INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Thank you for purchasing this Ventair Cooling Fan. To ensure correct function and safety, please
read all instructions before using the product and keep all instructions for future reference.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of re, electrical shock and personal injury.
1. Use this fan only as described in this manual. Other use that is not recommended may
cause re, electric shock or injury to persons. This will also void your warranty.
2. Always operate the product from a power source of the same voltage, frequency and
rating as indicated on the rating label.
3. This product is intended for household and indoor use ONLY. Do not use it outdoors or
anywhere it might be exposed to the elements.
4. Under our warranty terms, this ceiling fan must be correctly installed by a licensed
electrician. Improperly installed ceiling fans can be dangerous and expensive to repair;
it will also void your warranty.
5. Before installing the fan, make sure you have turned off the main electricity supply. Do not
turn it back on until the fan is fully installed and ready to use.
6. To protect against electric shock: do not immerse unit or cord in water or spray with
liquids;
7. Do not use this product in the immediate vicinity of water, such as bathtubs, washbowls,
swimming pools etc where the like likelihood of immersions or splashing could occur.
8. To reduce the risk of re or electric shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state
speed control device.
9. This appliance is not intended for the use of persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
10. This product is not a toy! Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with
the appliance.
11. Turn the fan OFF when not in use and before disassembling or cleaning. Fully assemble
the fan before switching on again.
12. Do not operate the fan in the presence of explosive and/or ammable fumes
13. Do not place the fan or any parts near an open ame, cooking or other heating appliance.
14. Do not operate fan with a damaged cord, or if the product malfunctions, or is dropped or
damaged in any manner.
15. Avoid contact with moving fan parts. Do not insert any body parts (e.g. nger) or object
through the grill when the fan is operating.
16. The use of attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may be hazardous. Use
only with the provided wall switch.
17. Do not operate if the fan housing is damaged.
18. Do not cover the grille, or operate in close proximity to curtains. etc. Ensure adequate
ventilation around the unit.
19. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, it’s service agent
or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.

20. If the fan is not working properly, contact a qualied technician for examination and repair.
Never attempt to dismantle the fan yourself.
21. Never install or store the unit where it could be subject to:
A. Heat sources such as radiators, heat register, stoves or other products that
produce heat
B. Direct sunlight
C. Mechanical vibration or shock
D. Excessive dust.
22. Do not leave the fan running unattended.
23. The fan must be fully and properly assembled before use.
24. The xing means for attachment to the ceiling such as hooks or other devices shall be xed
with a sufcient strength to withstand 4 times the weight of the ceiling fan.
25. That the mounting of the suspension system shall be performed by the manufacturer, it’s
service agent or suitably qualied persons.
26. The the fan is be installed so that the blades are more than 2.1m above the oor.
27. Means for disconnection must be incorporated in the xed wiring in accordance with the
wiring rules.

29. The appliance is only intended for the purpose described in user manual. Do not use
appliance or any part of the appliance out of the intended use to avoid risk.
30. The use of attachments which are not recommended or sold by the appliance
manufacturer may cause a risk of injury to persons.

ASSEMBLING YOUR FAN
Rear Grille Assembly
1. Unscrew the 4 x Rear Grille Locking Screws (M5 x 6) from the Motor housing.
2. Align the Rear Grille on the Motor Housing and x it in place using 4 x Rear Grille Locking
Screws (Figure 1).
Fan Blade Assembly
1. Remove the plastic sleeve on the Motor Shaft and unscrew the Blade Screw.
2. Slide the Fan Blade onto the Motor Shaft as far as it will go. Replace the Blade Screw into
the slot on the Motor Shaft and tighten clockwise. Ensure that the at surface of the Motor
Shaft is aligned with the Blade Screw (Figure 2).

Front Grille Assembly
1. Loosen the Grille Locking Screw on the bottom of the Grille Ring (do not loosen fully).
Press the Grille Ring over the Rear Grille so that the Rear Grille ts into the groove on the
Grill Ring.
2. Position the Front Grille in front of the Rear Grille. Push each section of the Front Grille onto
the groove so that the Grille Ring ts around Both Grilles.
3. Tighten the Grille Locking Screw (and Nut) on the bottom of the Grille Ring. Press the Grille
Ring Cover on to the Grille Ring so that the Grille Locking Screw ts into the groove.
• Under our warranty terms, this ceiling fan be installed by a licensed electrician. Improperly
installed ceiling fans can be dangerous and expensive to repair; it will also void warranty.
• The intended installation point (on the ceiling) must be strong enough to withstand the
weight of the fan, as well as the strong forces during it’s movement (at least 4 x the weight
of the fan).
• An additional disconnection switch must be included in the xed wiring, in close proximity
to the ceiling fan to isolate the source for maintenance or repairs.
CEILING INSTALLATION AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
MUST BE INSTALLED BY A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN

