Precautions
Location
Using the unit in the following locations can result in a malfunction:
• In direct sunlight
• Locations of extreme temperature or humidity

Power supply
Please connect the designated AC adapter to an AC outlet of the correct
voltage. Do not connect it to an AC outlet of voltage other than that for
which your unit is intended.
Interference with other electrical devices
Radios and televisions placed nearby may experience reception interfer-
ence. Operate this unit at a suitable distance from radios and televisions.
Handling
To avoid breakage, do not apply excessive force to the switches or controls.
Care
If the exterior becomes dirty, wipe it with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use
liquid cleaners such as benzene or thinner, or cleaning compounds or
ammable polishes.

Keeping foreign matter out of your equipment
Never set any container with liquid in it near this equipment. If liquid gets
into the equipment, it could cause a breakdown, re, or electrical shock.
Be careful not to let metal objects get into the equipment. If something
does slip into the equipment, unplug the AC adapter from the wall outlet.
Then contact your nearest VOX dealer or the store where the equipment
was purchased.

Welcome aboard!
Thanks for choosing the VOX SOUNDBOX mini Mobile Multipurpose
Amplier. To ensure a long and trouble-free relationship with your new
amp, please read this manual carefully, use the amp as directed and
keep the manual for future reference.
We hope you enjoy your VOX SOUNDBOX mini!
Main features
• The SOUNDBOX mini utilizes VOX specic sound technology that
was developed for use in this multipurpose stereo amplier.
• Runs on six alkaline or nickel hydride AA baeries or with the in-
cluded AC adapter for easy use no maer where you are.
• In addition to four high-quality eects, the amplier features four
delay and reverb eects that simulate acoustic reverb.
• The TAP buon enables you to easily set the delay time in sync with
the tempo.
• The SOUNDBOX mini is equipped with a tuner function (for E only).
You can tune a musical instrument, such as a guitar, when it’s con-
nected to the GUITAR jack of the SOUNDBOX mini.
•
Inputs include an AUX IN jack, for connecting an external audio device
(CD, MP3 player, etc.), and a MIC jack, where you can connect a mi-
crophone. You can play along with recorded music or accompany your
vocals on guitar. You can also adjust the send level from the MIC jack
to the Delay /Reverb eects by using the dedicated FX2 SEND knob.
• By using the Center Cancel function, you can easily obtain a “minus
one” sound to audio being sent to the AUX In jack on the Soundbox
mini. This function aenuates vocals or solos that are panned in the
center of a mix, allowing you to perform over that section in a manner
similar to karaoke.
• The SOUNDBOX mini features the VOX Bassilator technology en-
abling you to create a solid Bass tone.

Installing Batteries
Remove the baery compartment cover that is located on the back of the
unit (page 7). Insert six AA-size alkaline baeries or six NiMH baeries,
observing the correct polarity orientation, as shown in the gure below.
NOTE: Baeries are not included. You will need to purchase them sepa-
rately.
NOTE: Be sure to install baeries in the correct orientation.
NOTE: Do not use dierent type baeries or baeries with dierent
power consumption levels together.
Replacing the Batteries
Replace the baeries when the power LED becomes dim.
NOTE: If the baery level becomes low, noise may be generated.
NOTE: Depleted baeries must be removed from the SOUNDBOX mini
immediately. If you leave them in, malfunctions such as baery
leakage may occur. You should also remove the baeries if you’re
not going to be using the SOUNDBOX mini for an extended pe-
riod of time.
• Features a wide function to realize spacious sound thanks to *Acoustage
technology.
*Acoustage (Virtual Surround Technology by KORG)
Korg's original and revolutionary Virtual Surround Technology allows a unique personal
acoustic space to be created. Using only a pair of stereo speakers positioned in front of
the listener, Acoustage creates unprecedented and unique spatial acoustic experiences.
Furthermore, the maximum eect is delivered because very accurate acoustic measurement
ensures optimization for each playback system.
Setup
This section describes the basic setup of your amplier.
NOTE: This manual also describes safety precautions and functions. Be
sure to read the entire manual.
1. Set the VOLUME knob and TRIM knob to the minimum level.
2. Install baeries in the amplier. Alternatively, you can connect the
included AC adapter to the DC12V jack on the rear panel, then plug
the adapter into an AC outlet.
3. Plug the cable that’s connected to your musical instrument or audio
device into the input jack on the top panel of the SOUNDBOX mini.
If you also plan to use an external audio device (CD, MP3 player,
etc.), or a microphone, connect the player to the AUX IN jack, or the
microphone to the MIC jack on the top panel.
4. Press and hold down the power buon until the power LED lights up
and the power turns on.
NOTE: When turning o the power, press and hold down the power
buon until the power LED turns o.
5. Slowly raise the VOLUME Knob to the desired level.
When using a microphone, you can adjust its volume with the TRIM
Knob.

