2 Sicherheitshinweise
2.1 Allgemeine Sicherheit
zSchließen Sie das Gerät nur mit dem Anschlusskabel an das Wechsel-
stromnetz an.
zZiehen Sie den Stecker nie am Anschlusskabel aus der Steckdose.
zWenn das Anschlusskabel beschädigt ist, müssen Sie es ersetzen, um
Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.
zWenn das Gerät sichtbare Beschädigungen aufweist, dürfen Sie es nicht
in Betrieb nehmen.

zReparaturen an diesem Gerät dürfen nur von Fachkräften durchgeführt
werden. Durch unsachgemäße Reparaturen können erhebliche Gefahren
entstehen.
Wenden Sie sich im Reparaturfall an den WAECO Kundendienst.
zZiehen Sie das Anschlusskabel
– vor jeder Reinigung und Pflege
– nach jedem Gebrauch
zAchten Sie darauf, dass die Lüftungsschlitze nicht abgedeckt werden.
zVergleichen Sie die Spannungsangabe auf dem Typenschild mit der vor-
handenen Energieversorgung.
zDas Kühlgerät ist nicht geeignet für den Transport ätzender oder lösungs-
mittelhaltiger Stoffe!
2.2 Sicherheit beim Betrieb des Gerätes
zAchten Sie vor der Inbetriebnahme darauf, dass Zuleitung und Stecker
trocken sind.
zStellen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von offenen Flammen oder ande-
ren Wärmequellen (Heizung, starke Sonneneinstrahlung, Gasöfen usw.)
ab.
zFüllen Sie keine Flüssigkeiten oder Eis in den Innenbehälter.
zTauchen Sie das Gerät nie in Wasser.
zSetzen Sie das Gerät niemals Regen oder Feuchtigkeit aus.
zSchützen Sie das Gerät und die Kabel vor Hitze und Nässe.
zFassen Sie nie mit bloßen Händen an blanke Leitungen. Dies gilt vor
allem beim Betrieb am Wechselstromnetz: Lebensgefahr!
zWAECO haftet nicht für Schäden, die durch nicht bestimmungs-
gemäßen Gebrauch oder falsche Bedienung verursacht werden.

4 Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Die Kühlbox eignet sich zum Kühlen und Tiefkühlen von Lebensmitteln. Das
Gerät ist auch für Camping-Zwecke geeignet.
Falls Sie Medikamente kühlen wollen, überprüfen Sie bitte, ob die Kühlleis-
tung des Gerätes den Anforderungen der jeweiligen Arzneimittel entspricht.
5 Technische Beschreibung
Die Kühlbox ist geeignet für den Einsatz z. B. beim Camping, auf der Terras-
se, im Garten oder an anderen Orten, an denen ein 220-240-V-Netzan-
schluss vorhanden ist. Das Gerät kann Waren abkühlen und kühl halten bzw.
tiefkühlen.
Die Kühlung erfolgt durch einen wartungsfreien, FCKW-freien Kühlkreislauf
mit Kompressor. Die extrastarke FCKW-freie Isolierung und der leistungs-
starke Kompressor gewährleisten eine besonders schnelle Kühlung.
Über einen Thermostat kann die gewünschte Temperatur stufenlos einge-
stellt werden.
Der Deckel verfügt über eine Rundumdichtung und einen Magnetverschluss.
6 Bedienung
Bevor Sie die neue Kühlbox in Betrieb nehmen, sollten Sie sie
aus hygienischen Gründen innen und außen mit einem feuchten
Tuch reinigen (siehe auch Kapitel „Reinigung und Pflege“ auf
Seite 9).