Clearance Required
The fan must be installed such that:
1. It is at least 40cm from the side walls.
2. The blades are more that 2.1m above
the oor
The installation process described below, as
well as the xings provided, is for a concrete
ceiling. The other ceiling types, please
contact your local hardware store.
1. Loosen and remove the 4 x Bracket Screws (plastic head) by hand (Step a).
2. Use a screwdriver to loosen and remove the 2 End Plate Screws and Washers(Step b).
3. Remove the Ceiling Bracket from the Fan Head (Figure 4).
4. Choose a suitable location for the ceiling fan. Hold the Ceiling Bracket against the ceiling
to mark the positions and drill holes.
5. Use the 2 x Expansion Bolts, 4 x Ceiling Anchors and 4 x Ceiling Screws to x the Ceiling
Bracket in place.
6. Slide the Fan Head into the Ceiling Bracket (Step c). and fasten the 4 x Bracket Screws.
Note: Make sure the cable passes through the grooves on one edge of the Ceiling
Bracket.
7. Fix the End Plate to the Ceiling Bracket using the 2 x End Plate Screws and Washers.
Fixings for a concrete ceiling:

(M8 x 60mm)
4 x Ceiling Anchors (6 x 28mm)
4 x Ceiling Screws (M4 x 16mm)
Warning: Before installing the fan, make sure you have
turned off the main electricity supply. Do not turn it back
until the fan is fully installed and ready to use.

Oscillation
Choose the desired angle when nishing all assembly.
There are 3 adjustable angles:
Small Angle:
The unit starts working in a small angle.
Middle Angle:
Press the Rotating Bar up and make the Fixing Nut
lock on the middle hole.
Wide Angle:
Press the Rotating Bar up and make the Fixing lock
on the Outer hole.

WARNING:
FOR YOUR SAFETY, ALL ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
MUST BE UNDERTAKEN BY A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN.
NOTE: AN ADDITIONAL ALL POLE DISCONNECTION MUST BE INCORPORATED IN
THE FIXED WIRING IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE WIRING RULES.
Carefully connect the wires as per the diagrams below:
Important: Use only the provided wall switch with this fan; using other wall switches may
damage the fan and will void your warranty.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
WARNING
1. This fan must be installed by a licensed electrician. Improperly
installed ceiling fans can be dangerous and expensive to repair;
it will also void your warranty.
2. Make sure that the fan is fully assembled (and that the grilles are
in place locked) before switching on.
CAUTION:
• Always switch off the fan before removing the grilles or
performing any cleaning.
• Do not use harsh detergents, chemical cleaners or solvents as
they may damage the surface of the components
• Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance work, always
make sure that the appliance is disconnected.
Turn on / Speed Adjustment: There are four positions for the Wall Speed Switch:
0 - Off
1 - Low Speed
2 - Medium Speed
3 - High Speed
1. Use a soft brush or a lint-free cloth to clean the blades. To avoid the
possibility of an electric shock, do not use water for cleaning.
2. Make sure that the fan is completely assembled before switching on again.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL
WARRANTY
If you do not plan to use the fan for extended periods of time, it is recommended that it is
cleaned and stored (preferably in it’s original packaging) in a cool, dry place.

THE AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW. YOU ARE ENTITLED TO A REPLACEMENT OR
REFUND FOR A MAJOR FAULT AND COMPENSATION FOR ANY OTHER REASONABLY
FORESEEABLE LOSS OR DAMAGE. YOU ARE ALSO ENTITLED TO HAVE THE GOODS
REPAIRED OR REPLACED IF THE GOODS FAIL TO BE OF ACCEPTABLE QUALITY AND THE
FAILURE DOES NOT AMOUNT TO A MAJOR FAILURE.
This product is covered by a two year replacement warranty.
Before having the fan installed, check all the components ti ensure there is no visual damage.
Should there be any damage, return the fan to the place of purchase for replacement.
The following points need to be checked before requesting a warranty replacement. Please
ensure your installer also reads this information.
1. The fan or relevant part has not been modied, subject to misuse, neglect or been.
2. Been involved in an accident.
3. The repairs are not required as a result of normal wear and tear.
4. The product was installed in accordance with the instruction manual.
5. No solid state speed control device has been used with this appliance.
• If you consider there are faults relating to the installation, contact your installer to rectify.
• If you consider there is an manufacturer defect to the fan motor, contact the
warranty service line on 1300 665 926, or log the warranty at
www.ventair.com.au/warranty
You will need to provide the following information:
• The name and contact details of the licensed electrician installer (if applicable).
• The brand, model number and colour of the unit.
• The date and place of purchase if the unit.
• The owners name, address and telephone contact numbers.
• The nature of the fault.
Do not dispose of electrical products with household waste. Please check
with your local council for advise on disposal or recycling. If electrical
appliances are disposed of in landlls or dumps, hazardous substances
can into the groundwater and get into the food chain, damaging your health
and wellbeing.