AMP section
This section enables you to adjust various amplier seings.
5. INST (instrument) selector
Select the type of musical instrument or device that’s connected to
the input jack.
BASS: Bass guitar
1: This is a hi- sound that’s suitable for slapping.
2:
This is a vintage-amplier-like sound that’s suitable for nger picking.
GTR: Electric guitar
1: This is a tight and clean sound containing a deep low-pitched sound.
2: This is a crunch sound, delivering a rened top end.
3: This is a distortion sound that’s suitable for playing leads.
4: This is a high-gain that’s powerful and heavy.
ACO: Acoustic guitar
1: This is a sound that’s suitable for strumming.
2: This is a sound that’s suitable for playing single notes.
KBD: Keyboard
1: This is a sound with compression that’s suitable for percussive
playing.
2: This is a sound with rich midrange that’s suitable for an electric
piano.
3: This is a at sound that’s also suitable for an external audio device
or Mp3 player.
6. LOW/GAIN Knob
When having selected BASS or GTR with the INST selector, you can
adjust the pre amp gain (GAIN). When having selected another, you
can adjust the lower volume (LOW).

Input Section
1. Input jacks
Here is where you will connect the output of a musical instrument,
such as a guitar, or an audio device. For monophonic sounds, use the
GUITAR (L/MONO) jack.
NOTE: The R jack is available only when you have selected KBD with
the INST selector.
2. MIC jack
Connect a microphone here.
3. TRIM knob
This knob enables you to adjust the volume level of the microphone
input.
4. FX2 SEND Knob
This knob enables you to adjust the volume level to be sent from the
microphone input to eect 2 (delay/reverb eect).

When you hold down the TAP switch for one second or more, all
eects will be bypassed, and the tuner function will turn on. For
details, refer to the “Using the Tuner” (page 8).
AUX IN/PHONES Section
12. PHONES jack
Use this jack if you’re plugging directly in to a mixer, recording
device, or if you’re using headphones. The output signal from this
jack is taken before the power amp.
NOTE: Connecting headphones to this jack will mute the internal
speaker.
NOTE: Be sure to use a stereo cable (TRS) for connections using the
PHONES jack.
13. AUX IN jack
This is where an external audio device such as a CD or Mp3 player
is connected. This enables you to conveniently connect an audio
player and play your guitar along with the player’s output. To adjust
the volume, use the controls of the connected device.
14. WIDE/CENTER CANCEL buon, LED
Press the buon to turn the wide function ON (red LED lights). You
can now enjoy spacious sound with Acoustage technology. Press the
buon again to turn the function OFF (LED extinguishes).
Pressing the buon longer than 1 second causes the center cancel
function to go ON (green LED lights). Press the buon again to turn
the function OFF.
When you turn it on, sounds in the center of the mix (vocals or solos)
of the stereo music source from the AUX IN will be turned down.
This function is useful when you want to practice vocals or guitar
in a “minus one” environment.
NOTE: Simultaneous use of the wide function and center cancel func-
tion is not possible.
7. HIGH/TONE Knob
When having selected BASS or GTR with the INST selector, you can
adjust the tone (TONE). When having selected another, you can adjust
the higher volume (HIGH).
8. VOLUME Knob
This knob enables you to adjust the Amp Section volume.
EFFECTS section
This is where you can adjust the seings for the eects.
For additional details on each eect, refer to the “Eects” (page 8).
9. FX1 knob
This knob enables you to choose the compressor/modulation eect
and set the intensity of the eect.
To bypass the eect, rotate the knob all the way to the le.
10. FX2 knob
This knob enables you to choose the delay/reverb eect and set the
intensity of the eect that’s applied to the input sound from the input
jacks. To bypass the eects, rotate the knob all the way to the le.
To apply the eect that’s selected here to the microphone input, use
the FX2 SEND Knob in input Section to set the intensity of the ef-
fect. When you set the knob to the lemost position of each type,
the delay/reverb eect that are applied to the input sound from the
input jack will be turned o.

