DESCRIPTION
The Art.VR4KAM2W unit is a digital front panel based on a “2
wire” BUS intercom system for the VX2200 system.
This unit is housed in a single 4000 Series module from the VR4K
vandal resistant range. It incorporates the functional interface
connections from functional to digital and the speaker unit
module with 0, 1, 2 or 3 call buttons. This device enables the
connection of up to 24 functional push buttons using stand-
ard 4000 Series vandal resistant line extension module panels
Art.VR4KBM-4, Art.VR4KBM-5, Art.VR4KBM-6, Art.VR4KBM-7,
Art.VR4KBM-8 or Art.VR4KBM-9.
The module built-in buttons, 1, 2 or 3 as factory presetting are
set as 1st ID PHONE or 1st and 2nd or 1st, 2nd and 3rd of the
addresses group (“1..24” or “25..48”) programmed. All the mod-
ules must be assembled using the 4000 Series ush or surface
mounting units.

PROGRAMMING
The programming enables the unit to be programmed as a
MASTER or SLAVE (When more units are connected to the same
bus only one must be master while the others must be slave),
the button matrix address group to be programmed (1-24, 25-
48, 49-72 or 73-96), the “CONVERSATION TIME” (1 or 2 minutes),
the “RELAY TIME” (1 or 6 seconds), the UNIT ID (1..8 Each door
should have a unique ID) that is used for selective camera recall
and to show on the concierge (if installed in the system) display
the ID of the door panel that is calling.
The programming is carried out through the 8 dip-switch bank on
the back of the module (please note that any changes to the pro-
gramming requires to power o then power on again the module).

Switches 2 & 3 dene the range of Phone IDs generated by the unit when
the call buttons are pressed. For example with dip-switch 2 and 3 both
OFF, the push button connected between the VX2203 terminals “1” and
“a” generates the ID PHONE 1 while the same push button, with dip-
switch 2 ON and dip- switch 3 OFF, will generate the PHONE ID 65.

PROGRAMMING NOTES
In case of a wrong Master/Slave conguration, the following problems can occur:
a. if the unit should be a Master but is congured as a Slave, the error is signalled by an acoustic intermittent signal until the problem
is resolved;
b.if the unit must be Slave but is congured as Master, the impedance of the system will have a lack of balance, causing feedback
(“Larsen” eect).
When a system uses a concierge unit Art.VX2210-1 the push button combined to the Phone ID 1 is reserved to call the concierge
in day or night mode.
OPERATION
When a call button is pressed, the Art.VR4KAM2W unit will generate the CODED address corresponding to the button (i.e. the button
connected between Aand 1corresponds to ID PHONE 1 or 25 according to the address group programmed“1..23” or “25..47”). The code
must correspond to the PHONE ID (address programmed on the 8 way dip-switch inside each telephone) of the telephone being called.
TO CALL A USER
Press the relevant button to call the user:
• 5 quick beeps indicates that the system is busy;
• A slow intermittent acoustic signal indicates that the call is in progress: the call will stop if answered or if the conversation time
(programmable) expires or if the call is cancelled by another call;
• The call being answered is indicated by the yellow LED switching on and a short intermittent acoustic signal plus the green LED
switching on indicates that the door is open.
• If a wrong push button is pressed or if there is no answer, a new call (pressing for approx. 2 seconds) will erase the previous one.

DESCRIZIONE
L’Art.VR4KAM2W è un’unità di chiamata digitale su BUS “2 li”
che permette la connessione di pulsanti tradizionali al sistema
digitale VX2200.
L’unità è alloggiata in un modulo Serie 4000 linea anti-vandalo e
la sua elettronica si compone dell’interfaccia analogico-digitale
e del portiere elettrico con 0, 1, 2 o 3 pulsanti in base al modello.
L’interfaccia permette il collegamento di 24 pulsanti tradiziona-
li impiegando i moduli di chiamata standard Serie 4000 linea
anti-vandalo Art. VR4KBM-4, Art. VR4KBM-5, Art. VR4KBM-6,
Art.VR4KBM-7, Art.VR4KBM-8 o Art.VR4KBM-9.
Di fabbrica, i pulsanti compresi nel modulo 1, 2 o 3, sono con-
gurati rispettivamente come 1o ID Citofono, come 1o e 2o o
come 1o, 2o e 3o ID del gruppo (1..24 o 25..48) di indirizzi pro-
grammato. I moduli vanno assemblati utilizzando le scatole da
incasso o supercie della Serie 4000.

