode if this has been specified in the
operating instructions and operators have explicitly en-
trusted operating staff with the task.

WARNING!
Risk from inadequately qualified
persons!
Inadequately qualified persons are unable to assess
the risks when handling the achine, thus putting
the selves and others at risk of severe or fatal inju-
ries.
- All work ust be carried out by qualified persons
only.
- Keep inadequately qualified persons away fro the
work area.

Specialist staff:
As a result of specialist training, expertise, experience
and skills in ter s of the relevant standards and regula-
tions, specialist staff is able to co plete the tasks they
are entrusted with and independently identify hazards
and avert risks.
Manufacturer:
Certain work ust be carried out by anufacturer spe-
cialist staff only. Other staff is not per itted to carry out
this work. Contact our custo er service to have the work
carried out.
2.4 Personal protective equipment
Personal protective equip ent is intended to protect the
health and safety of persons at work. Staff ust wear the
personal protective equip ent indicated in individual
sections of these operating instructions when carrying
out the different tasks on the achine.
The personal protective equip ent is described in the
following section:
2.5 Safety identifications on the workshop
press
The following safety identifications have been attached
to the workshop press (Fig. 1) which ust be observed.

protection, wear protective clothing and safety shoes
Safety identifications attached to the achine ust not
be re oved. Da aged or issing safety identifications
ay cause errors, personal injury and aterial da age.
They ust be replaced i ediately.
If the safety identifications are not visible and co pre-
hensible at first glance, the achine ust be stopped
until new safety identifications have been attached.
3 Intended use
The hydraulic workshop press is intended for use in the
auto otive and echanical engineering industry only. It
is suitable for pressing in/out bearings, bushes, e boss-
ing, defor ation and sta ping.
The hydraulic workshop press ust be operated by per-
sons who have been instructed on the use of the a-
chine only.
The intended use shall also include adherence to all in-
for ation in these operating instructions. Any other use
or use beyond the intended use shall be dee ed is-
use.
Stür er Maschinen G bH shall not assu e any liability
for design-based or technical odifications to the work-
shop press.
Any clai s resulting fro da age due to unintended use
shall be excluded.
Protective goggles
Protective goggles are intended to protect the eyes
fro flying parts.
Protective gloves
Protective gloves are intended to protect the hands
fro co ponents with sharp objects as well as fric-
tion, abrasion, and deep-cut injuries.
Safety shoes
Safety shoes protect feet fro pinching, falling parts
and slipping on slippery surfaces.
Protective clothing
Protective clothing is tight-fitting work clothing without
protruding parts, usually with a low tear resistance.

da age upon delivery. I ediately notify the haulage
co pany or retailer if you identify da age on the hydrau-
lic workshop press.

I proper transport is accident-prone and can cause da-
age or alfunctions for which we do not grant any liabi-
lity or guarantee.

CAUTION!
Injuries ay occur if parts of the achine tu ble or
fall down fro the forklift truck, pallet truck or fro
the transport vehicle.
Only use transport devices and load suspension gear
that can hold the total weight of the achine.

Transport the scope of delivery secured against shifting
or tilting with a sufficiently di ensioned industrial truck to
the installation site.
General risks during internal transport
Devices ay only be transported by authorized and
qualified persons. Act responsibly during transport and
always consider the consequences. Refrain fro daring
and risky actions.
Gradients and descents (e.g. driveways, ra ps and the
like) are particularly dangerous. If such passages are
unavoidable, special caution is required.
Before starting the transport check the transport route for
possible danger points, unevenness and disturbances
as well as for sufficient strength and load capacity.
Danger points, unevenness and disturbance points ust
be inspected before transport. The re oval of danger
spots, disturbances and unevenness at the ti e of trans-
port by other e ployees leads to considerable dangers.
Careful planning of internal transport is therefore essen-
tial.
The hydraulic workshop press ust be transported up-
right only. Do not stack hydraulic workshop presses on
top of each other. Do not place any other objects onto
workshop presses.
Secure the upright hydraulic workshop press on a pallet
using bolts. Said pallet ust be correctly secured in the
cargo area. Any loose parts ust be securely fastened to
the hydraulic workshop press, secured separately or
safely stored in a separate container.
Blank etal parts have been greased to protect the
fro hu idity and dirt.
Transport using industrial trucks/pallet trucks:
The hydraulic workshop press ust be positioned on an
even, stable surface (e.g. a pallet) and be secured with
bolts in the event of transport using a suitably di en-
sioned pallet truck or industrial truck.
Packaging
All packaging aterials and packing aids used for the hy-
draulic workshop press are suitable for recycling and
ust always be disposed of using aterial-based recy-
cling syste s.
Packaging aterials ade of cardboard ust be shred-
ded and disposed of as part of waste paper recycling.
The foils are ade of polyethylene (PE), padding is
ade of polystyrene (PS). Dispose of these substances
at a recycling centre or hand the over to the relevant
waste disposal co pany.
Storage
As a rule, the hydraulic workshop press ust be stored
in a clean condition and a dry, clean and frost-free envi-
ron ent.
CAUTION: ANGER OF TIPPING
The device ay be lifted unsecured by a axi u

E ployees ust be outside the danger zone, the
reach of loads.
Warn e ployees and, if necessary, advise e ploy-
ees of the hazard.
NOTE !
Take into account the weight of the achine when
transporting and lifting it. Transport and hoisting
equip ent ust be able to carry the load.
NOTE !
Protect the achine fro hu idity.
Tips and recommendations
Make sure the corrosion protection is active or
replaced (if necessary) in the event of prolonged
transport.

