nIntroduction
The CalibrationUnitcontains resistorsandcapacities withinthespecified tolerancesfor
testing theSafetyPips.
The Calibration Unitrequires no batteryorany externalpowersupply.
Notice:Removeall connectionsfromthemeasuring inputoftheSafetyPip!
nChecking theSafetyPips
Tocheckthelimitspleaseconnect:
-Leftjack ofthe Calibration Unit withtheSafetyPips’sground.
-Rightjack oftheCalibration Unit withtheSafetyPips’scoil cordconnectorusingthe
banana plug adapter.
Selectsequentiallywiththemarkedleaveroftherotaryswitch eachposition ofthe
Calibration Unit’sleftscale(Lo,OK,OK, OK,Hi and Hi).
The SafetyPips mustindicatethe resultscorresponding tothe selected position ofthe rotary
switch.
nChecking theCalibration Unit
Recommendedcalibrationcycle:3years
Tocheckthe resistorsand capacitancesconnectasuitableinstrumenttothesocketsofthe
Calibration Unit and select eachtestposition withtherotaryswitch.
The corresponding valuesand tolerancescanbe taken fromthedrawing below.
