Save/Send Operation
1. Use the Navigation buttons to move the arrow to “Save/Next Reading” or
“Send/Next Reading” in the Navigation window.
2. Press the Select button. Spot Vital Signs LXi will transfer data electronically if it
can or will save data in memory if it cannot transfer it. A blank status window will
appear.

You may enter these parameters if they are enabled in the Internal Configuration
Mode; see Directions for Use manual for details.

Blood Pressure Operation
Press the BP Start/Stop button to start a blood pressure
measurement; press it again to stop a current reading.
SureTemp Plus Temperature Operation
1. Remove probe from well and apply a new probe cover. Use the
Navigation buttons to change the temperature mode then
press the Select button.
2. Place probe in contact with patient tissue as directed in the
Directions for Use manual. When done, a beep sounds. The temperature appears
on the display.
3. Eject probe cover. Return probe to well before starting another measurement.
Braun ThermoScan®PRO 4000 Temperature Operation
1. Remove probe from holder and apply a new probe cover; when ready, the device
will beep.
2. Fit probe snugly in the ear canal as directed in the Directions for Use manual.
3. Press the Activation button. When done, a long beep sounds. The probe will
display the temperature.
4. Eject probe cover and return probe to the holder. The Spot Vital Signs LXi will
display the temperature.

Apply sensor to patient. Verify there is a signal on the pulse signal bar graph. The
SpO2measurement and pulse rate will update continuously for 10 minutes.