PROGRAMMAZIONE
La programmazione permette di impostare l’unità come MASTER o
SLAVE (per tutte le unità sullo stesso livello può essere presente un solo
master), di congurare il gruppo di indirizzi generato dalla matrice dei
pulsanti (1-24, 25-48, 49-72 o 73-96), il “TEMPO DI CONVERSAZIONE”
(1 o 2 minuti) che determina la durata massima della conversazione,
il“TEMPO RELÈ”(1o 6 secondi) che stabilisce la durata dell’attivazione
del relè e l’ID DI UNITA’ (1..8) che è necessario per l’auto-accensione
selettiva e per visualizzare sul display del centralino (se presente nel
sistema) da quale ingresso proviene la chiamata. La programmazio-
ne dell’unità viene eettuata utilizzando tramite il dip-switch ad 8 vie
presente sul retro del modulo (modiche alla programmazione richie-
dono di togliere a ridare alimentazione al modulo) .

Questa programmazione stabilisce l’intervallo degli “Identi-
cativi Citofono” generati dalla pressione dei pulsanti collegati
all’unità. Ad esempio con i dip- switch 2 e 3 entrambi ad OFF,
il pulsante collegato tra i morsetti “1” e “a” è abbinato all’ID
PHONE 1 mentre impostando i dip-switch 2 e 3 rispettivamente
ad ON ed OFF, lo stesso pulsante sarà abbinato all’PHONE ID 65.

NOTE DI PROGRAMMAZIONE
Nel caso di una errata congurazione Master/Slave, si possono vericare i seguenti inconvenienti:
a. se l’unità deve essere Master, ma viene congurata come Slave, viene segnalato l’errore con un segnale acustico intermittente no
alla risoluzione del problema;
b.se l’unità deve essere Slave, ma viene congurata come Master, si avrà uno squilibrio dell’impedenza dell’impianto che si potreb-
be manifestare attraverso dei rumori (eetto“Larsen”); i rumori spariranno alla risoluzione del problema.
Se nel sistema è presente il centralino digitale, il pulsante al quale è associato l’ID citofono 1 è riservato alla sua chiamata.
FUNZIONAMENTO
L’Art.VR4KAM2W genera, alla pressione di un pulsante di chiamata, un codice indirizzo corrispondente al collegamento del pulsan-
te (il pulsante collegato tra “A” ed “1” corrisponde all’ID CITOFONO 1 o 25 in accordo al gruppo di chiamate programmate “1..23” o
“25..47”). Tale codice deve corrispondere all’ID CITOFONO (l’indirizzo programmato sul dip-switch ad 8 vie interno alle periferiche)
del citofono o videocitofono che si desidera chiamare.
PER CHIAMARE UN UTENTE
Premere il pulsante relativo all’utente che si desidera chiamare:
• 5 beep rapidi segnalano che il sistema è occupato;
• Un segnale acustico a lenta intermittenza segnala che la chiamata è in corso: la chiamata si interrompe alla risposta dell’utente o
allo scadere del tempo di conversazione (programmabile) in caso di mancata risposta o a seguito di una nuova chiamata;
• La risposta dell’utente è indicata dall’accensione del LED giallo, mentre un segnale acustico e l’accensione del LED verde indicano
segnalano l’apertura della porta;
• In caso di pressione del pulsante di chiamata sbagliato, una nuova pressione prolungata (circa 2s) di un secondo pulsante cancella
la precedente chiamata e ne eettua una nuova.

