INTRODUCTION
This manual is designated for Vega DP-1 device (hereinafter – sensor) manufactured by
Vega-Absolute OOO and provides information on powering and activation procedure,
control commands and functions of the device.
This manual is targeted at specialists familiar with installation work fundamentals for
electronic and electrical equipment.
The device shall be installed and adjusted by qualified specialists to
ensure proper operation of the device
Vega-Absolute OOO reserves the right to make changes to the manual related to the
improvement of equipment and software, as well as to eliminate typos and inaccuracies,
without prior notice.

1 DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
The Vega DP-1 leakage sensor is designed to determine the fact of flooding of any
premises.
The leakage sensor can be used with equipment that has a security circuit triggering on
short circuit.
Vega DP-1 has a convenient mounting hole for mounting to a flat surface.

3 OPERATION
CONNECTING TO THE SECURITY CIRCUIT
The leakage sensor is connected to the security circuit of any end device. In the Vega
radio modems lineup there are the following devices with security contacts:
- Vega SI-11;
- Vega SI-12;
- Vega SI-13-232;
- Vega SI-13-485;
- Vega SI-22
- Vega TD-11;
- Vega TP-11;
- Vega M-BUS-1;
- Vega GM-2;
- Vega SH-2;
- Vega NB-11;
- Vega NB-12;
- Vega NB-13;
- Vega NB-14;
- Vega NB-15.
Any of these devices can be used to connect a leakage sensor. To do this, you need to
make sure that the security inputs of the corresponding device are configured to operate
when short circuit through the “Vega LoRaWAN Configurator” or “Vega NB-IoT Configurator”
application, depending on the end device.
For more information about setting security inputs through the application, see the
user manual for the corresponding radio modem.
The connection diagram of the leakage sensor to the end device is shown in the figure
below.

The long cable of the leakage sensor allows you to place the radio modem outside the
zone of possible flooding.
MOUNTING RECOMMENDATIONS
The leakage sensor should be installed in such a way that its contacts primarily touch
the flood zone perpendicular to the flooding plane.
Below is an example of installing the sensor close to the wall near the floor. The sensor
contacts must touch the floor so that flooding causes the sensor to short-circuit and trigger.

4 STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION REQUIREMENTS
Vega DP-1 shall be stored in the original packaging in heated room at temperatures
+5°С to +40°С and relative humidity less than 85%.
The sensor shall be transported in covered freight compartments of all types at any
distance at temperatures -40°C to +85°C.

5 WARRANTY
The warranty period for the device is 5 years from the date of sale.
The manufacturer is obligated to provide repair services or replace the failed device
during the entire warranty period.
The consumer undertakes to comply with the terms and conditions of transportation,
storage and operation specified in this user manual.
Warranty does not apply to:
- the device with mechanical, electrical and / or other damages and defects caused by
violation of the transportation, storage and operation requirements;
- the device with traces of repair performed not by the manufacturer's service center;
- the device with traces of oxidation or other signs of liquids leaking inside the device.
