Before operation
•Max. capacity of the jack is as indicated on the decal plate.
•Ensure that the load to be lifted is not larger than the rated
capacity of the lifting claw.
Operation:Liftingtheload
•The jack is to be used in vertical position only.
•Position the jack under the load safely.
•To close the relief valve, turn the valve clockwise with the
operation lever. The relief valve should be hand-tight only.
DONOTOVER-TIGHTENASTHIS
CANDAMAGETHEVALVESEAT.
•Position the lever in the pump socket and begin pumping to
raise the load.
•Always ensure that the claw is fully supported by the load.
Operation:Loweringtheload
•To open the release valve, turn the valve anti-clockwise,
using the operation lever.
•The speed at which the jack lowers is in direct proportion to
the speed at which the valve is opened.
•Before lowering a load, ensure that all personell are clear of
the load.
Attention
•Lifting claw has to be placed completly under the load and
never below an edge.
•Place the jack upright and on solid ground .
•Never exceed the max. capacity of the jack.
•Check the load before starting to lift.
•Never subject the jack off-center load and never extend the
lever.
Maintenance
•Keep the jack clean, especially protect him from sand and
water
•Lubricate all gliding and moving parts thoroughly.
Checkingoillevel
Check the oil level regularly by retracting the piston fully, placing
the jack in a vertical position and carefully removing the rubber
oil- filler plug. The oil level should be up to the hole with the jack
in vertical position. Top-up as necessary, but do not over-fill.
Replace the rubber oil-filler plug.
Only use high quality Yale hydraulic oil to Class ISO 32.
Bleeding air from the system
In case the piston feels "spongy" during operation, air may have
entered the pressure system.
To remove air from the system, open the relief valve, operate the
pumping mechanism several times, close the relief valve and
advance the piston without load.
Turn the jack upside down, open the relief valve and push the
piston closed.
Repeat until all the air is removed.
After carrying out the air bleeding procedure, check the oil level.
Safety precautions
•Ensure that jack rests on solid ground, with the total base
supported.
•If the ground is not solid, use a steel plate to support the
load.
•Never use the claw on its edge or the jack diagonally.
•If the load is to be left in the raised position, use packing
pieces as additional support.
•Do not drop loads onto the piston or the pump plunger.
•Remove operating lever when not in use.
•Do not use damaged or leaking jacks.
•The load must rest only on the jacks and has to be free from
horizontal forces.
Dangerzones
•The load can only be lifted when the operator has ensured
himself that the jack is positioned safely and no other
personel is in the Der Bediener darf eine Lastanhebung erst
einleiten, wenn er sich davon überzeugt hat, daß der Heber
sicher angesetzt ist und sich keine Personen im Gefahren-
bereich aufhalten.
•While lifting on slopy grounds safety preparations have to be
used
