Declaration of Conformity
Some countries (e. g. Germany and
Austria) require a separate type-
examination certicate for the billing
of cooling energy (custody transfer).
The related certicate number is
inscribed at the front of the meter. In
case of combined heating and cooling
meters with double calibration, both
certicate numbers are inscribed.

According to these directives, devices
arenolongercarryinganinitialverica-
tion stamp, but rather the year of the
device’sdeclarationofconformity(rec-
ognizable on the front of the device, for
example:M20orDE-M20=2020).They
control the use of measuring device up
to the moment they are placed on the
marketresp.theirrstputtingintouse.
Aerthis,thenationalregulationsfor
devicessubjecttocompulsoryverica-
tion apply within the EU. The duration
ofinitialvericationvalidityinGermany
remains5yearsforthermalenergy
meters.Aerthisperiodhasexpired,
the measuring device may no longer be
used for billing in commercial use. The
regulations resp. validity period may
vary in other countries of the EU.

Electro-magnetic interference
zelsius®C5-IUFfullsthenationaland
internationalrequirementsforinterfer-
ence resistance. To avoid malfunctions
due to other interferences, do not in-
stalluorescentlamps,switchcabinets
or electric devices such as motors or
pumps in the immediate vicinity of the
meter. Cables leaving the meter should
notbelaidparalleltolivecables(230V)
(minimumdistance0.2m).
Care instructions
Clean plastic surfaces with a damp
cloth only. Do not use any scouring or
aggressive cleaning agents! The device
is maintenance-free during the service
life.Repairsmayonlybecarriedoutby
the manufacturer or authorized service
partners.

the device! The installation has to be
donebyqualiedprofessionalperson-
nel. The current laws and regulations
have to be observed, especially the PTB
technicalguidelinesK8undK9,EN1434
part1+6,(inGermanyalsoAGFW
directiveFW202,FW510andFW218).At
devices with M-Bus the general rules of
technology and the respective regula-
tions for electrical installations have to
be followed. Caution with discharge
of hot water during the installation
– scalding danger! Do not carry the
meter by the cables.

105ºCresp.130°C.Forheatingsystems
with a lack of temperature mixing
resp.withtemperaturestratication
a straight pipeline of min. 10 x DN has
to be provided upstream of the meter.
Theowsensoriswear-free,thereare
no moving parts. No straight lengths of
piperequired.Itisimportanttoensure
adequatesystempressuretoavoid
cavitation.
With heating water temperatures of
90 °C and more as well as combined
heat and cooling measuring or only
cooling measuring the calculator has to
be mounted on the wall for protection
of high temperatures resp. external
condensation.
