INSTRUMENT OPERATION - Simply aim the thermometer at the target and press
the 'Measure' button to display the surface temperature. The distance to target
ratio is 1:1 therefore the thermometer should be positioned as close to the target
as possible. Please note: Prolonged use at close range to a source of high or low
temperature may affect the accuracy of the instrument due to thermal radiation.
MIN/MAX - First turn the instrument on by pressing the 'Measure' button, then
press the 'Mode' button once for maximum or twice for minimum. The 'MAX' or

EMISSIVITY - The IR-Pocket thermometer is supplied with a default emissivity of
0.95. The emissivity of the thermometer can be changed from 0.1 (10E) to 1 (100E).
Changes should only be carried out by experienced personnel. To change the

LCD ERROR MESSAGES - 'Er2' is displayed when the IR-Pocket thermometer is
exposed to rapid changes in the ambient temperature. 'Er3' is displayed when the
ambient temperature exceeds -10 °C (14 °F) or 50 °C (122 °F). The thermometer
should be allowed plenty of time (minimum 30 minutes) to stabilise to the
working/room temperature. Error 5-9, for all other error messages it is necessary
to reset the thermometer. To reset, turn the instrument off, remove the batteries
and wait for a minimum of one minute, reinsert the batteries and then turn the
unit on. If the error message remains, please contact the ETI Service Department
for further assistance. 'Hi' or 'Lo' is displayed when the temperature being
measured is outside of the measurement range.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT - When the 'Low Battery' icon indicates the battery is
low, the battery should be replaced immediately with 2 x AAA batteries.
Please note: It is important to turn the instrument off before replacing the
batteries otherwise the thermometer may malfunction. If a malfunction occurs,
restart the device. Keep the batteries away from children.
STORAGE & CLEANING - The sensor lens is the most delicate part of the
thermometer and should be kept clean at all times. Care should be taken
when cleaning the lens, using only a soft cloth or cotton swab with water
or medical alcohol, do not submerge any part or the thermometer. Allow
the lens to fully dry before re-using it. The thermometer should be stored
between -20 to 60 °C (-4 to 140 °F).
EMC/RFI - Readings may be affected if the unit is operated within radio frequency

INDICATORE CIRCOLARE A LED - L’indicatore circolare a LED non è proprio uguale alla misura
dell’obiettivo. Per ottenere il miglior risultato puntare all’obiettivo da una distanza di circa 2,5 cm.
MESSAGGI DI ERRORE LCD - Quando il termometro IR-Pocket viene esposto a cambiamenti
rapidi di temperatura ambiente, verrà visualizzato il messaggio 'Er2'. 'Er3' compare quando
la temperatura ambiente supera i -10 °C (14 °F) o i 50 °C (122 °F). Si deve lasciar stabilizzare il
termometro alla temperatura ambiente/ di lavoro per un minimo di 30 minuti. Errore 5-9, per
tutti gli altri messaggi è necessario resettare il termometro. Per resettarlo, spegnere lo strumento,
togliere le pile e aspettare per un minimo di un minuto, reinserire le pile e riaccendere l’unità.
Se il messaggio di errore persiste, contattare il Reparto di Assistenza ETI. 'Hi' (Alto) o 'Lo' (Basso)
compaiono quando la temperatura rilevata fuoriesce dal campo di misurazione.
SOSTITUZIONE PILE - Quando compare l’icona di 'Pile scariche', si devono sostituire
immdiatamente le 2 pile AAA. Si prega di notare: È importante spegnere lo strumento prima di
sostituire le pile o il termometro può funzionare male. In caso di cattivo funzionamento, riavviare lo
strumento. Tenere le pile fuori dalla portata dei bambini.
IMMAGAZZINAGGIO & PULIZIA - La lente del sensore è la parte più delicata del termometro
che dev’essere sempre mantenuta pulita. Si deve prestare attenzione quando si pulisce la
