User Information
Thank you for purchasing the Pureit Reverse Osmosis Water Purifier. Installation and
operating instructions are included in this manual.
• The applicable water temperature range is: 41°F - 100°F (5°C - 38°C). Do not use with
water beyond this temperature range.
• Please ensure there is a 100 - 240 V power outlet with type A plug under the sink prior to
installation.
• Never touch the power cord connector when your hands are wet as this may result in
electric shock.
• Only use original Pureit parts and replacement filters.
• All pictures are for reference only.
Preparation
• Check the parts list to confirm all are included in the package. If there are any parts
missing, cracked or broken, please do not proceed with the installation and contact Pureit
by phone 1-866-4-PUREIT (1-866-478-7348) or by email at [email protected].
• Check and ensure there is sufficient space under the sink to install the Pureit device
(product dimensions: 16.14" x 5.51" x 14.17"). The device should be placed inside the
cabinet.
• Please ensure you have a 1" hole drilled in the countertop for the Pureit faucet prior to the
installation of the Pureit system.
• The Pureit drinking faucet is only compatible with counter thickness up to 1.7".

This system and its installation must comply with state and local regulations.
Consult a licensed plumber for installation of this system. For installations in

How to drill a hole in your countertop to install the Pureit drinking faucet.
1. Select the desired location for the drinking faucet on the countertop near the sink.
2. Use a power drill to drill a 0.71'' - 1'' diameter hole for installation.
Depending on the countertop material and sink type, a professional installer is
recommended to drill a hole to install the Pureit drinking faucet.
The Pureit drinking faucet is only compatible with counter thickness up to 1.7".
NOTE:
Installation Steps
Step 1: Install the Reverse Osmosis (RO) Filter
1. Locate the recessed handle at the bottom of the panel.
2. On the left side, pull outward to open the side panel.
3. Locate the RO filter from the package and remove the protective packaging from the
filter.
NOTE:
The RO filter is provided separately within the same package.
Installation Tips
How to ensure proper tubing connection
To connect to tubing
1. Push the tubing into the port/valve/adapter at least 4/5" until the tubing is tightly inserted.
2. When the tubing is fully inserted, push the blue lock clip onto the fitting. The lock clip
holds the tubing in place and will prevent it from dislodging.
NOTE:
Please be sure to insert the tube fully. If the tubing is not fully inserted, leakage will
occur.
NOTE:
Check and cut the tubing end squarely and cleanly with utility knife to the desired
length.
NOTE:
Please do not pull out the tubing or plugs directly. This will damage the fitting and
cause leakage.

To disconnect from tubing or plugs
1. Remove the blue lock clip from the connection. (Please note that this step is not
necessary for plug removal.)
2. Use your thumb and index finger to press down the lock sleeve. Use your other hand to
pull out the tubing or plugs from the fitting.

4. Remove the rubber plugs from the RO filter. Lift the hoop of the RO filter to the full extent
and keep it in this position.
5. Position the bottom of the filter to the open recess in the device, then plug the filter tightly
in place.
6. Press down the hoop to the position shown below. Tug the filter outward to see if it is
securely installed.
7. Reinstall the side panel back into place.
NOTE:
In case the hoop handle comes off the filter you can simply re-assemble it back.
The hoop handle is required to lock the filter into the device.
Step 2: Install the Feed Water Adapter
1. Shut off the cold water supply. Turn on the kitchen faucet to release water pressure.
2. Connect the input water tubing (3/8" tubing) to the feed water adapter.
3. Disconnect the cold water pipe from the cold water supply valve.
4. Wrap the cold water supply threads with Teflon tape in a clockwise direction.
5. Connect the feed water adapter onto the cold water supply valve (with its washer) and
tighten it with a wrench.
6. Reconnect the cold water pipe onto the feed water adapter and tighten with a wrench.
NOTE:
If you find the tubing difficult to connect, please put one end into warm water for 5
seconds to allow it to soften. Then try again.

Step 4: Install the Drain Saddle
1. Choose a place on the drainage pipe that is convenient for installing the drain saddle
and tubing.

Step 3: Install the Pureit Faucet (Non-Air Gap Faucet)
1. Please check if your kitchen sink or countertop has an existing 0.71'' - 1'' diameter hole
to utilize such as a dedicated sprayer. If not, you will need to drill one. Please refer to
“How to drill a hole in your sink or countertop” on page 7.
2. Insert the soft rubber pad through the faucet stem so it sits at the bottom of the Pureit
faucet.
3. Place the Pureit faucet into the countertop hole. Under the sink, put the plastic washer
and fixing nut on through the faucet stem and tighten the nut to secure the Pureit faucet.
4. Connect the 1/4'' tubing to the quick connection fitting on the bottom of the Pureit faucet
and put the 1/4'' lock clip on the connection.

