•Do not use this heater without a functioning smoke detector located nearby and only use it as
described in this manual as any usage not recommended by the manufacturer may cause harm
to people and property.

dropped in any manner, and immediately stop it in case of malfunction.
•Do not leave this device unattended once it has been turned on.

mental or sensory abilities are not allowed to use, maintain or clean this heater unless they have
been properly instructed and are supervised by a knowledgeable person responsible for their
safety.
•Do not place the heater on carpets, uneven or unstable surfaces or where it may tilt or fall.
•In order to guarantee the proper functionality of this device, place it upon a stable, smooth and
non-combustible surface that offers sufficient space.
•Always make sure to unplug the heater when it is not in use.
•Do not operate the heater with any of its safety devices removed.
•Do not use extension cords as they may overheat and cause fires.
•Do not place the power cord beneath carpets or cover it with other items, and make sure to
place it in a way that will not cause people to trip over it.
Electrical hazard
Only use the heater in dry environments; this product is not intended for usage in damp or moist areas,
such as bathrooms, laundry areas, near sinks, washing machines, swimming pools or other sources of
water and moisture. Never place the heater near containers of water into which it might fall. Do not use
this product outdoors either.

Fire hazard
Do not use the heater near combustible materials, flammable gases, other heat sources, or in areas
where these are stored. Further ensure to keep a safety distance of at least 1 m (approx. 3.2 ft) in all
directions from the device before operating the same and make sure that the air can freely circulate in
order to prevent possible fires. Never place the device on soft surfaces, such as beds, as openings
might get blocked.
Do not insert or allow objects to be inserted into the ventilation as this might lead to electric shocks, fire,
or damage to the heater. Never use extension cords as they may overheat and thereby cause fire.
Always make sure to unplug the device when it is not in use.
Burn hazard
Neither touch the heater while it is running nor shortly afterwards as its frame heats up during use and
therefore might cause severe burns when touching bare skin. If provided, use handles when trying to
move this heater, or wait for the device to cool down.
Instructions for use
•Operation:
Only operate the heater in an upright position, following all the instructions and recommenda-
tions listed within this manual.
•Placement:
In order to achieve the maximum effect, place the heater in the area of the room that is coldest.
•Connection:
Directly connect the heater to a 230 V/50 Hz AC wall outlet. Be sure the plug fits tightly and
thereby properly into the outlet. A loose connection might cause the device to overheat and
thereby damage the plug and the heater.
Note: In order to prevent a circuit from overloading, do not connect the heater to a circuit that
is already strained by other electrical needs.
•Turning the device on:
First press the power control switch by setting it to either “I” (low) or “II” (high) before then rotat-
ing the thermostat knob clockwise until it reaches the setting for its highest temperature.
Note: During the initial use of the heater, a burnt smell might come out of the device. We would
like to assure you that this is normal and only a temporary condition caused by the last drips of
lubricant burning off the heating element. The unpleasant smell should disappear after a few
minutes.
•Power indicator:
When being turned on, the power indicator lamp of the heater will glow in order to indicate that
the heater is functioning.
•Power switch settings:
This heater has got two different heating settings and can either bet set to “I” (low) or “II” (high).
It is advised to use the “high” setting (1500 W) in order to quickly increase the temperature to
the desired level. Once the temperature desired has been reached, switch to the “low” mode,
which is sufficient for maintaining a comfortable temperature.

•Thermostat settings:
After the heater has been turned on and the room temperature has become comfortable, slowly
turn the thermostat knob counter-clockwise until the heater shuts off (a faint clicking noise
should be heard). By setting and leaving the thermostat like this, the device will automatically
maintain the current temperature. By further turning it counter-clockwise towards the “low” po-
sition, the temperature can be lowered. In order to raise the temperature, simply turn the knob
clockwise towards the “high” position.
•Turning the device off:
Turn the switch to the “off” position before plugging or unplugging the heater. Always make sure
to unplug the device while it is not in use.
•Fan mode:
Turn the power level control switch to the fan setting before turning the thermostat knob clock-
wise in order to make the fan run continuously.
Safety features
•The power indicator lamp of the device will be illuminated if either the fan or the heater are
turned on.
•The inbuilt overheating protection device will make sure to automatically turn off the device if
the heater grill is obstructed or the heater will grow too hot. Once the heater has been turned
off this way, it needs to be reset by turning it off and unplugging it. After waiting approximately
10 min in order for the device to cool down, the power cord can be reconnected and the heater
restarted.
•This product is equipped with a tip-over-switch, too, which causes the heater to automatically
shut down if it tips over. Simply place the device on an even surface without obstructions and
make sure that it is in an upright position in order to restart the heating process.
Maintenance
•Before cleaning the device make sure to unplug it and wait for the heater to cool down com-
pletely.
•A washable filter is located at the air inlet and can be removed in case it should require cleaning.
In case this filter should appear to be dirty, simply remove it from the device after unplugging
the same and making sure that it had cooled down. The filter can be rinsed with warm water,
but needs to have dried completely before it can be reattached to the filter.
•The outside of the heater can be cleaned with a damp piece of cloth while the device is un-
plugged.
•Do not use any detergents for this process and never dunk the heater in water as it is not only
going to destroy the device, but can also be dangerous. Once the frame has been cleaned,
make sure to let the device dry properly before putting it to use again.
