CONGRATULATIONS, as you have just chosen a quality ceiling fan.
This fan is Full 316 Stainless Steel and is an outdoor fan suitable for Marine/ Coastal /
Tropical Areas etc.
C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S O N Y O U R C H O I C E
The information contained in the following pages has been prepared to ensure you of
trouble-free operation of your Ceiling Fan .
1. To ensure the success of the installation be sure to read the instructions and study the
diagrams thoroughly.
2. All electrical work should only commence after disconnection of the power by
removing fuses or turning off the circuit breaker to ensure all pole isolation of the
electrical supply.
3. Make sure that your installation site will not allow the rotating fan blades to come into
contact with any object and that there is a minimum clearance of 150mm (6") from the
blade tip to the wall or ceiling. Please note that the bigger this clearance is the better the
airflow from your fan will be. Ensure the blades are mounted at a units height of 2.1
meters from the floor when the fan is installed.
4. The fixing point for the fan must be able to support the weight of 6 times that of the net
weight of the fan. Net weights can be found on the bottom of the unit box. If you are
mounting the fan to a ceiling junction box, the box and fixing must be able to support the
moving weight of the fan and must not twist or work loose.
5. The fan must be earthed.
6. Do not connect the fan motor to a dimmer switch. This may give an unsatisfactory
performance (motor hum) and cause damage to the motor.
7. It is not recommended that ceiling fans and gas appliances be operated in the same
room at the same time.
8. The fan must be turned off and stopped completely before reversing the fan direction.
This will prevent any damage to the motor of the unit or controller (if installed).
9. Do not insert anything into the fan blades while the fan is operating. This will damage
the blades and upset the balance of the unit causing the unit to wobble.
10. After the fan is completely installed make sure that all connections are secured and
tightened to prevent any problems.
11. Because of the fans natural movement, some connections may loosen. Check the
support connections, brackets and blade attachments twice a year to make sure they are
all secured. If they are loose, tighten with a screwdriver.

NOTE: ALL POLE DISCONNECTION SWITCH MUST BE INCLUDED IN
THE FIXED WIRING. A SAFETY SWITCH IN THE SWITCH BOARD TO
THE FANS’ WIRING CIRCUIT IS CONSIDERED TO COMPLY WITH
THIS REQUIREMENT.
Always check the“ Trouble S hooting C hecklist”included i n t his
b ooklet b efore calling for service. Unnecessary calls are
inconvenient for all and can attract a Service charge.

CAUTION: Before installing your fan, make sure you have turned OFF the electricity.
If it is nec essary to reduce the length of the downrod, please ensure that the cut is made
cle an and square, that all burrs are removed and the locating hole is drill ed true and
squ are. If this hole is drilled out of square, you wil l introduce out of balance
cha racteristics to the fan, which is not covered by warranty.
Cho ose a location for mounting the fan where the blade will have at least 2.1m of
cle arance from all objects. If the location you have chosen does not have a suitable
sup port be am, install a 2 x 4”brace between the ceiling joists as a support medium.
The brace between the ceiling joists must be strong enough to support a 30-35kg weight.

3. CONNECTING BLADE SETS TO MOTOR
Quick Fix
Take away the plastic film and put the blade holder over the screw pre assembled on the motor, and
tighten the screws. Repeat the procedure for remaining blades.

If you are adding a light kit. Please install the light kit in the following steps:

A/ Remove the decorative screw at the bottom of the motor, and pull the light kit
supply wires from the motor shaft. Fit fiberglass insulating sleeve over the light kit
supply wires.
B/ Insert the light kit supply wires through the adaptor, ensuring that the star washer
is to the back of the light kit plate, and screw the adaptor into the fan motor
shaft and secure.
C/ Secure the light kit onto the fan via the adaptor and then connect the wiring to
the terminal block located on the plate of the Light Kit.
WARNING: MAKE SURE "ACTIVE" TO "L", AND NEUTRAL TO "N" OF THE LUMINAIRE
TERMINAL BLOCK.
D/ Excess insulation sleeving should be fed back into the motor body.
E/ Install recommended light bulbs. Ensure wiring insulation is kept clear of the bulb.

Carefully connect the wires using the wiring diagrams 8a) and 8b).

Warning: For your safety, ensure the mains supply is switched OFF to the wiring circuit before
performing any electrical wiring tasks.
Follow the installation instruction below to complete the electrical wiring to the ceiling fan and
wall controller.
Installation tips
All pole disconnection switch must be included in the fixed wiring.
- Only use the included wall control plate – using other wall control plates will void warranty
and may damage the fan.
- Do not use a solid-state dimmer control;

Step A/ Connect the EARTH wire to the terminal port marked “ ”on the terminal block
mounting bracket (Fig. 8a).
Step B/ Connect the supply LIVE wire to the wall controller terminal port labelled
"TO 240V/50Hz". (Fig. 8b).
Step C/ Connect a wire from the Fan Live "L" from the terminal block mounting bracket
(Fig. 8a), to the terminal port labelled "FOR FAN-L" on the wall controller (Fig. 8b).
Step D/ Connect a wire from the Light Live“ ” from the terminal mounting bracket (Fig. 8a),
to the terminal port labelled "FOR LIGHT-L" on the wall controller (Fig. 8b).
Note: The fan light wiring is only applicable to fan models with a light kit.
Step F/ Connect the supply Neutral wire to the terminal port marked "N" on the terminal block
mounting bracket (Fig. 8a).
Once all the above steps have been followed, you are now ready to restore the mains power
supply. Make sure there is nobody near or under the fan, then turn ON the fan (and light switch
if included in your model) to test.
If you notice any problems, please recheck the installation and wiring procedures above, as
well as the "Troubleshooting Checklist' on page11.

- The wall control shall fit into existing gang block or wall plate. If you do not flush mount
the control, use a standard single gang mounting block;
- Careful not to mix the supply live and the fan live connection. Reverse connection of
the speed control will affect the correct operation of the fan;
- After the wiring connections are completed, ensure that all wires are arranged in a tidy
manner, and make sure the ball sits well into the bracket, as it is important to reduce your
fan from wobbling.
8. REVERSING SWITCH
Switch shall be in the “summer” position to make the fan rotate in the anticlockwise direction
during summer season, and in the “winter” position to make the fan rotate clockwise direction
during winter season.
Warning: For your safety, before changing between “winter” or “summer” position, make
sure the fan is switched OFF and the fan blades have come to a complete stop.
Warmer Weather – Have the airflow directed downwards.
Cooler Weather – Have the airflow directed upwards.