2. Select the location of the hole and drill a 1/4’’ inch hole through one side of the drain
pipe. Make sure not to penetrate the opposite side of the pipe.
3. Roughly estimate the length of 1/4" tubing needed to reach from the drain pipe to the
water purifier. This will be your waste water tubing. Use the utility knife to cut the 1/4"
tubing into two. The length should be determined base on how far you plan to place the
device from the filtered water tubing and waste water tubing. Please refer to the tubing
cut note on page 6.
4. Remove the release paper on the back of the black sticky pad. Attach it to the side of
drain saddle. Make sure the hole in the black sticky pad lines up with the holes in the
drain saddle.
5. Insert the other 1/4" tubing as the waste water tubing into the drain saddle. Please push
through 3/5" of the tubing into the black sticky pad.
6. Position the drain saddle around the hole drilled in the drain pipe and secure the tube
securely into the hole. Match up the other half of the drain saddle then tighten the two
screws and hex nuts to secure both parts.
7. Tug on the 1/4'' tubing to check and ensure it is properly secured.

3. Install the filtered water tubing:
Connect the filtered 1/4" water tubing from the Pureit faucet to the filtered water port.
4. Install the waste water tubing:
Connect the waste 1/4" water tubing from the drain saddle to the waste water port.
5. Add the blue lock clips around each connection point to ensure all tubing connections are
secure.

Step 5: Connect the Tubing
These are the steps to connect the tubing to the Pureit device.
1. Remove the grey plugs in the three portlets before inserting the tube：
Please press down the lock sleeves and pull out plugs from the device. Please refer to
“How to ensure proper tubing connection” on page 6.
2. Install the input water tubing:
Cut the 3/8" tubing into two. The length should be determined base on how far you plan
to place the device from the pressure relief valve connection (Please refer to the tubing
cut note on page 6.). Connect the 3/8" tubing from the feed water adapter to the pressure
relief valve (Please note the arrow on the valve should point towards the water purifier to
ensure the direction of water flow is correct), then use the other piece of 3/8" tubing to
connect the pressure relief valve to the input water port.
NOTE:
Ensure the tubing is 4/5" inserted into the port. Place the blue lock clip into the
lock sleeves to secure the connection.
You can use the 3/8" right angle quick connector to adjust the direction of the
tubing.
To disconnect please remove the lock clip, press down the lock sleeve and pull
out the plugs or inserted tubing.

Step 6: Connect the Power Adapter
Connect the power adapter into the power port at the back of the unit before connecting to
the power outlet.

Filter life indicator light
• When functioning normally, all 3 filter life indicator will be blue.
• When the filter life is about to expire, the filter life indicator light will flash
red every 2 seconds.
• When a filter has expired, the filter life will flash red quickly every second
and a beeping sound will go off when you turn on the drinking faucet.
• When the blue lights are flashing in sequence, it indicates that the
device is in flushing mode. The water purifier has built-in auto-flush feature
that will be enabled for 30 seconds when the machine has been on
standby for 12-hours.
• When the red lights are flashing in sequence, it indicates that the
device is in self-protection mode after dispensing water continuously for 30
minutes. To disable the self-protection mode unplug the unit from the
power outlet and plug-it back in to restart.

To reset the selected filter, press and hold the reset button for 3 seconds.

After replacing the filter, press the select button to reset the new filter. The
corresponding light indicator will be lit next to the filter name.

