DECLARATION OF EC-CONFORMITY
All the ata reporte in this brochure an the ata sheet, like linearity, lifetime, temperature coefficient are
vali for a sensor utilization as a ratiometric evice with a max current across the cursor Ic ≤ 0.1 mA.
Do NOT use the linear trans ucer as variable resistance!
When calibrating the trans ucer, be careful to set the stroke so that the output oes not rop below 1% or
rise above 99% of the voltage level.
MAINTENANCE
The sensors are maintenance free. It is not necessary to lubricate the moving parts.

FIRST STEPS
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
WayCon Positionsmesstechnik GmbH woul like to thank you for the trust you have place in us an our
pro ucts. This manual will make you familiar with the installation an operation of our linear
potentiometers. Please rea this manual carefully before initial operation!
Unpacking an checking:
Carefully lift the evice out of the box by grabbing the housing. After unpacking the evice, check it for
any visible amage as a result of rough han ling uring the shipment. Check the elivery for
completeness.
If necessary consult the transportation company, or contact WayCon irectly for further assistance.
3 brown (V+)
2 yellow (cursor)
1 blue (V-)
Sensor is to be use as voltage ivi er, using a
maximum cursor current of Ic ≤ 0.1 µA ( o NOT use the
sensor as variable resistance!). Please pay attention to
the notes on the last page.

TECHNICAL DRAWING
Useful electrical stroke B: correspon s to the sensors measurement range
Theoretical electrical stroke C: actual length of the con uctive path, that has to be longer than B, in or er
to get a vali electrical signal at the start an en point of the measurement range.
When calibrating the trans ucer, be careful to set the stroke so that the output oes not rop below 1%
or rise above 99% of the voltage level.
