Press a pad into the
smaller bail (marked “A”).
• Close and compress the
mount around the bar.
• Insert a short hex bolt into the
hex opening in the barrel
sleeve, and insert into mount.
Use the upper hinge slot
on the backbone.
Press a pad into the backbone.
(You may need to rotate the pad
to fit correctly.)
INSTALL PADS TO ONE SET OF MOUNTS.
Place the mount onto the bar, opening toward the front of the car.
ATTACH SMALL BAIL TO
BACKBONE.
IF THE BOLT DOES NOT EXTEND,
remove the bail, and set the end
into the lower slot.

pad on the bail for
this fitting process.
ATTACH THE THUMB-WHEEL:
If there is any looseness, or the mounts can slide
on the bar, follow the fitting process again.

REMOVE THE FITTED MOUNT FROM THE BAR.

•Determine which carriage bolt you will need,
and whether adapter or spacer will be used.
• Some parts may replace your accessory
hardware. Follow the diagrams in the chart.
Repeat the fitting process until
the MightyMount conforms to
the size of your crossbars when
the wheel is tightened.
• Assemble the
remaining mounts,
and carefully set
them aside.
•Do not discard the
unused parts (you
may use them on
future vehicles).
Always use the SHORT bolt with SMALL bail — and LONG bolt with LARGE bail.
• Use the larger bail (marked “B”)
with longer bolt.
• Repeat step 2 and 3.

HARDWARE CAN LOOSEN OVER TIME. CHECK BEFORE EACH USE, AND TIGHTEN IF NECESSARY.
LIMITED WARRANTY: Yakima Products (“Yakima”) will repair or replace merchandise which proves defective in materials and/or workmanship. The limited warranty is effective
for three years from the date of purchase. The limited warranty is applicable only if the Fit List and instructions are followed and the products are used properly. If a customer
believes that a Yakima product is defective, the customer must return it to an authorized Yakima dealer with proof of purchase. Yakima will then issue authorization to the dealer
for the return of these products. If an article is found to be defective upon inspection by Yakima, Yakima will repair or replace the defective article at its discretion without charge.
The customer will pay freight to Yakima, and Yakima will pay any applicable return freight. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted. Normal wear and tear of Yakima products
or damage resulting from misuse, accidents, or alterations are not covered by this Limited Warranty.The purchaser acknowledges that Yakima has no control over the attachment
of its products to vehicles or the attachment of items to the Yakima products. Accordingly, Yakima cannot assume responsibility for any damage to any property arising out of the
improper attachment or use of its products. In addition, this Limited Warranty applies only to Yakima products and not to other products used in conjunction with Yakima products.
This Limited Warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, and does not cover consequential damages of any kind that may arise from the use or misuse of any
Yakima product.
KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS!
REMOVING YOUR ACCESSORY
Unscrew the wheels, carefully remove
your acessory from the car.
Follow the YAKIMA Fit List or your owner’s manual for
your rack’s weight limit. Do not exceed the factory
weight limit of your vehicle’s racks.
Maximum weight is 165 lbs. (75 kg) unless otherwise noted.
RE-INSTALLING ACCESSORY
• Carefully tighten the thumb-wheels after reinstallation.
• FOLLOW SAFETY CHECKS IN ACCESSORY INSTRUCTIONS
EVERY INSTALLATION.
ANTENNA
Antenna on the roof may need to
be removed to prevent
interference with long loads.
WEIGHT
LIMITS
REMOVE ACCESSORY BEFORE ENTERING AN
AUTOMATIC CAR WASH.
MAINTENANCE
Use non-water soluble lubricant on screws. Use a soft
cloth with water and mild detergent to clean plastic parts.
Some longer loads may prevent the
rear hatch from fully opening.
ALWAYS USE CAUTION WHEN
OPENING YOUR HATCH.
REAR HATCH
• There must be adequate clearance for
installing accessory locks.
• If the accessory lock housing comes in
contact with the vehicle, even after loading
the rack, do not install them.
Always tie down
both ends of long
loads to vehicle.
Failure to do so can
result in property
damage, personal
injury, or death.