TAP buon , LED
This buon enables you to set the time of the Delay and Reverb ef-
fects. Tap this buon twice to set the time. The duration between
two taps will be used as the time value. The LED will ash in sync
with the time.
HINT: To set the time to exactly match the tempo of a song, press
the TAP buon several times along with the song.

NOTE: The wide function has no eect on output from the PHONES
jack.
NOTE: If the center cancel function is turned on, the sound input from
AUX IN is played back in monophonic sound.
15. Power LED
This is lit while the power is on.
Rear Panel
1. Power buon
Pressing and holding down this buon enables you to turn the power
on or o.
The power LED on the top panel will light up when the power is
turned on.
2. DC 12V jack
Connect this jack to the included AC adapter.
NOTE: The AC adapter should only be used with the main unit. Do not
use the adapter with other devices since doing so may cause a
malfunction.

Auto Power Off Function
The VOX SOUNDBOX mini is equipped with an Auto Power O func-
tion. The Auto Power O function automatically turns the power o
when there has been no user input for about 1 hour.
When the power is turned o, it’s not restored even when a knob or
selector is used. You’ll have to turn on the power again.
NOTE: The Auto Power O function will turn on if the input volume is
too set to a minimal level.
NOTE: The Auto Power O function is set to on as the factory default.
Setting the Auto Power Off function to enable or disable
1. Press and hold down the TAP buon and turn on the
power.
2. The TAP LED will indicate the current seing.
3. Press the TAP buon to switch between the enable and
disable seing.
4. Wait a few seconds without using any of the buons or controls. The
unit will automatically switch to normal operation.
NOTE: The enable/disable seing of the Auto Power O function will
be retained even when the power is turned o.
NOTE: If you change a seing for the Auto Power O function, the time
seing of the delay/reverb eect will be reset to the factory de-
fault.

Using the Tuner
The tuner function lets you tune a musical instrument, such as a guitar
that’s connected to the input jack. The tuner detects the pitch of the input
sound, then indicates the discrepancy from the standard pitch of E. The
following instructions explain how to tune a guitar as an example.
1. Press and hold down the TAP buon for more than one second.
All eects will be bypassed, and the tuner function will turn on.
All effects are bypassed.
(No valid signal is being input.)
2. Play the open 6th string.
NOTE: Be careful not to touch any other strings.
3. Tune the guitar so that only the center green LED indicator lights up,
as shown in the illustration below.
HINT: The SOUNDBOX mini recogniz-
es the pitch of E in any octave.
This is useful if you want to tune
to harmonics or tune other musi-
cal instruments, such as a bass
guitar.
4. To exit the tuner function, press the
TAP buon. The eect bypass will be
canceled.
HINT: Once you tune the 6th string using
the tuner function, tune the other
strings in reference to the 6th string.

Effects
This section describes characteristics of each eect.
FX1 Knob: Compressor/Modulation
COMP
This models a compressor that features a clean, percussive, and mellow
sustain. Suitable for pop or funk rhythms.
Use the knob to adjust the amount of sustain.
CHORUS
This models a standard analog chorus that adds a rich spaciousness
to the sound.
Use the knob to adjust the modulation speed.
FLANGE
This models an analog anger that creates a sound with a peculiar
swooshing eect like a jet engine.
Use the knob to adjust the modulation speed.
TREM
This models a typical tremolo built into a standard U.S. combo amp that
changes the volume up and down cyclically.
Use the knob to adjust the tremolo speed.

