NOTE: Plastic cement works by dissolving the surface of plastic and welding parts together.
Avoid contact with detail on parts. Always allow glue to set before moving to next step.

1.Building, Roof and Detail Preparation
Remove any mold flash from Building Walls,•
Tower Walls and Roof using a hobby knife and
sandpaper (Fig. 1a).
Pay special attention to mold flash in grooves•
on backside of Walls.
Wash Walls, Roof and Details (on sprue) in•
warm, soapy water. Rinse and let dry.
Remove Details from sprue with a•
hobby knife (or flush cutting shears).
NOTE: Do not remove placement
posts from Details (Fig. 1b).
Sand off any mold flash and parting•
lines from Details. NOTE: Do not
sand placement posts.
2.Install Hinged Doors
Do NOT glue Fire Station Doors to Door Supports.
Fire Station Doors are hinged to swing inward.
Place Front Wall face-down.•
Insert hinge pins on LH Door into hinge•
barrels on LH Door Support (Fig. 2a).
Install LH Door Assembly on right-hand•
side of Front Wall (Fig. 2b).
Carefully apply glue along LH Door Support.•
Insert hinge pins on RH Door into hinge•
barrels on RH Door Support (Fig. 2c).
Install RH Door Assembly on left-hand•
side of Front Wall (Fig. 2d).
Carefully apply glue along RH Door Support.•
Continue in same manner with LH Door and•
LH Door Support , and RH Door and RH
Door Support .
NOTE: Position Door and Support with flat sides facing same direction.
3.Assemble Tower
Place Front Tower•
Wall face-down.
Align three locking•
tabs on Right Tower
Wall with Front
Tower Wall and snap
in place (Fig. 3a)

3.Assemble Tower cont.
Square Walls and apply•
glue along inside seam.
Place Back Tower Wall•
face-down.
Align two locking tabs on•
Left Tower Wall with
Back Tower Wall and snap
in place (Fig. 3b).
Square Walls and apply glue along inside seam.•
Align locking tabs on both Tower Sections and snap firmly together.•
NOTE: Tower Assembly must be snapped together tightly or it will not fit on Front Wall
(Step 4).
5.Assemble Walls and Roof
Align tabs on Front Wall with•
Left Wall and snap in place
(Fig. 5a).
Square Walls and apply glue along•
inside seam.
Repeat with Front Wall and Right•
Wall .
4.Attach Tower Assembly
Center Tower Assembly in slot•
on Front Wall
at a slight
backward angle (Fig. 4a).
Push Tower Assembly down,•
aligning placement posts on
Tower Assembly with placement
holes on Front Wall.
Tower Assembly and Front Wall•
should be flush along bottom
(Fig. 4b).
Apply glue along joining seams•
on interior wall.

Align Roof in Wall•
grooves and slide into
place (Fig. 5b).
Apply glue along inside•
seams.
Snap Back Wall into•
place and apply glue along
inside seams.
7.Upper Tower Assembly
Press Upper Tower pieces and together• (Fig. 7a),
then apply glue along inside seams.
Apply glue in grooves on Upper Tower Base• (Fig. 7b).
Install Upper Tower Assembly on Upper Tower Base• (Fig. 7c).
Glue Tower Cap to Upper Tower Assembly, then attach•
Tower Finial (Fig. 7d).
NOTE: Do NOT attach Upper Tower Assembly to Tower at this
time.

6.Install Chimney Backs
Apply glue to Chimney Back•
placement posts. Center over
placement holes on built-in chimney
and press in place (Fig. 6a).
Repeat with Chimney Backs ,•
and .
NOTE: Chimney Backs are interchangeable.

8.Prime and Paint
NOTE: Do not prime or paint placement posts.
Apply a thin coat of primer to Building and Details.•
Allow to dry.•
Paint Building and Details, as desired.•
Allow to dry.•
• Optional: Add a realistic mortar-look
(see Tips and Techniques, page 10).
TIP! To make priming and painting easier,
attach Details (unexposed side down)
to loops of masking tape on a piece of
cardboard (Fig. 8a and 8b).

9.Window Treatments
There are two options for Window Treatments: Printed Window Treatments* or Clear
Window Material.
Cut out Window Treatments along the cut-lines.•
Place building on its front face with the bottom toward you• (Fig. 9a).
Center corresponding Window Treatment(s) over window(s) on inside of Building.•
Carefully dab a small amount of glue around edges of Window Treatment• (Fig. 9a).
Repeat for each set of window openings.•
*Position printed side of Window Treatments toward inside of Building.
TIP! For clear windows, place Clear Window Material over Printed Window Treatments and
trace cut-lines with a fine tip permanent marker.

10.Install Details
To install Details, apply glue to placement posts, then align placement posts in placement holes.

11.Flag Assembly
Carefully cut out Paper Flag with•
scissors.
Apply white glue to backside of Flag,•
fold in half, then smooth surface
(Fig. 11a).
Hold each end of Flag and push•
toward center creating a wavy-look
(Fig. 11b).
Apply glue to end of Flag, then insert•
into slot on Flag Pole (Fig. 11c).
Install Flag Assembly on front of•
Building (Fig. 11d).

Blackout Paper: each
measuring 2 1/4" x 1 1/4".
Lay the two sheets on top•
of each other, then cut a
slit half-way up the center
(Fig. 12e).
Assemble as shown•

Place a drop of glue at•
each corner of Blackout
Paper to hold in place.

12.Blackout Paper
Cut two sheets of Blackout Paper: each measuring 8 1/4" x 3 3/4".•
Lay the two sheets on top of each other, then cut a slit half-way up the center• (Fig. 12a).
Assemble as shown• (Fig. 12b and 12c).
Insert into Building• (Fig. 12d).

TIPS AND
TECHNIQUES
Lighting
The Fire Station is light-
ready! The interior is
molded with a raceway
and socket holder to
support most lighting kits.
To cut down on•
unwanted glow, paint
the interior walls
black.

Second Floor
The Fire Station is molded with a lip along the interior Front and Back Walls to support
a second story floor.
Cut a piece of styrene sheet approximately 5-5/16" x 6-1/4".•
Glue in place.•