2. Turn on the Pureit faucet and run the purifier device for 2 hours to flush the system. This
should be done each time when the reverse osmosis filter is changed.
3. Then turn off the Pureit faucet to let the purifier stand for 24 hours.
4. Turn on the Pureit faucet and flush the device for 2 hours again. Once this process is
complete, the system is now ready to use and filtered water can be consumed directly.
NOTE:
Please do not consume water during the flushing process. The water can be
reused and conserved for other purposes such as watering plants.
When the device is running for 30 minutes continuously a self-protection mode
will be enabled to stop the device from over-working and red indicator lights will
flash repeatedly. To disable the self-protection mode and restart the unit, unplug
the unit from the power outlet and plug-it back in to restart. You can then resume
flushing.
Step 7: Starting the System for the First Time
1. Plug in the power adapter into a power outlet. Turn on the cold water supply valve, feed
water adapter and the Pureit faucet. Check for leaks.
NOTE:
When the unit is powered on, all three filter life indicators will turn blue to indicate
the unit is on. Slight vibrations can be expected as the pump starts.
Inspect the system for any water leakage especially at the joints, fittings, valves
and tubing connections. If any water leakage is found, turn off the cold water
supply immediately and reinforce all tubing connections. If the issue persists
please contact Pureit customer service.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
Filter Life Reminder
Your Pureit device comes with a filter lifetime indicator which alerts when it's time to replace
the filter.
1. When the filter is about to expire: There will be a beeping sound and the filter's
corresponding indicator light will flash in red every 2 seconds on the interface.
2. When the filter has expired and needs to be replaced: The filter's corresponding indicator
light will flash red every second and will generate 5 beeping sounds with a delay in
dispensing water when you turn on the drinking faucet. Please replace the filter.

1. When a filter needs to be replaced, the corresponding filter life indicator light will flash on
the front of the device.
2. Open the side panel of the main unit:
2.1 Locate the recessed handle at the bottom left side of the panel.
2.2 Pull outward to open the side panel.

NOTE:

This reverse osmosis water purifier contains replaceable filters that are critical for
effective reduction of contaminants and total dissolved solids (TDS). It is
recommended to periodically test the purified water to ensure the purifier is
performing properly. The recommended filter lifetime is for reference only, the
specific replacement cycle depends on the frequency of use.

3. Removing the expired filter：
3.1 Please turn off the inlet valve on feed water adapter or shut off cold water supply valve
before replacing the filters.
3.2 After turning off the inlet valve, lift the hoop of the expired filter to the full extent and
keep it in this position.
3.3 Pull the hoop outwards and take out the filter, and wipe off the remaining water with a
towel.
4. Replacing the filter:
4.1 Remove the packaging of the new filter.
4.2 Remove the rubber plugs from the filter. Lift the hoop of the new filter to the full extent
and keep it in this position.
4.3 Insert the bottom of the filter into the recessed hole in the unit then push the filter tightly
into the portlets tightly.
4.4 Press down the hoop. Tug the filter outward to ensure it is securely installed.
4.5 After replacing the filter please turn on the Pureit drinking faucet to flush it prior to
normal use. PGP and CTO filter need to flush for 10 minutes; RO filter need to flush for
2 hours and then let it stand for 24 hours before flushing again for 2 hours.

Resetting the filter
1. Press the button to select the corresponding filter life indicator light of the replaced
filter, until the indicator flashes.
2. Press the button and hold for 3 seconds until the indicator light turns a steady blue
accompanied by the buzzers. The filter element reset is now completed.

The RO membrane polymers or other components own best performance at pH 7~7.5, 15
PSI~60 PSI water pressure, 41°F - 100°F water temperature. Other environments may
affect performance.
Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without
adequate disinfection before or after the system.
This reverse osmosis system contains a replaceable treatment component critical for
effective reduction of contaminants and total dissolved solids. The product water shall be
tested periodically to verify that the system is performing properly.
The system has been tested according to NSF/ANSI Standard 58 for the reduction of TDS,
Cadmium, and Trivalent Chromium, as verified and substantiated by test data. The
concentration of the indicated substances in the water entering the system was reduced to a
concentration less than or equal to the permissible limit for the water leaving the system, as
specified by NSF/ANSI Standard 58. While testing was performed under standard laboratory
conditions, actual performance may vary.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
If the system will not be used for more than a week, please shut off the cold water supply
valve, drain the system and disconnect the power.
Please replace filters regularly based on the filter life indicators. The actual filter life depends
on the water source quality and frequency of use.
MAINTENANCE
Pressure
Water pressure affects both the quantity and quality of the water produced by the reverse
osmosis filter and should not to exceed 100 PSI (the maximum working pressure of the
system) and the minimum feed water pressure should not be less than 15 PSI.
﹡TDS, Trivalent Chromium, Cadmium claims were tested at 50±3 PSI.
Temperature
The recommended feed water temperature is meant to help ensure optimal flow rate of the
reverse osmosis water purifier. Additionally, please ensure the water purifier is installed in a
location that avoids direct sunlight and drastic room temperature changes.
Total Dissolved Solids
Total dissolved solids in feed water should be less than 550 mg/L (ppm). Total dissolved
solids in the feed water higher than 550 mg/L (ppm) may need higher working pressure to
achieve filtration capacity.
Hardness
Hardness in feed water should be less than 270 mg.
PH
Feed water should have a PH between 7-7.5 to prevent a reduction of filtered water
produced by the reverse osmosis membrane.
SDI15 & Turbidity
Feed water should have SDI15 < 5, and Turbidity < 1 NTU, to ensure the measured filtered
volume of the water purifier.