FX2 Knob: Delay/Reverb
A.DLY
This models an analog delay that uses a bucket brigade device (BBD).
The sound quality is low delity, but its warm sound is popular among
musicians.
Use the knob to adjust the mix amount of the delay sound.
Use the TAP buon to set the delay time. The maximum delay time is
1.2 seconds.
ECHO
This models a popular analog tape echo.
Tape echo was originally created by using a playback head, and the
delay time was adjusted by modifying the motor speed.
The knob and buon functionality are the same as the A.DLY model.
SPRING
This models a spring reverb inside a guitar amp.
Use the knob to adjust the mix amount of the reverb sound.
Use the TAP buon to set the reverb time.
HALL
This models reverberations in a concert hall containing many echoes.
The knob and buon functionality are the same as the SPRING model.
Troubleshooting
The power does not turn on even when the power button is pressed
and held down.
• Have you installed baeries? Are the baeries correctly oriented?
Or, is the AC adapter cord connected to the rear panel of the amp
correctly?
• Is the AC adapter plugged into an AC outlet?
• Is the AC outlet switched on and working?
• Is the AC adapter damaged?
There’s no sound coming from the amp
• Is your musical instrument turned up?
• Make sure that the musical instrument is connected properly.
• Is the connected cable working?
• Is the top panel VOLUME knob turned up?
• Do you have headphones or anything else plugged into the amp’s top
panel PHONES jack? If “yes,” unplug them.
The amp doesn’t seem very loud
• Is your musical instrument turned up?
• Is the top panel VOLUME knob turned down low?
• Are the baeries depleted?
There’s no sound heard from the PHONES jack when you use it.
• Check that the top panel VOLUME knob isn’t turned all the way down.
• Make sure sound is coming from the amp.
You’ll need to unplug your headphones or the cable from the PHONES
jack to do this, since plugging something into this jack automatically
mutes the amp’s speakers. If there’s still no sound from the amp, go to
the “There’s no sound coming from the amp” section. If you do hear
sound, check the headphones or cable you are hooking up to this jack.

The effects cannot be applied to the sound.
• Is the tuner function turned on?
If the tuner function is turned on, the eects will be bypassed. Press
the TAP buon to cancel the bypass.
• Are the FX1 and FX2 knobs set to OFF or to a lower value?
Adjust the FX1 and FX2 knobs.
• If the eects cannot be applied to the MIC signal, the FX2 SEND knob
might be set to a lower value.
Adjust the FX2 SEND knob.
The sound of a device that’s connected to the AUX IN jack is not
being output.
• Make sure that the external device is connected properly.
• The volume control on the external device might be set too low.
The sound from a microphone that’s connected to the MIC jack is
not being output.
• Make sure that the microphone is connected properly.
• The microphone switch could be set to o.
• The TRIM knob could be set too low.

Use of the Microphone Stand
You can screw a standard market-sold microphone stand into the 3/8-
inch microphone stand screw-hole on the boom of this unit to adjust
to the ideal height for use as a monitor.
Usage Conditions
Make sure that you fully understand the following information to ensure
that you use this product correctly.
• Use the microphone stand at a height of 120 cm (approximately 3.94 )
or lower (see illustration). If you use the stand at any greater height,
the system may tip over and cause injury or damage.
• Open the tripod legs at least 63 cm (approximately 2.07 ) apart (see
illustration). If the legs are any closer together, the system may tip
over and cause injury or damage.
• Do not use the microphone stand in an unstable location or on a slope.
If you use the stand on an unstable location, it may tip over and cause
injury or damage.
• Carefully route the cables that are connected to the SOUNDBOX mini
to keep them out of the way. If someone trips over a cable, the system
may tip over and cause injury or damage.
• Do not place anything on the SOUNDBOX mini that is mounted on
the speaker stand. The object may fall down, or the stand may tip over
and cause injury or damage.
• Do not install in a way that the center of gravity is tilted, such as using
a boom, etc.
The stand may tip over and cause injury or damage.
When using while attached to a microphone stand,
pay attention to the following matters.
• Be careful not to pinch your ngers.
• Do not tilt the stand with the SOUNDBOX mini mounted on it.
• Never change the height of the stand while the SOUNDBOX mini is
mounted on it.
• Make sure that the height from the oor to the boom of the SOUND-
BOX mini (see illustration) is 120 cm (approximately 3.94  ) or less.
• Do not use when aached to a stand in a location where there is heavy
vibration or strong wind.

