KBHF Trouble Shooting Guide
* System Length under 70m, no curves *
**IMPORTANT: Always disconnect and lock out system from mains/power supply
before performing any inspection or installation work **
Layout Guide Lines:
Hanger Placement:
First and Last Hanger –Must be placed at least 250 mm from end of system with
a max distance of 500mm allowed.
Fix point Hanger –1x per system, centered approximately. All other hangers
must be sliding
Distance from joints –At least 250mm, max distance of 500mm allowed.
Joint Placement :
See installation instruction for step by step
directions.
Joint Cap –Ensure joint caps are installed
correctly and engaged at top, side and bottom. (see
photo)
Placement –ensure hangers are placed in
accordance with the minimum distance of 250mm and
max distance of 500mm.
Incorrect Installation

Conductor Bar Installation:
Visually inspect system to ensure no horizontal
or vertical deviation. Conductor bar should be installed
precisely aligned to the runway. (See photo)
Inspection:
Visually inspect each joint to ensure proper
connection and engagement of cap. Joint should be
smooth and without any burr to avoid damage to collector
brush. A max 2mm gap between copper strips is allowed.

Collectors –Ensure proper engagement of tow
arm and no side forces are applied to collector. Loss of
contact and damage can occur. Slowly hand pull a
collector through length of system to identify trouble
spots. Collectors should slide smoothly through system
with minimal resistance. (See photo )
