Make a Copy Using the Duplex Automatic Document Feeder (DADF)
NOTE: Use the DADF for multiple or single pages. Use the Document Glass for single
copies or paper that cannot be fed using the DADF.
1. Load the original document in the DADF.
2. On the Control Panel, press the [Clear All] button to clear previous copy settings.
3. Select the [Copy] button on the Touch Screen.
4. Using the numeric keypad on the Control Panel, enter the required number of
copies.
5. Select other copy settings for the job if required.
6. Press the [Start] button on the Control Panel to begin copying.
Make a Copy Using the Document Glass
NOTE: The Document Glass accepts paper sizes from 15 x 15 mm (0.59 x 0.59 in.) to
A3 (297 x 432 mm / 11.6 x 17 in.). The Document Glass automatically detects standard
paper sizes.
1. Load the original document face-down on the Document Glass.
2. On the Control Panel, press the [Clear All] button to remove any previous copy
settings.
3. Select the [Copy] button on the Touch Screen.
4. Using the numeric keypad on the Control Panel, enter the required number of
copies. The number of copies will be displayed in the upper, right corner of the
Touch Screen.
1. To change the number of copies, press the [C] button, and then re-enter
the required number.
2. To stop a copy job, press the [Stop] button. To continue the job, select the
[Resume] button.
3. To cancel the job, select the [Cancel] button.
5. Select any other required copy settings.
6. Press the [Start] button on the Control Panel to begin copying.

Add an Individual Fax Entry to the Address Book (Fax Directory)
1. Press the [Machine Status] button on the Control Panel.
2. Select the [Tools] tab on the Touch Screen.
3. Select [Setup & Calibration].
NOTE: If the Setup & Calibration option is not displayed, it is required to login as
a System Administrator to complete this solution. (Username: admin Passcode:
1111 or 11111).
4. Select [Setup], and then select [Add Address Book Entry].
5. Select an available address number, and then select [Address Type (Not Set)].
6. Select [Fax], and then select [Save].
7. Select each of the required items in the list, and then enter the information using
the keypad or keyboard on the Touch Screen.
8. When all required settings have been configured, select the [Save] button twice
to complete the Address Book entry.
Add a Group Fax Entry to the Address Book (Fax Directory)
Create a group to send a fax to multiple individuals. Groups can include both previously
stored individuals and group entries.
NOTE: Individual entries must be configured before groups can be added.
1. Press the [Machine Status] button on the Control Panel. The Machine Status
screen will be displayed on the Touch Screen.
2. Select the [Tools] tab on the Touch Screen.
3. Select [Setup & Calibration].
NOTE: If the Setup & Calibration option is not displayed, it is required to login as
a System Administrator to complete this solution. (Username: admin Passcode:
1111 or 11111).
4. Select [Setup], and then select [Create Fax Group Recipients].
5. Select an available group from the list.
6. Select the [Group Name] field, enter a name for the group using the keyboard on
the Touch Screen, and then select [Save].
7. Select the [Speed Dial] field, and then enter the Speed Dial number of the first
individual entry to be added to the group using the alphanumeric keypad.
8. Select [Add to this Group].
9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 until all required individuals have been added to the group.
10.When all entries have been added, select [Save], and then select [Close].

How to send a fax
NOTE: Faxes can be sent using the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) or the
Document Glass. Multiple-page documents must be faxed using the ADF.
1. For the ADF, remove any staples and paper clips from the original, and then load
the original face-up into the Feeder, typically in the portrait orientation.
For the Document Glass, load the original face-down on the glass with the top of
the page toward the left side of the glass, typically in the portrait orientation.
To send a fax to a single recipient:
1. If necessary, press the [Services Home] button on the Control Panel, and then
select the [Fax] tab on the Touch Screen to display the Fax options.
2. Using the alphanumeric keypad, enter the fax phone number, and then press the
[Start] button to send the fax.
To send a fax using the Address Book:
1. If necessary, press the [Services Home] button on the Control Panel, and then
select the [Fax] tab on the Touch Screen to display the Fax options.
2. Select the [Address Book] button.

3. Select the [Individuals] option from the pull-down menu.
4. Select the required speed dial from the list displayed, and then select the [Add to
Recipients] option from the pop-up menu.
5. Repeat step 4 to enter additional individual fax.
6. When all the fax numbers have been entered, select the [Close] button.
7. Select any required features for your fax job.
Press the [Start] button on the Control Panel to scan the originals and process the fax
job.
How to Scan to E-mail
1. Load the original(s) face-up in the Duplex Automatic Document Feeder (DADF),
or place a single original face-down on the Document Glass.
2. Press the [Services Home] button on the Control Panel.
3. Select [Email] on the Touch Screen.
4. Add a new recipient’s email address
5. Press [Add]
6. Select any other required options from the Email, Advanced Settings, Layout
Adjustment, Email Options or Job Assembly tabs.
7. Press the [Start] button on the Control Panel.
Scan to a Network File Repository (Network Scanning)
Network Scanning allows a user to scan an original document, convert it to an electronic
file, and distribute and archive that file in a variety of ways. The final destination of the
electronic file is controlled by a template chosen by the user at the printer's Control
Panel.
NOTES:
Network Scanning is an optional feature and may not be installed on the printer.
To view the current services and options installed on the printer. If it is found that
the Network Scanning feature has not been installed, a Scan Kit can be
purchased from your local Sales Representative. Refer to the instructions
included with the kit for information on how to install the feature.
After the feature has been installed using the Scan Kit, the following items must
be completed before this feature can be used.
oA network file repository must be set up.
oA template must be created.
oA digital certificate must be installed on the printer.
oSecure HTTP (SSL) must be enabled.
To scan documents to a network file repository:

1. Load the original document in the Duplex Automatic Document Feeder (DADF),
or face-down on the Document Glass.
2. Press the [Services Home] button on the Control Panel.
3. Select [Network Scanning].
4. Select the required template.
5. To override the template scan settings:
oFor scanning options, use the four menus at the bottom of the Touch
Screen:
Color Scanning
2-Sided Scanning
Original Type
Scan Presets
oFor additional scanning options, use the tabs at the top of the Touch
Screen.
Press the [Start] button on the Control Panel to begin scanning.
How to Copy ID Cards
1. Press the [Services Home] button on the Control Panel.
2. Select the [ID Card Copy] button on the Touch Screen.
3. Place ID Card on the Document Glass in the upper right hand corner (align with
green arrow).
4. Press the [Start] button.
NOTE: The document will not print out.
5. Lift the Document feeder and flip the ID card over placing it about 1/4 of an inch
away from the green arrow.
6. Press the [Start] button.
7. Document will print out.