6.1 Tipps zum Energiesparen
zWählen Sie einen gut belüfteten und vor Sonnenstrahlen geschützten
Einsatzort.
zLassen Sie warme Speisen erst abkühlen, bevor Sie sie einlagern.
zÖffnen Sie die Kühlbox nicht häufiger als nötig!
zLassen Sie den Deckel nicht länger offen stehen als nötig!
6.2 Kühlbox benutzen
➤Stellen Sie die Kühlbox auf eine feste Unterlage.
➤Schließen Sie die Kühlbox mit dem Anschlusskabel an eine
220-240-V-AC-Steckdose an.
➤Öffnen Sie den Deckel des Bedienpanels (Abb. 2.1, Seite 3), indem Sie
darauf drücken.
Durch erneutes Drücken wird der Deckel wieder geschlossen.
➤Drehen Sie den Regler (Abb. 2.2, Seite 3) im Uhrzeigersinn in die ge-
wünschte Stellung.
Je weiter Sie den Regler in Richtung „MAX“ drehen, desto niedri-
ger wird die Kühltemperatur.
✓Die Kühlbox startet mit dem Kühlen des Innenraums.
Achten Sie darauf, dass sich nur Gegenstände bzw. Waren in der
Kühlbox befinden, die auf die gewählte Temperatur gekühlt wer-
den dürfen.
Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie Getränke oder Speisen in Glasbehäl-
tern nicht zu stark abkühlen. Beim Gefrieren dehnen sich
Getränke oder flüssige Speisen aus. Dadurch können die Glasbe-
hälter zerstört werden.

Kühlbox ausschalten
➤Wenn Sie die Kühlbox außer Betrieb nehmen, drehen Sie den Regler
(Abb. 2.2, Seite 3) gegen den Uhrzeigersinn auf „0“ und ziehen Sie das
Anschlusskabel ab.
Das Anschlusskabel können Sie zur Aufbewahrung auf die beiden
Halter an der Geräterückseite aufwickeln.
7 Reinigung und Pflege
Achtung!
Ziehen Sie vor jedem Reinigen der Kühlbox das Anschlusskabel
aus der Steckdose.
Achtung!
Reinigen Sie die Kühlbox niemals unter fließendem Wasser oder
gar im Spülwasser.
Achtung!
Verwenden Sie zur Reinigung keine scharfen Reinigungsmittel
oder harten Gegenstände, da diese die Kühlbox beschädigen
können.
➤Reinigen Sie die Kühlbox innen gelegentlich mit einem feuchten Tuch.
➤Reinigen Sie das Geräteäußere mit einem feuchten Tuch.
8 Gewährleistung
Es gelten unsere allgemeinen Garantiebedingungen. Sollte das Produkt de-
fekt sein, schicken Sie es bitte an die WAECO-Niederlassung in Ihrem Land
(Adressen siehe Rückseite der Anleitung) oder an Ihren Fachhändler. Zur
Reparatur- bzw. Garantiebearbeitung müssen Sie folgende Unterlagen mit-
schicken:
zeine Kopie der Rechnung mit Kaufdatum,
zeinen Reklamationsgrund oder eine Fehlerbeschreibung.

9 Entsorgung
9.1 Verpackungsmaterial entsorgen
Werfen Sie das Verpackungsmaterial nicht einfach weg. Beachten Sie bitte
folgende Hinweise:
➤Geben Sie Verpackungsmaterial aus Karton und die Kunststoffverpa-
ckungen möglichst in den entsprechenden Recycling-Müll.
➤Erfragen Sie ggf. bei Ihrer Kommunalverwaltung das für Sie zuständige
Recyclingcenter.
9.2 Altgerät entsorgen
Wenn Sie das Gerät endgültig außer Betrieb nehmen, bringen Sie es bitte
zum nächsten Recyclingcenter oder zu Ihrem Fachhändler, der es gegen
einen geringen Unkostenbeitrag zurücknimmt.
10 Störungsbeseitigung

2 Safety instructions
2.1 General safety
zUse only the connection cable to connect the device to the AC mains.
zNever pull the plug out of the socket by the cable.
zIf the cable is damaged, it must be replaced to prevent possible electrical
hazards.
zDo not operate the device if it is visibly damaged.
zThis device may only be repaired by specialist personnel. Inadequate
repairs can lead to considerable hazards.

