Overview
Vaisala Veriteq
viewLinc provides
monitoring, alarming
and real-time
graphing for any PC
or mobile device on
the network.
To install viewLinc on a dedicated 24x7 server PC:
1. Insert the viewLinc Installation CD and start the Setup Wizard.

Choose an installation language.
Review and accept the License Agreement.
Specify a destination for the viewLinc program les.
d.Select Enterprise Server.
e. Enter your Installation Key then follow the prompts to accept the
remaining default installation options.
2. Reboot your viewLinc Server machine.

To connect Loggers using vNet Devices:
1. Remove protective label on bottom or back of the Logger.
2. Connect Logger to the vNet Device.
3. Connect vNet Device to Ethernet outlet and, if not using PoE, the power supply.
To connect an HMT140 Wi-Fi Logger:
1. Ensure the HMT140 Conguration Cable is disconnected from your PC.
2. Open the HMT140 case to ensure the power switch is OFF, then install three
3.6V lithium batteries and turn power switch ON.
3. Connect the HMT140 Conguration Cable to your PC.
To connect Loggers with Digi Devices or 300 Series Transmitters, refer to the specific Device User’s Guide.

Configure Logger Connectivity
1. Run the Device Setup Wizard (on the Vaisala Veriteq Device Drivers CD).
2. Identify your Device using the MAC address,found on the side or bottom of the Device.
3. Enter an IP address (provided by your IT department).
4. Select RealPort settings, and choose to install the RealPort for your Device.
5. Complete the Wizard accepting all remaining default options.
To configure HMT140 Device connectivity:
1. Run the HMT140 Utility (installation CD).
2. Connect the HMT140 Conguration Cable to the 4-pin HMT140 CONFIG header.
3. On the HMT140 Utility Setup tab, click Retrieve. To make conguration changes, refer to
the HMT140 Wi-Fi Data Logger User’s Guide.
4. Disconnect the Conguration Cable from the Device, wait 8 seconds, then press the
SERVICE button.
Configure viewLinc
1. On your viewLinc Server desktop, click the desktop icon, .
2. Log in with username: admin and password: admin.

Note: viewLinc Aware configures Logger connectivity automatically (vNet Devices with s/n1411xxxx or
