Additional Information
Due to upgrading of firmware, the following functions are added after the printing of supplied owner's manual.
This unit is designed to enable a conference call between up
to 4 locations when connected to a network via VC1. It is
possible to call a new location (branch or department)
during the call.
To enable a conference call between multiple locations, you
need to configure the following settings in the Video
Settings menu.
1Press MENU.
The setting screen appears.
2Press or to select “Video Settings”, and
press ENTER.
The video setting screen appears.
3Press or to select “Video CODEC”, and
press ENTER.
4Press or to select “H.261”, and press
ENTER.
5Press or to select “Multipoint”, and
press ENTER.

6Press or to select “Enable”, and press
ENTER.
The setting is saved.
The following description is given from an example of
calling a unit by entering the number of the unit.
1When the initial screen appears, press or
CANCEL.
The line connection screen appears.

Press CANCEL repeatedly to display the initial screen.
2Press or to select “Number”, and press
ENTER.
The menu for specifying numbers appears.
3Use the numeric keys to enter the number of
the destination unit.

• To enter “.” (Dot), press * .
• To correct a number that has been entered, use or to
position the cursor over the number to be corrected, and enter the
new number.
4Press or ENTER.
The multipoint connection screen appears.

5Press ENTER, and carry out step 2 to 4
repeatedly to add the location to talk with.

•Press or to view the selected unit.
• To change the unit selected, press CANCEL to delete, and select
another unit.
6Press .
The calling screen appears.
Once the destination unit performs the operation for
answering the call, the connection between both units is
established, and this unit is ready for the videoconference.
The screen appearance will be is different depending on the
number of the locations to talk with.
■Adding another location during a call
To call another unit during a call, follow the procedure
below.
1Press during the call.
The line connection screen appears.
2Press or to select a calling method from
“Address Book”, “Number” and “Call
History”, and press ENTER.
3Specify the unit to talk with, and press ENTER.
■To disconnect a call
If you are talking with multiple locations, follow the
procedure below to disconnect the call.
1Press during the call.
The disconnect screen appears.
2Press or to select the unit to be
disconnected from the line, and press ENTER.
The confirmation screen appears.
3Press ENTER.
The line is disconnected.
If you receive a call from another unit, you can talk with the
unit and the locations connected to the unit.
Screen appearance will be different depending on the
number of the locations to talk with.
Answering another call during a
call
You can configure the camera white balance according to
the room’s brightness or operating environment. Normally,
set to “Automatic” (default setting).
1Press MENU.
The setting screen appears.
2Press or to select “Video Settings”, and
press ENTER.
The video setting screen appears.
3Press or to select “Camera White
Balance”, and press ENTER.
4Press or to select a white balance
(“Automatic”, “Cool2”, “Cool1”, “Standard”,
“Warm1” or “Warm2"), and press ENTER.
The setting is saved.