• Outre quatre eets de haute qualité, l’amplicateur propose quatre délais et
réverbérations recréant la réverbération naturelle de divers environnements
acoustiques.
• Le bouton TAP permet de synchroniser le temps de retard avec le tempo.
• Le SOUNDBOX mini est doté d’une fonction accordeur (pour Mi uniquement).
Cee fonction vous permet d’accorder un instrument de musique -comme une
guitare, par exemple- branché à la prise GUITAR du mini amplicateur.
• La section d’entrée propose, entre autres, une prise AUX IN pour une source
audio externe (lecteur CD, MP3 etc.) et une prise MIC pouvant accueillir un
microphone. Ainsi, vous pouvez vous faire accompagner par votre musique
favorite ou chanter tout en jouant de la guitare. Vous pouvez également régler
le niveau de départ du signal MIC aux eets Delay/Reverb avec la commande
dédiée FX2 SEND.
• La fonction Center Cancel permet de produire facilement une version „minus
one“ du signal audio transmis à la prise AUX In du SOUNDBOX mini. Qui dit
„minus one“, dit aénuation du signal du ant ou des solos de guitare situés
au centre dans le mix: à vous de jouer ou de anter donc, un peu comme au
karaoké!

5. Réglez le volume avec la commande VOLUME.
Quand vous utilisez un microphone, vous pouvez régler son volume avec
la commande TRIM.
Installation des piles
Retirez le couvercle du compartiment à piles situé au dos de l’appareil (page 17).
Insérez six piles alcalines de type AA ou NiMH, en veillant à respecter les in-
dications de polarité comme illustré ci-dessous.
REMARQUE: Les piles ne sont pas fournies. Il faut donc les acquérir séparément.
REMARQUE: Veillez à orienter correctement les piles.
REMARQUE: Ne mélangez pas des piles de types diérents ni de consomma-
tions diérentes.
Remplacement des piles
Remplacez les piles quand la luminosité du diode d’alimentation faiblit.
REMARQUE: L’ampli peut générer du bruit lorsque la tension des piles baisse.
REMARQUE: Ne tardez jamais à retirer des piles usées du SOUNDBOX mini.
Elles pourraient en eet se mere à couler et ainsi endommager
l’unité. Retirez également les piles si vous n’avez pas l’intention
d’utiliser le SOUNDBOX mini pendant un période prolongée.
• Le SOUNDBOX mini incorpore aussi la tenologie VOX Bassilator, qui, com-
me son nom l‘indique, permet de produire un son de basse bien costaud.
• Incorpore une fonction Wide générant une image sonore riche et profonde
grâce à la *technologie Acoustage.
*Technologie Acoustage (Surround virtuel signé KORG)
La technologie de Surround virtuel de Korg désigne un outil sonore tant original que révolution-
naire, qui permet de créer un environnement acoustique unique et taillé sur mesure. Moyennant une
simple paire d’enceintes stéréo placées en face de l’utilisateur, l’outil Acoustage produit des décors
sonores uniques et inédits.
Grâce à ses mesures acoustiques ultra-précises, cee technologie permet d’obtenir des résultats op-
timaux pour chaque système de lecture.
Préparation
Cee section décrit une installation de base exploitant l’amplicateur.
REMARQUE: Ce manuel indique également les précautions à prendre et donne
des conseils de sécurité. Veillez à lire entièrement ce manuel.
1. Réglez la commande VOLUME et la commande TRIM au niveau minimum.
2. Installez les piles dans l’amplicateur. Alternativement, vous pouvez relier
l’adaptateur secteur fourni à la prise DC12V en face arrière et l’autre extrémité
à une prise de courant.
3. Branchez le câble connecté à votre instrument ou dispositif audio à la prise
d’entrée en face avant du SOUNDBOX mini. Si vous comptez utiliser un
lecteur audio externe (lecteur CD, MP3, etc.), branchez-le à la prise AUX IN
en face avant. Dans le cas d’un micro, branchez-le à la prise MIC, toujours en
face avant.
4. Maintenez l’interrupteur d’alimentation enfoncé jusqu’à ce que la diode d’ali-
mentation s’éteigne et que l’ampli soit sous tension.
REMARQUE: Pour mere l’ampli hors tension, maintenez son interrupteur
d’alimentation enfoncé jusqu’à ce que la diode d’alimentation
s’éteigne.

