Application
The active eye protection welding lters XELUX X-series were
specically developed to be used in arc welding. The active eye
protection welding lters XELUX X-series are well suited for most
applications of arc welding between 20 up to 300 Amp of power, for
empty or covered elctrodes, as well as plasma- cutting and welding.
The active eye protection welding lters XELUX X-series offer a high
amount of safety while working comfortably.
The active eye protection welding lters XELUX X-series must not be
used for laser protection.
Personal light sensitivity varies long term with age and short term
during the day. When in doubt which shade level to use, please refer
to the corresponding norms and recoomendations of the professio-
nal associations.
Make sure you are using the correct model for your welding. For
your safety and proper functioning of the lter, make sure you have
enough lighting in your work environment.
X200|X600 - Automatic control of shade level 3 / 9 < 13
X800 - External manual control of shade level 3 / 8 – 12
X700 - Internal manual control of sensitivity, shade level
3 / 8 – 13 and delay. Comes with exchangeable
battery. Allows for welding in darkness (lifetime of
min. 6 years)
The active eye protection welding lters XELUX X-series must be
inserted into a welding mask.
Choose an appropriate shade level (X700 / X800). You can take on the
mask and start working. There is no on/off switch. The active eye
protection welding lters XELUX X-series darken and brighten auto-
matically. Make sure neither the solar panel nor the sensors besides
the solar panel are obstructed.
Technology
The active welding protection lters XELUX X-series switch from a
light state of shade level 3 to a dark state between shade level 9 and
13 (X200 / X600), 8 – 13 (X700), 8 – 12 (X800). In this range, the lter
will, depending on the model, adjust automatically (X200 / X600) or
manually (X700 / X800). The automatic adjustment is dependant on
the illuminance. When turning away from the direction of the light
source, the welding lters will switch to their light state.
The active welding protection lters XELUX X-series X200 / X600
/ X800 work on solar power only. The X700 lter works with an
exchangeable battery in addition to the solar panels for welding in
darkness.
The active welding protection lters XELUX X-series X700 / X800 are
dust- and splash proof. The X200 / X600 lter is waterproof for a
depth down to 50 m for 5 hours.
The realcolor optics offer a clear light state with full color recogni-
tion.
