4K HDMI Extender with KVM
The NPG-EX10KVM is a cost-effective point-to-point HDMI extender set for HDMI and
USB signals; this kit supports 4K/UHD video@30 Hz, as well as HDMI data rates up to
10.2Gbps, HDCP 1.4 compliant; It provides HDMI transmission up to 393 feet (120m) for
1080p or 4K@30Hz over single CATx cable. It supports video resolution down-scaling, the
4K input can be automatically downscale to 1080p output for compatibility with 1080p
display.

l Extends 1080p or 4K HDMI signal up to 393 feet (120m) over a single CATx cable.
l Supports USB 1.1, and the USB extension is up to 393 feet (120m).
l HDMI loop out on transmitter.
l Supports down-scaling, the 4K input can be automatically degraded to 1080p output on
receiver to compatible with the1080p legacy devices.
l Supports bi-directional 12V PoC, only one power supply required.

Transmitter Panel Description
1. HDMI OUT:
Connects to HDMI display device.
2. HDMI IN:
Connects to HDMI source device.
3.
USB port to connect source device (e.g. desktop) that needs to be controlled by USB
devices at receiver end.
4. DC 12V:
DC connector for the power adapter connection.
5. RESET:
Press the button to reboot the transmitter.
6. CAT:
RJ45 port to connect the CAT port of receiver by CATx cable. It supports 12V PoC
to power the receiver.
7. LINK:
Illuminates when there is a valid HDMI signal input.
Receiver Panel Description
1. HDMI OUT:
Connects to HDMI display device.
2.
Two USB ports to connect USB devices (e.g. Mouse, Keyboard) to control the source
device (e.g. PC) at transmitter end.
3. DC 12V:
DC connector for the power adapter connection.
4. RESET:
Press the button to reboot the receiver.
5. CAT:
RJ45 port to connect the CAT port of transmitter by CATx cable.
6. LINK:
Illuminates when there is a valid HDMI signal output.
EDID Management
If the HDMI output of transmitter is connected to display device, the source device will
automatically learn the EDID of the local display device, otherwise, the source device will
invoke built-in EDID (4K@30Hz 4:4:4).

HDCP Handling
l If the source device has no HDCP content, both the TX HDMI loop out and RX HDMI
out also has no HDCP content.
l The HDCP content of HDMI loop out on TX automatically follows the source device’s.
l The HDCP content of HDMI out on RX automatically follows the RX display device’s.
