◆Installation
The examples of connection diagram for TIIS intrinsically safe equipment are shown below. Users should bear in mind that
actual connections will differ from those examples shown. FLXA202 and FLXA21 cannot be used with FU20F for TIIS
intrinsically safe equipment.
The safety-barrier connected with FU20F must be certified as a safety-barrier itself and used under the following conditions:
(1) Condition of the current and voltage limits.
Maximum output voltage ≤6.1 V; Maximum output current ≤230 mA; Maximum output power ≤1.2 W.
(2) Category ia; Group IIC.
(3) Relations between a maximum allowed inductance and a field wiring inductance, between a maximum allowed capacitance
and a field wiring capacitance.
Lo ≥Li (4 μH) + Lc; Co ≥Ci (30 μF) + Cc
(4) Ambient temperature -40°C ~ +80°C, Process temperature -40°C ~ +110°C
(5) Make sure that current and voltage that can undermine the circuit’s intrinsically safe features are not induced intrinsically
safe apparatus, associated apparatus, and the wires that connect these apparatus as a result of electromagnetic induction or
electrostatic induction.
Electrostatic charge may cause an explosion hazard. Avoid any actions that cause the generation of electrostatic charge,
such as rubbing with a dry cloth on coating face of the product.