Section AMP
Cee section permet d’eectuer divers réglages liés à l’amplicateur.
5. Sélecteur INST (instrument)
Sélectionne le type d’instrument ou dispositif connecté à la prise d’entrée.
BASS: guitare basse
1: Son hi- adapté au slap.
2: Son rappelant les amplicateurs vintage et adapté au jeu aux doigts (ou
“pincé”).
GTR: guitare électrique
1: Son clair et riche aux graves profonds.
2: Son ‘crunch’ produisant des aigus polis.
3: Son saturé adapté au jeu en solo.
4: Son ‘high-gain’ pour des ris puissants et lourds à souhait.
ACO: guitare acoustique
1: Son adapté au jeu en graé.
2: Son adapté au jeu ‘notes à notes’.
KBD: clavier
1: Son avec compression adapté au jeu de percussion.
2: Son riche en médiums adapté au piano électrique.
3: Son de réponse uniforme adapté à un dispositif audio ou lecteur MP3
externe.
6. Commande LOW/GAIN
Quand BASS ou GTR a été choisi avec le sélecteur INST, vous pouvez régler
le gain du préamplicateur (GAIN). Pour les autres positions du sélecteur,
vous pouvez régler le niveau des graves (LOW).
7. Commande HIGH/TONE
Quand BASS ou GTR a été choisi avec le sélecteur INST, vous pouvez régler
le timbre (TONE). Pour les autres positions du sélecteur, vous pouvez régler
le niveau des aigus (HIGH).

Section d’entrée
1. Prises d’entrée
C’est ici que vous branchez la sortie d’un instrument de musique comme une
guitare ou d’un dispositif de lecture audio. Dans le cas d’une source mono-
phonique, eectuez la connexion à la prise GUITAR (L/MONO).
REMARQUE: La prise R est uniquement disponible si vous avez sélectionné
KBD avec le sélecteur INST.
2. Prise MIC
Vous pouvez brancher un micro à cee prise.
3. Commande TRIM
Cee commande règle le niveau d’entrée du micro.
4. Commande FX2 SEND
Cee commande règle le niveau du signal reçu à l’entrée microphone et trans-
mis à l’eet 2 (délai/réverbération).

Section alimentation/AUX IN/PHONES
12. Prise PHONES
Cee prise permet de relier directement l’ampli à l’entrée d’une console,
d’un enregistreur, etc. Vous pouvez aussi y brancher un casque d’écoute.
Le signal de sortie de cee prise correspond au signal avant l’amplicateur
de puissance.
REMARQUE: La connexion d’un casque à cee prise désactive le haut-
parleur interne.
REMARQUE: Veillez à établir une connexion stéréo à la prise PHONES.
13. Prise AUX IN
Cee prise permet de relier un dispositif audio externe tel qu’un lecteur
CD ou MP3. Cela vous permet de brancher un lecteur audio et de jouer de
la guitare sur vos plages préférées. Réglez le volume avec les commandes
du dispositif connecté.
14. Bouton et diode WIDE/CENTER CANCEL
Appuyez sur ce bouton pour activer la fonction Wide (la diode rouge s’al-
lume). Cee fonction produit un superbe son spacieux grâce à la technologie
Acoustage. Appuyez à nouveau sur ce bouton pour désactiver la fonction
(la diode s’éteint).
Appuyez sur ce bouton pendant plus d’une seconde pour activer la fonction
Center Cancel (la diode verte s’allume). Une nouvelle pression sur ce bouton
désactive la fonction.
Quand Center Cancel est active, les sons (chant ou solos) au centre d’un mix
stéréo transmis via la prise AUX IN sont aénués.
Cee fonction vous sera très utile pour travailler un solo ou répéter des par-
ties de chant tout en écoutant l’original (moins un ou ‘minus one’ en anglais,
c.-à-d. en aénuant le son de la partie à travailler dans la plage originale).
REMARQUE: Vous ne pouvez pas utiliser simultanément les fonctions Wide
et Center Cancel.
REMARQUE: La fonction Wide n’a aucune inuence sur le signal transmis
à la prise PHONES.
8. Commande VOLUME
Cee commande règle le volume de la section Amp.
Section des effets
Cee section permet de régler les eets.
Pour en savoir plus sur les eets, voyez la section “Eets” à la page 18.
9. Commande FX1
Cee commande permet de sélectionner le type de compresseur/d’eet de
modulation et de régler l’intensité de l’eet.
Pour contourner les eets, tournez la commande à bout de course vers la
gauche.
10. Commande FX2
Cee commande permet de choisir l’eet de délai/réverbération et de régler
l’intensité de l’eet appliqué au signal reçu à la prise INPUT. Pour contourner
les eets, tournez la commande à fond à gauche.
Pour appliquer l’eet sélectionné ici au signal du microphone, dénissez
l’intensité de l’eet en question avec la commande FX2 SEND de la section
INPUT. Quand la commande est tournée à fond à gauche (pour chaque
type), les eets de délai/réverbération appliqués au signal reçu à la prise
d’entrée sont désactivés.
11. Bouton et diode TAP
Ce bouton permet de régler le temps de retard de l’eet Delay et le temps
de réverbération de l’eet Reverb. Tapez deux fois sur ce bouton pour régler
la durée voulue. L’intervalle entre les deux frappes détermine le temps de
retard/réverbération. Le diode clignote selon le rythme sélectionné.
ASTUCE:
Pour que les eets adoptent le tempo du morceau, vous devez
appuyer plusieurs fois sur le bouton TAP en respectant la mesure .
Pour activer l’accordeur, maintenez le commutateur TAP enfoncé durant plus
d’une seconde. Tous les eets sont contournés. Pour en savoir davantage,
voyez la section “Utiliser l’accordeur” à la page 18.

