General Description
Non-Contact Forehead IR Thermometer is specially designed to take the body
temperature of a person regardless of room temperature. Depending on
various skin types and thickness, there may be temperature dierence.

lntended Use
Non-Contact Forehead IR Thermometer is designed for body surface and
forehead temperature measurement for infants and adults without contact
to human body.
Non-Contact Forehead IR Thermometer can also be used to measure the
temperature of a baby-bottle or bath, or room temperature (by using the
Surface Temp function).

Advice For The 1st Use
For stable and reliable results, it is essential to check the Non-contact Body
Infrared Thermometer and change as needed, as follows:
1st step: take the temperature of a person using a conventional thermometer;
you will get 37.5°C (99.5°F) for instance.
2nd step: take the temperature of the same person using the Non-contact
Body Infrared Thermometer keeping the 5 to 15 cm (2 in to 5.9 in) distance
between the thermometer and the forehead (Take care to remove any
obstacle which could alter the measurement (hair, perspiration...). If you get
37.5°C (99.5°F), the Non-contact Body Infrared Thermometer is properly set
and ready for use. If you get a lower temperature, 36.4°C (97.4°F) for example,
your dierence is 1.1°C (2.2°F).You should adjust the temperature on the Non-
contact Body Infrared Thermometer and add the dierence, i.e. 1.1°C(2.2°F).
To do it, press the “MODE” button for 2 seconds, the screen displays F1, press
“MODE” button again until you get F3. You will see F3 for few seconds and
then there will appear some numbers (0.0 for new product). Press“UP”button
in order to increase that number which will be added to the measured value
and display calibrated measurement (in our example, 1.1°C- 2.2°F). If the
measured value is high, then you have to apply same procedure with“DOWN”
button for subtraction.
3rdstep: To check, take the temperature again using the Non-contact Body
Infrared Thermometer.
Use

warm-upoftheapparatusandwheninsertingthenewbatteries.
3. Ifthedeviceisnotusedforalongtime,onceyouturnitonagain,thedevicewill
testtheroomtemperaturerstandwilldelayturningonforoneortwoseconds.

4. Aimtowardstheforehead(seethediagrambelowforthepositioning),froma
distanceof5cm(2in),pressthemeasuringkey,thetemperatureisdisplayedim-
mediately.Makingsurethereisnohair,perspiration,cosmeticorcapcoveredon

thecorrectpositioning.Amistakewiththiscouldcausedamagetotheappara-
tusandcompromisetheguaranteeofyourNon-contactBodyInfraredTher-
mometer.Neveruserechargeablebatteries.Useonlybatteriesforsingleusage.
Removethebatteryfromtheinstrumentifitisnotrequiredforextendedperiods
oftimeinordertoavoiddamagetothethermometerresultingfromaleaking
battery.
9. LongevityUseTheNon-contactBodyInfraredThermometerwasconceivedfor
anintenseandprofessionaluse,itslongevityisguaranteedfor40000takings.

The screen displays the body temperature inferior to 32°C (89.6°F) If you’re on
Surface mode the 32°C(89.6°F) temperature displayed is showing the external
temperature that your body releases
The screen displays the message “HI” When using the Non-
contact Body Infrared Thermometer the message HI can show
on the screen.
The analysis is above the measurement range selected, either
superior to 42.5°C (108°F) in Body mode or superior to 60°C
(140°F) in Surface mode.

The screen displays the message “LO” When using the Non-
contact Body Infrared Thermometer the message Lo can show
on the screen.
The temperature analyzed is under the measuring range
selected, either less than 32°C (90°F) in Body mode or less than
0°C (32°F) in Surface mode.

Première utilisation
Pour obtenir des mesures stables et ables, il est nècessaire d'eectuer
un contrôle du réglage du thermomètre infra rouge avant sa première
utilisation, en selon les étapes suivantes :
1ère étape : prenez la température d’une personne à l’aide d’un
thermomètre conventionnel. Vous obtiendrez par exemple 37.5°C.
2ème étape : reprenez la température de cette même personne en
utilisant le thermomètre sans-contact en mode « Body », en maintenant le
thermomètre à une distance de 5 à 15 cm du front. Assurez-vous qu’aucun
obstacle ne gêne cette mesure (cheveux, transpiration…). Si vous obtenez
37.5°C, le ther- momètre sans-contact est bien réglé et prêt à l’utilisation.
Si vous obtenez une température inférieure, par exemple 36.4°C, la diérence
est de 1.1°C. Il faut ajuster le thermomètre sans-contact en ajoutant cette
diérence de 1.1°C. Pour cela, appuyer sur la toujusqu’à obtenir l’ajustement
que vous souhaitez, soit 1.1°C dans notre exemple. Ce chire sera ajouté
automatiquement à toutes les mesures que vous eectuerez en suite.
Si vous avez obtenu lors du test une mesure trop élevée par rapport au
thermomètre conventionnel, la à l’ajustement.
3ème étape : refaite un test en reprenant la température de la même
personne avec votre thermomètre sans-contact.

4. Orientezleviseurduthermomètreverslefront(voirleschémaci-dessous)àune
distanceAssurez-vousquelefrontsoitdégagédetouscheveux,transpiration,
cosmétiques,chapeaux…
5. Silaprisedetempératuresurlefrontposeproblème,vouspouvezégalement
prendreunemesurederrièrelelobed’oreille.Vousdevezdemêmevousassurer
qu’àl’endroitdelamesureiln’yapasdegêne(cheveux,transpiration…).

Pourchoisirl’unitédemesure,appuyezsurlebouton«mode»pendant2secondes.