Enfoncer une garniture dans
la petite mâchoire inférieure
(marquée “A”).
• Refermer et appuyer
l’adaptateur sur la barre.
• Enfiler un boulon hexagonal
court dans l’ouverture
hexagonale d’un barillet et
ensuite dans l’adaptateur.
Enfoncer une garniture dans la
mâchoire supérieure.
(Il faudra
peut-être tourner la garniture
pour qu’elle
s’engage
bien.)
POSER LES GARNITURES SUR UN JEU
D’ADAPTATEURS.
Placer l’adaptateur sur la barre, avec l’ouverture tournée vers l’avant du véhicule.
RÉUNIR LA PETITE MÂCHOIRE
INFÉRIEURE ET LA MÂCHOIRE
SUPÉRIEURE.
Employer la fente d’articulation
supérieure de la mâchoire supérieure.
SI LE FILETAGE DU BOULON NE
DÉPASSE PAS SOUS LA MÂCHOIRE,
enlever la mâchoire inférieure et la
réinstaller dans la fente inférieure.
Le filetage du

INSTALLER LA MOLETTE:
S’il y a du jeu, ou si l’adaptateur glisse sur la
barre, reprendre le processus de préparation.
PRÉPARATION (choisir les pièces convenant aux barres transversales en place).
UNE FOIS L’ADAPTATEUR BIEN AJUSTÉ, L’ENLEVER
DE LA BARRE.

SUIVRE LES INDICATIONS DE MONTAGE
DONNÉES AUX PAGES SUIVANTES.
• Déterminer quel boulon à tête bombée il faudra employer,
et s’il faudra poser l’entretoise ou l’intercalaire.
• Certaines pièces remplaceront peut-être de la
quincaillerie qui accompagne l’accessoire: suivre les
illustrations figurant ici.
Reprendre le processus de
préparation jusqu’à ce que
l’adaptateur MightyMount
s’ajuste bien à la taille de la
barre quand on serre la molette.
• Assembler les autres
adaptateurs et les
mettre de côté
soigneusement.
• Ne pas jeter les pièces
qui ne servent pas: elles
pourraient être utiles si
l’on change de véhicule.
Toujours employer le boulon COURT avec la PETITE mâchoire, et le boulon LONG avec la GRANDE mâchoire.
SI LE FILETAGE DU BOULON NE DÉPASSE
TOUJOURS PAS SOUS LA MÂCHOIRE
FERMÉE:
• Employer la grande mâchoire inférieure
(marquée “B”) et un boulon long.
• Recommencer les opérations 2 et 3.

1. Trouver l’accessoire à monter et suivre le schéma correspondant.
2. Poser l’entretoise ou l’intercalaire selon l’accessoire.

3. Remettre la garniture en place.

serrer avec la mâchoire inférieure et la molette.

Si les barres transversales d’origine sont inclinées et que l’intercalaire ne
porte pas à plat contre l’accessoire, desserrer le boulon à tête bombée et
tourner l’intercalaire par rapport au MightyMount.
Il faudra enlever la garniture; veiller à la replacer une fois le boulon serré.

Cobra.
3. Remettre la garniture en place.
4. Poser l’ensemble sur la barre transversale et le
serrer avec la mâchoire inférieure et la molette.
5. Lire les avertissements en dernière page!

Le panier portera sur le dessus des barres, comme

POSITION DE L’ENTRETOISE:
Si les barres transversales d’origine sont
inclinées et que l’entretoise ne porte pas
à plat contre l’accessoire, desserrer le
boulon à tête bombée et tourner
l’entretoise par rapport au MightyMount.
Il faudra enlever la garniture; veiller à la
replacer une fois le boulon serré.
AVANT DE CONTINUER, ENLEVER LA
GARNITURE SUPÉRIEURE.
1. Enfiler le boulon à tête bombée long à
travers la plaquette et l’arceau du panier,
puis dans l’entretoise et la mâchoire
supérieure.
2. Fixer l’entretoise et le panier à la
mâchoire supérieure à l’aide de la
rondelle et de l’écrou. Serrer avec la clé.
3. Remettre la garniture en place.
4. Poser l’ensemble sur la barre transversale
et le serrer avec la mâchoire inférieure et
la molette.
5. Lire les avertissements en dernière page!

produits ont été utilisés normalement. Si le client estime qu'un produit Yakima est défectueux, le client doit le retourner à un dépositaire Yakima autorisé, accompagné de la
preuve d'achat. Yakima autorisera alors le dépositaire à retourner le produit. Si, après inspection, Yakima juge le produit défectueux, Yakima réparera ou remplacera le produit,
à sa discrétion et sans frais. Le client devra assumer les frais de transport jusqu'à Yakima et Yakima assumera les frais de retour au client. Les retours non autorisés ne seront pas
acceptés. Cette garantie ne couvre pas l'usure normale ou les dommages résultant d'un usage abusif, d'un accident ou de modifications aux produits Yakima. L'acheteur
reconnaît que Yakima n'a aucun contrôle sur la façon dont ses produits sont fixés aux véhicules, ou dont les articles transportés sont fixés aux produits Yakima. Il s'ensuit que

de charge du porte-bagages. Ne pas dépasser la limite de
charge visant le porte-bagages d’origine du véhicule.
Charge maximale: 75 kg (165 lb) à moins d’indication contraire.