REMARQUE: Quand la fonction Center Cancel est active, le signal d'entrée
de la prise AUX IN est reproduit en mono.
15. Diode d’alimentation
S’allume quand le dispositif est sous tension.
Face arrière
1. Bouton d’alimentation
Maintenez cet interrupteur enfoncé pour mere l’ampli sous tension et hors
tension.
La diode d’alimentation du panneau avant s’allume quand vous meez le
dispositif sous tension.
2. Prise DC 12V
Branchez ici l’adaptateur fourni.
REMARQUE: L’adaptateur secteur est uniquement destiné à alimenter cet
ampli. Ne l’utilisez jamais pour alimenter d’autres appareils
car cela pourrait causer un dysfonctionnement.

Fonction de coupure automatique
d’alimentation
L’ampli VOX SOUNDBOX mini comporte une fonction de coupure automatique
d’alimentation. Cee fonction coupe automatiquement l’alimentation de l’ampli
quand aucune manipulation n’est eectuée pendant environ 1 heure.
Une fois que l’alimentation a été coupée par cee fonction de coupure automa-
tique, manipuler une commande ou un sélecteur ne permet pas de remere
l’ampli sous tension. Vous devez donc mere à nouveau l’ampli sous tension.
REMARQUE:
La fonction Auto Power O est activée si le volume d’entrée
est réglé sur le minimum.
REMARQUE: La fonction de coupure automatique d’alimentation a été activée
à la sortie d’usine.
Réglage de la fonction de coupure automatique d’alimentation
1. Maintenez le bouton TAP enfoncé tout en meant l’ampli sous
tension.
2. La diode TAP indique le réglage actif.
3. Appuyez sur le bouton TAP pour activé et désactivé alternati-
vement la fonction de coupure automatique d’alimentation.
4. Aendez quelques secondes sans manipuler aucun bouton ni commande.
L’ampli passe alors en mode de fonctionnement normal.
REMARQUE: Le réglage de la fonction de coupure automatique d’alimentation
est mémorisé et conservé même quand vous meez l’ampli hors
tension.
REMARQUE: Quand vous changez le statut de la fonction de coupure automa-
tique d’alimentation, les réglages de temps de réverbération et de
variation de motif rythmique retrouvent leurs valeurs d’usine.

Utiliser l’accordeur
La fonction accordeur permet d’accorder un instrument de musique -comme
une guitare- branché à la prise d’entrée. L’accordeur détecte la hauteur du signal
d’entrée et indique la diérence de hauteur par rapport au Mi standard utilisé
pour l’accord. La section suivante décrit à titre d’exemple comment accorder
une guitare.
1. Maintenez le bouton TAP enfoncé plus d’une seconde.
Tous les eets sont contournés et l’accordeur est activé.
Tous les effets sont contournés.