6.1 Scope of supply

6.2 Accessories

7 Setup
The hydraulic workshop press ust be set up and oper-
ated in dry, well-ventilated indoor areas only.
It ust be positioned securely and set up on an even,
stable surface that is free fro vibrations and be secured
using suitable ground anchors.
Make sure there is a sufficient a ount of clearance, ap-
proxi ately 1 clearance on each side (see Fig. 6) and
the work area is adequately lit.

The following parts of the hydraulic workshop press are
provided in disasse bled condition in the cardboard box
or screwed to the inside of the fra e:
- Crossbea feet
- Pu p unit
- Cylinders
- Pressure gauge
These parts ust be asse bled or converted and se-
cured with screws (see Fig. 7).

Risk of death!
Non-observance of these instructions causes a risk
of death.
- Do not work on the hydraulic workshop press under
the influence of alcohol, drugs or edication and/or
if you are very tired or suffer fro conditions i pair-
ing your concentration.
- The hydraulic workshop press ust be operated by
one person only. Additional persons ust keep out
of the work area during operation.
ATTENTION!
Risk of pinching!
Incorrectly working on the hydraulic workshop press
causes a risk of injury to fingers and hands.
- Securely position the workpiece for processing on
the support blocks and secure it to the support
blocks.
- Do not reach into the operating range of the hydrau-
lic workshop press during operation.
- Do not reach into the press and keep away fro
oving parts!
Wear protective goggles!
Wear safety shoes!
Wear protective clothing!
NOTE !
Carry out the following before operating the hydrau-
lic workshop press for the first ti e.
- Check all screw connections on the installed, hy-
draulic workshop press and retighten if necessary.
- Fill the pu p with hydraulic oil or top it up and seal
the filler neck using the yellow, plastic vent plug.
- Re ove any air fro the hydraulic syste .

Commissioning
9.1 Adjustin the table hei ht
Adjust the correct table working height using the adjust-
ent bolts to safely work on the hydraulic workshop
press.
Step 1: lift the press table on one side and keep it in this
position.
Step 2: pull the support bolt fro the fra e bore on the
side the table was lifted.
Step 3: lift the press table to the desired height or slightly
above the corresponding fra e bore.
Step 4: insert the support bolt into the corresponding
fra e bore.
Step 5: lower the press table onto the support bolt.
Step 6: also carry out these steps on the second side so
the table is positioned horizontally.
9.2 Settin up the work area
The work area ust have been set up properly to be able
to safely process the workpiece.
Step 1: position the support blocks on the press table.
Step 2: press the four pins in the support blocks down on
each side so they are fully inserted in the press
table.
This prevents the support blocks fro slipping or tilting
during processing.
9.3 Adjustin the horizontal workin position
Step 1: align the workpiece so that it is horizontal to the
hydraulic cylinder.
As a result, it cannot tilt during hydraulic cylinder pro-
cessing.
9.4 Ali nin hydraulic cylinders
The hydraulic cylinder can be anually oved to the de-
sired position over the workpiece. For this purpose, it can
be oved towards the left or right.
9.5 Buildin up pump pressure
Step 1: insert the pu p lever into the dedicated bush.
Step 2: ove the switching valve to the right-hand posi-
tion to access the hydraulic cylinder for filling.
Step 3: ove the pu p lever up and down until the
sta p co es into contact with the workpiece. Fill
the hydraulic cylinder with oil.
Step 4: continue to pu p until the required pu p pres-
sure has built up.
9.6 Retractin hydraulic cylinders
Step 1: ove the rotary button of the switching valve to
the left-hand position.
The hydraulic oil auto atically returns fro the cylinder
back into the pu p oil tank.
ATTENTION!
Risk of pinching!
Pinching ay result fro the press table not having
been fully supported on the support bolts.
- Check the table is fully supported on the support
bolts before adjusting the table height.
- Make sure the securing bolts have been installed
correctly!
IMPORTANT!
Make sure the workpiece has been centred under the
piston!
IMPORTANT!
Make sure the workpiece has been centred under the

NOTE !
Monitor both the working area and the pressure
gauge during pressing to exclude potential da age
to the press or workpiece caused by overloads.
IMPORTANT!
- Do not exceed the press capacity!
- Do not use extensions for the pressure lever
Tips and recommendations
The anufacturer has already configured the retract-
ing speed of the hydraulic cylinder. Modifications are
required or per itted following aintenance work or
repairs only. For this reason, the adjusting screw has
been covered.