zPull out the plug:

zEnsure that the ventilation slots are not covered.
zCheck that the voltage specification on the type plate corresponds to that
of the energy supply.
zThe cooling device is not suitable for transporting caustic materials or
materials containing solvents.
2.2 Operating the device safely
zBefore starting the device ensure that the power supply line and the plug
are dry.
zDo not place the device near flames or other heat sources (heaters, direct
sunlight, gas ovens etc.).
zDo not fill the inner container with ice or fluid.
zDo not immerse the device in water.
zNever expose the device to rain or moisture.
zProtect the device and the cable against heat and moisture.
zDo not touch exposed cables with your bare hands. This especially
applies to when operating the device with the AC mains: mortal danger!
zWAECO cannot be held liable for damage resulting from improper usage
or incorrect operation.

4 Proper use
The coolbox is suitable for cooling and freezing foodstuffs. The device is also
suitable for camping.
If you wish to cool medicines, please check if the cooling capacity of the
device is suitable for the medicine in question.
5 Technical description
The coolbox is suitable for use when camping, on a terrace, in the backyard,
or anywhere where a 220-240 V power connection is available. The device
can cool goods down and keep them cool or freeze them.
A maintenance-free, CFC-free refrigerant circuit with compressor provides
the cooling. The extra strong CFC-free insulation and powerful compressor
ensure especially fast cooling.
You can use the variable thermostat to set the desired temperature.
The lid is sealed continuously and has a magnetic lock.
6 Operation
Before starting your new coolbox for the first time, you should
clean it inside and outside with a damp cloth for hygienic reasons
(please also refer to the “Cleaning and care” chapter on page 17).
6.1 Energy saving tips
zChoose a well ventilated installation location which is protected against
direct sunlight.
zAllow food to cool down first before placing it in the device.
zDo not open the coolbox more often than necessary.
zDo not leave the lid open for longer than necessary.

6.2 Using the coolbox
➤Place the coolbox on a firm base.
➤Connect the coolbox to a 220-240 V AC socket using the connection
cable.
➤Open the lid of the control panel (fig. 2.1, page 3) by pressing down on it.
Press down on the lid again to close it.
➤Turn the temperature regulator (fig. 2.2, page 3) clockwise to the desired
position.
The further you turn the regulator towards “MAX”, the lower the
refrigerating temperature.
✓The coolbox starts cooling the interior.
Ensure that the objects placed in the coolbox are suitable for cool-
ing to the selected temperature.
Ensure that food or liquids in glass containers are not excessively
refrigerated. Liquids expand when they freeze and can thus
destroy the glass containers.
Switching off the coolbox
➤When you stop using the coolbox, turn the temperature regulator (fig. 2.2,
page 3) anticlockwise to “0” and pull the connection cable from the socket.
You can wind the cable around the two holders on the back of the
device for storage.

Caution!
Before cleaning the coolbox, pull the cable out of the socket.
Caution!
Do not clean the coolbox under flowing water or in dish water.
Caution!
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or hard objects during clean-
ing as these can damage the coolbox.
➤Clean the interior of the coolbox with a damp cloth from time to time.
➤Clean the exterior of the device with a damp cloth.
8 Guarantee
Our general guarantee conditions apply. If the product is defective, please
return it to the WAECO distributor in your county (addresses on the back on
the instruction manual). The following documents must be included with the
device when it it sent in for repair:
zCopy of the receipt with purchase date
zA reason for the guarantee claim or description of the fault

9 Disposal
9.1 Disposing of packaging material
Do not simply throw the packaging material away. Please observe the follow-
ing instructions:
➤Place cardboard and plastic packaging in the appropriate recycling waste
bins.
➤Ask your local authority for the location of the recycling centre closest to
you.
9.2 Disposing of the device
If you wish to finally dispose of the device, take it to the nearest recycling cen-
tre or return it to your specialist dealer who will be happy to take it back for a
small fee.