DISPOSAL
In accordance with the Legislative Decree no. 49 of 14 March 2014 “Implementation of the Directive 2012/19/EU on waste
electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)”.
The crossed-out bin symbol on the equipment or on the packaging indicates that when the product reaches the end of
its lifetime, it must be collected separately from mixed municipal waste. The user must, therefore, dispose of the equip-
ment at the end of its lifetime in the suitable waste collection centres or bring it to the retailer during the purchase of a
new equipment of equivalent type at the ratio of one-to-one. Furthermore, the user is allowed to dispose of the WEEEs
of very small size (domestic appliances without any external dimension exceeding 25 cm (9.84 inches) for free to the
retailers, without any purchase obligation. The correct waste disposal of the WEEEs contributes to their reuse, recycling
and recovery and avoids potential negative eects on the environment and human health due to the possible presence
of dangerous substances within them.
SMALTIMENTO
Ai sensi del Decreto Legislativo 14 marzo 2014, n° 49 “Attuazione della direttiva 2012/19/UE sui riuti di apparecchiature
elettriche ed elettroniche (RAEE)”.
Il simbolo del cassonetto barrato riportato sull’apparecchiatura o sulla sua confezione indica che il prodotto alla ne della
propria vita utile deve essere raccolto separatamente dagli altri riuti urbani misti. L’utente dovrà, pertanto, conferire l’appa-
recchiatura giunta a ne vita presso gli idonei centri di raccolta dierenziata oppure riconsegnarla al rivenditore al momento
dell’acquisto di una nuova apparecchiatura di tipo equivalente, in ragione di uno a uno. L’utente ha, inoltre, la possibilità di
conferire gratuitamente presso i distributori, senza alcun obbligo di acquisto, per i RAEE di piccolissime dimensioni (per le
apparecchiature di tipo domestico con nessuna dimensione esterna superiore a 25 cm).
L’adeguata raccolta dierenziata dei RAEE contribuisce al loro riutilizzo, riciclaggio e recupero ed evita potenziali eetti nega-
tivi sull’ambiente e sulla salute umana dovuti alla eventuale presenza di sostanze pericolose al loro interno.
ÉLIMINATION
Conformément au décret législatif n ° 49 du 14 mars 2014 relatif à l’«Application de la directive 2012/19 / UE relative aux
déchets d’équipements électriques et électroniques (DEEE)».
Le symbole de la poubelle barrée sur l’équipement ou sur son emballage indique que le produit en n de vie utile doit être
collecté séparément des autres déchets municipaux en mélange. L’utilisateur doit donc remettre l’équipement en n de
vie aux centres de collecte appropriés ou le restituer au revendeur lors de l’achat d’un nouveau type d’équipement équi-
valent, dans le rapport de un à un. De plus, l’utilisateur a la possibilité de conférer gratuitement aux distributeurs, sans au-
cune obligation d’achat, de très petits DEEE (pour les appareils ménagers sans dimensions extérieures supérieures à 25 cm).
La collecte séparée adéquate des DEEE contribue à leur réutilisation, leur recyclage et leur valorisation et évite les éventuels
eets négatifs sur l’environnement et la santé humaine en raison de la présence possible de substances dangereuses dans
ceux-ci.
ELIMINACIÓN
De conformidad con el Decreto legislativo n. 49 de 14 de marzo 2014 “Aplicación de la Directiva 2012/19/UE relativa a resi-
duos de aparatos eléctricos y electrónicos (RAEE)”.
El símbolo del contenedor tachado indicado sobre los aparatos o sobre los embalajes señala que el producto al nal de su
vida útil debe ser recogido separadamente de otros residuos municipales mezclados. Por tanto, el usuario deberà conferir los
aparatos al nal de su vida útil en los apropriados centros de recogida selectiva o devolverlos al revendedor al momento de
la compra de nuevos aparatos equivalentes, en una relación de uno a uno. Además, el usuario tiene la posibilidad de entre-
gar sin cargo a los distribuidores, sin ninguna obligación de compra, los RAEEs muy pequeños (para electrodomésticos sin
dimensiones externas superiores a 25 cm).
La recogida selectiva apropriada de los RAEEs contribuye a su reutilización, reciclaje y valorización y evita potenciales impactos
negativos sobre el medio ambiente y la salud humana debidos a la possible presencia de substancias peligrosas dentro de ellos.
ELIMINAÇÃO

aos resíduos de equipamentos elétricos e eletrónicos (REEE)”.

In overeenstemming met het Wetsbesluit nr. 49 van 14 maart 2015 “Implementatie van de Richtlijn 2012/19/EU
inzake afgedankte elektrische en elektronische apparaten (AEEA)”.
Het doorgekruiste vuilnisbaksymbool op het apparaat of de verpakking geeft aan dat het product aan het einde van
zijn levensduur niet samen met het gewone huisvuil weggegooid mag worden. De gebruiker moet het apparaat aan
het einde van zijn levensduur inleveren bij een gepast inzamelpunt of de winkel waar hij een nieuw apparaat van
een gelijksoortig type zal kopen. De gebruiker kan tevens AEEA’s van een zeer klein formaat (huishoudapparaten
met een buitenafmeting kleiner dan 25 cm (9,84 inch) gratis en zonder enige aankoopverplichting bij handelaars
inleveren. Een juiste verwijdering van AEEA’s draagt bij tot hergebruik, recycling en terugwinning, en voorkomt
potentiële negatieve effecten op het milieu en de menselijke gezondheid door de mogelijke aanwezigheid van
gevaarlijke stoffen.