2. Pincez la 6ème corde à vide.
REMARQUE: Veillez à ne pas toucher d’autres cordes.
3. Accordez votre guitare de sorte que seule la diode centrale verte s’allume,

Ce modèle simule un compresseur achant un sustain clair, déni et doux. Il
est idéal pour des rythmes pop ou funk.
Utilisez la commande pour régler le sustain.
CHORUS
Ce modèle de chorus analogique confère richesse et ampleur au son.
Utilisez la commande pour régler la vitesse de modulation.
FLANGE
Ce modèle de anger analogique crée un son ayant un eet particulier évoquant
le bruit d’un moteur à réaction.
Utilisez la commande pour régler la vitesse de modulation.
TREM
Ce modèle de trémolo typique intégré dans un ampli combo américain change
le volume de façon cyclique.
Utilisez la commande pour régler la vitesse du trémolo.

Commande FX2: Delay/réverbération
A.DLY
Modélisation d’un delay analogique utilisant un dispositif en cascade comme
circuit de retard. La qualité sonore est médiocre mais la chaleur du son est très
populaire auprès des musiciens.
Utilisez la commande pour régler le niveau du signal retardé dans le mixage.
Réglez le temps de retard avec le bouton TAP. La durée maximum du delay est
de 1,2 secondes.
ECHO
Modélisation d’un écho à bande analogique populaire.
A l’origine, l’écho était produit par la tête de lecture d’un enregistreur et le
temps de retard était réglé en modiant la vitesse du moteur. La fonction de la
commande et du bouton est la même que pour le modèle “A.DLY”.
SPRING
Cet eet modélise la réverbération à ressort de certains amplis de guitare.
Utilisez la commande pour régler le niveau du signal de réverbération dans
le mixage.
Réglez le temps de réverbération avec le bouton TAP.
HALL
Cet eet modélise la réverbération aux nombreux échos d’une salle de concerts.
Les fonctions des commandes et boutons sont identiques à celles du modèle
SPRING.
Dépannage
L’ampli ne se met pas sous tension même quand vous maintenez son
interrupteur d’alimentation enfoncé.
• Avez-vous installé des piles? La polarité est-elle correcte? Avez-vous branché
le cordon de l’adaptateur à la prise ad hoc en face arrière?
• L’adaptateur secteur est-il branché à une prise de courant?
• La prise de courant fonctionne-t-elle?
• Peut-être l’adaptateur est-il endommagé.
L’ampli ne produit aucun son
• Le volume de sortie de votre instrument de musique est-il susant?
• Vériez que votre instrument de musique est correctement connecté.
• Le câble de connexion utilisé est-il adapté et en bon état?
• La commande VOLUME en face avant est-elle sur un niveau susant?
• Avez-vous branché un casque ou un autre câble à la prise PHONES en face
arrière? Si c’est “oui”, débranchez-le!
L’ampli est à peine audible
• Le volume de sortie de votre instrument de musique est-il susant?
• La commande VOLUME en face avant n’est-elle pas sur un niveau trop bas?
• Les piles sont-elles plates?
Aucun signal n’est présent à la prise PHONES.
• Vériez que la commande VOLUME en face avant n’est pas réglée au mini-
mum.
• Assurez-vous que l’ampli reçoit bien un signal.
Il faut pour cela débrancher temporairement le casque ou le câble branché
à la prise PHONES. Sans cela, en eet, le hautparleur est désactivé. Si vous
n’entendez toujours rien, voyez “L’ampli ne produit aucun son”. En revanche,
si vous entendez quelque chose, vériez votre casque ou l’état du câble utilisé.

Les effets ne peuvent pas être appliqués au son.
• L’accordeur est-il activé?
Si l’accordeur est activé, les eets sont contournés. Appuyez sur le bouton
TAP pour annuler le contournement des eets.
• Les commandes FX1 et FX2 ne sont-elles pas sur OFF ou sur une valeur trop
basse?
Réglez les commandes FX1 et FX2.
• Si les eets ne peuvent pas être appliqués au signal MIC, la commande FX2
SEND a peut-être un réglage trop bas. Ajustez la commande FX2 SEND.
Le dispositif branché à la prise AUX IN est inaudible.
• Vériez si le dispositif est correctement branché.
• Le réglage de volume du dispositif externe est peut-être trop bas.
Le signal du micro branché à la prise MIC est inaudible.
• Vériez si le micro est correctement branché.
• Le commutateur du micro est peut-être coupé.
• La commande TRIM a peut-être un réglage trop bas.