WARNING
The feed water pressure is required to be between 15 PSI and 60 PSI.
The reverse osmosis water purifier can operate without air gap faucet. If your local plumbing
code may require one to be installed, use a dual air gap faucet for dishwasher and reverse
osmosis water purifier if necessary.
See below example for connection to a dual air gap faucet. It is recommended to consult a
professional plumber and check your local plumbing code before installing an air gap faucet.

Limited Warranty
Pureit warrants that your Pureit water purifier will be free from defects in material or
workmanship for one (1) year (or two (2) years for a unit registered for extended warranty)
(the “Product Warranty Period”) from the date of purchase provided that you and your Pureit
water purifier have met each and all of the Limited Warranty Conditions (“Limited
Warranty”). To extend the Limited Warranty from one (1) year to two (2) years, simply

section of your customer account, within (60) days of purchase.
What the Limited Warranty Covers and Does Not Cover
Your Limited Warranty (as defined below) remains in effect only if the following conditions
are met (the “Limited Warranty Conditions”):
1. Your Pureit water purifier is operated in accordance with the instructions provided.
2. Your Pureit water purifier has had its filter changed with original Pureit replacement filters
according to the manufacturer recommended filter replacement schedule listed in the
Pureit User Manual.
3. Your Pureit water purifier is connected to a proper power supply (see voltage label on
machine).
4. Your Pureit water purifier shows no evidence of tampering, mishandling, neglect,
accidental damage, modification, improper installation, improper storage, abnormal
physical stress, abnormal environmental conditions, use contrary to any instructions
issued by Pureit and/or repair done by anyone other than authorized Pureit service
personnel.
5. Warranty registration has been completed online or through the mail.
6. Your Pureit water purifier has not left the continental US or Canada.
7. Warranties has not been transferred.
Further, the Limited Warranty does not cover replacement filters or any products or services
obtained from third-party vendors, even if such products or services were obtained through
Pureit’s website. Please contact the third-party vendors regarding their products and/or
services including the terms and conditions applicable to the same.

In the event of a malfunction or failure of your Blueair Inc d/b/a Pureit (“Pureit”) water
purifier, please contact your local dealer or Pureit directly for further assistance. You can

During the applicable Product Warranty Period, you should notify Pureit of any alleged
defect (but in any event before the expiration of the applicable Product Warranty Period).
Pureit may, at its sole discretion and option, require you to return the allegedly defective
product to inspect the product and determine the existence of any defect. If Pureit
reasonably determines that such alleged defect exists, Pureit will exchange the product with
a product that is new or which has been manufactured from new or serviceable used parts
(in the case of defect in a unit registered for extended warranty, with a refurbished product)
and is at least functionally equivalent to the original product at no charge and will cover any
shipping charges. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, the foregoing
replacement of any defective product is your exclusive remedy with respect to
Pureit’s noncompliance with Limited Warranty. If an alleged defect is notified to Pureit
after the expiration of the applicable Product Warranty Period, repair services are available
with additional fees and shipping costs.

EXPRESSED, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE CREATED UNDER
APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY WARRANTY OF
MERCHANTABILITY AND ANY WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE WHETHER ARISING BY LAW, COURSE OF DEALING, COURSE OF
PERFORMANCE, USAGE OF TRADE OR OTHERWISE, ALL OF WHICH ARE HEREBY
EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW DISCLAIMERS OF
IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO THIS DISCLAIMER MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. TO THE
EXTENT SUCH WARRANTIES CANNOT BE DISCLAIMED UNDER THE LAWS OF YOUR
JURISDICTION, WE LIMIT THE DURATION AND REMEDIES OF SUCH WARRANTIES
TO THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY.
Limitation of Liability
THE REMEDIES DESCRIBED ABOVE ARE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES
AND OUR ENTIRE LIABILITY FOR ANY BREACH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. OUR
LIABILITY SHALL UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES EXCEED THE ACTUAL AMOUNT PAID
BY YOU FOR THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT, NOR SHALL PUREIT OR THE
MANUFACTURER OF THE PRODUCTS OR THEIR RESPECTIVE AFFILIATES UNDER
ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT OR
WHETHER CAUSED BY OR RESULTING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF PUREIT
AND/OR ITS AFFILIATES. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR
LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE
LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