9.7 Processin the workpiece
Step 1: Lock the support blocks as a pair on the press
table.
Step 2: Position and/or secure the workpiece centrally on
both the support blocks.
Step 3: Turn the hydraulic pu p control valve in clock-
wise direction until it has been closed co -
pletely.
Step 4: Move the pu p lever up and down. The pu p is
activated and the hydraulic cylinder lowers.
Step 5: Release the pu p lever once the hydraulic cylin-
der is over the workpiece.
Step 6: Align the workpiece and hydraulic cylinder.
Step 7: Operate the pu p lever to press the sta p onto
the workpiece. Monitor the pressure gauge dis-
play.
Step 8: Turn the control valve in anti-clockwise direction
after having processed the workpiece. The hy-
draulic cylinder returns to its base position/
standby position.
Step 9: Re ove the workpiece.
10 Maintenance and repairs
10.1 Cleanin maintenance
Keep the hydraulic workshop press clean.
Clean all plastic parts and painted surfaces with a soft,
oist close and so e neutral cleaning agent.
Re ove any excess lubricant or escaped oil using a
clean and lint-free cloth.
We reco end to have specialist staff clean and check
the hydraulic workshop press at ini u once a year.
10.2 Maintenance and repairs
Maintenance and repairs ust be carried out by special-
ist staff only.
If the hydraulic workshop press is not operating correctly,
contact a specialist retailer or our custo er service. The
contact details are listed in section 1.2 Custo er service.
All protective and safety equip ent ust be i ediately
reinstalled after having co pleted repair and ainte-
nance work.
An authorised person ust check the hydraulic pipes
and connections once a year. In the event of increased
usage periods, frequent or increased pressure pulses or
severe external influences the achine ust be checked
once every six onths.
The hydraulic pipes ust be replaced after an operating
period of six years. In the event of increased usage peri-
ods and stricter require ents pipes ust be replaced
every two years.
IMPORTANT!
- The support blocks ay only be used in pairs.
Never use a support block individually!
- The workpiece ust be aligned centrally on both
support blocks.
- Make sure the securing bolts have been installed
correctly!
- Make sure the workpiece has been centred under
the piston!
- Do not exceed the press capacity!
- Do not use extensions for the pressure lever
- Do not reach into the press and keep away fro
oving parts!
IMPORTANT!
- Do not use solvent to clean plastic parts or painted
surfaces. This ay cause the surface to disinte-
grate and cause consequential da age.
Wear protective gloves!
NOTE !
Do not use sharp cleaning tools for any cleaning. This
ay cause da age or destroy the achine.

10.2.5 Oil chan es

Step 1: open the screw connection on the retracted hy-
draulic cylinder.
Step 2: pu p out the hydraulic oil and collect it.
Topping up oil:
Step 1: retract the piston so that it is in the base position.
Step 2: top up new oil via the filler neck.
11 Disposal, reusin used machines
In your own interest and to protect the environ ent ake
sure that all achine co ponents are exclusively dis-
posed of in as intended and per itted.
11.1 Decommissionin
Disused achines ust be deco issioned i edi-
ately to prevent isuse at a later point and putting the
environ ent or persons at risk.
Step 1: re ove all environ entally hazardous process-
ing aterials fro the used achine.
Step 2: if necessary, disasse ble the achine into as-
se blies and co ponents that are easy to han-
dle and suitable for recycling.
Step 3: the achine co ponents and processing ateri-
als ust be disposed of using the intended dis-
posal ethods.
11.2 Disposin of lubricants
Lubricant anufacturers provide disposal infor ation for
the lubricants used. If necessary, request product-spe-
cific data sheets.
12 Spare parts
12.1 Spare parts orders
Spare parts are available fro authorised retailers or di-
rectly fro the anufacturer. The contact details have
been listed in section 1.2 Custo er service.
The following key data is required for queries or spare
parts orders:
- Device type
- Ite nu ber
- Spare parts drawing nu ber
- Position nu ber
- Year of anufacture
- Quantity
- Desired shipping type (post, freight, sea, air, ex-
press)
- Shipping address
Spare parts orders without the afore entioned data can-
not be taken into account. The supplier shall deter ine
the shipping type if no relevant data was provided.
Data on the achine type, ite nu ber and year of
anufacture is listed on the type plate attached to the
workshop press.
Example
The pressure gauge for the Hydraulic workshop press
WPP 10 TE ust be ordered. The pressure gauge has
the nu ber 1 in the spare parts drawing 1.
By ordering spare parts, send a copy of the spare parts
drawing (1) with the arked part (pressure gauge) and
arked positon nu ber (1) to the dealer or spare parts
depart ent and provide the following infor ation:
- Machine type: WPP 10 TE workshop press
- Ite nu ber: 630 0011
- Drawing nu ber: 1
- Position nu ber: 1

incorrect spare parts!
The use of incorrect or faulty spare parts ay cause
risks for operating staff and da age as well as al-
functions.
- Exclusively genuine spare parts ade by the anu-
facturer or spare parts authorised by the anufac-
turer shall be used.
- Always contact the anufacturer if you are unsure.
Tips and recommendations
The anufacturer warranty shall be rendered void in
the event of a use of unauthorised spare parts.
