Before you start
How to make most of Quick Start Guide
The ZMorph Quick Start Guide outlines the steps for getting ZMorph VX up and running.
The guide is split into sections. Each section contains pictures along with step-by-step instruc-
tions. Make sure to follow the steps with the guide to avoid any problems during your rst
time with ZMorph VX.

Safety
■This machine is not a toy. Small children and pets
should not be allowed to interfere nor operate it.
■The machine is designed to operate indoors and should
not be exposed to rain or extreme humidity.
■Device should be used away from water.
■All ammable substances and materials should be kept
away from the machine, especially during work.
■Before using the machine, make sure it is not
damaged. In such case stop using it and contact the
manufacturer.
■Power supply should be grounded. If there is no such
option, do not use the machine.
■The person using the machine should always have
clean and dry hands.
■Depending upon your choice of materials the machine
might emit fumes. Make sure that you work in a well
ventilated environment. If fumes make you feel unwell,
switch the machine off, ventilate the room and take a
break outside of it.
■The machine must not be covered with other objects
and materials during operation.
■The machine should be supervised at all times.
■ZMorph extruders and toolheads should be used only
with materials for which they were designed. Other use
is prohibited and will void warranty.
■The machine must be placed on a at surface.
■When working, the machine may produce high
temperatures. The user should not touch any operating
parts or elements marked with “hot surface” sticker.
■After using the machine, the owner should store it in a
dry and clean area.
■3D printing laments should be stored in a clean and
dry place. Dirty laments might cause nozzle to clog.

You are ready to go. Proceed
further.
Open the front cover of the ma-
chine to the point where it touches
with the back cover. Magnetic
latches will keep the cover open.
Gently cut the tapes and
open ZMorph VX box.
Take out all containers with
accessories from the box.
Take out ZMorph VX from
the box. Remove side protec-
tive foams and foils.
Gently remove the worktable
protection foams.
Remove the protective tool
band.

Connect the power cable to
the socket.
Turn on the machine.
Slide the spool holder in place.
Look at the back of ZMorph
VX. Spool holder attachment
screws are placed at the top of
the frame and highlighted on
the picture.
Loosen frame screws with
2.5 mm Allen key.
The screws should be loos-
ened to the point where you
can slide the spool holder.
Tighten the screws. Take out the lament roll
from the plastic bag and
slide it on the bar. Put the bar
with lament on the holders.

Install ZMorph VX

Straighten the tip of lament
and push it gently into the
guide.
Push the lament down until you feel it has been
grabbed by the extruder. Wait until the material ows
out of the nozzle. Tap the feed button again if necessary.
Leave the “Load Filament” screen.
You can find out what kind of
filament you own by looking at the
sticker on the filament roll. ZMorph
VX package comes with PLA.
Choose the “Maintenance”
from the LCD touchscreen
menu.
Choose “Load Filament”. Choose PARK TOOL, wait for
the machine to position the
toolhead. When done, choose
“PLA” to preheat the material.
Take off the front cover.
Tap the screen to feed 80
mm of the lament. Choose
down arrow with LEFT
description to do that.

Loading the lament

Set the printing temperature
to the PLA material., Nozzle
200 0C, Bed 60 0C.
If your lament is not loaded,
feed it using arrows on the
screen. If your lament is
already loaded choose “Next”.
Wait for the machine to
nish printing pattern.
Choose “Calibrate”.
Take the calibration cable
and connect wider end to the
RIGHT frame socket.
Connect the narrow end
of the calibration cable to
X-carriage B socket.
Choose “Maintenance”.
Choose “Auto 3-point”. Wait
for the machine to heat up
and nish the probing.
To ensure best calibration
result print calibration
pattern. Choose “Start”.

Autocalibration

Detach the autocalibration
cable.
Look at printed lines and
select the best one on the
screen. Apply your choice.
ZMorph VX calibration is
complete.
Clean the bed using a spatula. Your machine is ready for
your rst print!

Autocalibration

Congratulations, you just
started your rst print.
Apply 3D printing adhesive to
the center of the worktable.
Two layers should be
enough.
Choose “New Job” from the
LCD touchscreen.
Select the Astronaut le to
print. It is located in
“INTERNAL -> EXAMPLES ->
SINGLE EXTRUDER” folder.
Wait until the printer heats up
automatically.
Choose “Prepare Bed”.
Attach the cooling fan to the
X-carriage. Remember, when
printing with PLA always use
cooling fan.
Click “Play” to start printing.

First print

Lift the toolhead from the
front to back from the
X-carriage.
Gently mount new toolhead
from the back to the front in
the X-carriage.
Tighten the screw to keep
toolhead in the X-carriage.
Disconnect LEFT and RIGHT
cables from the frame sockets.
Choose “Maintenance”. Choose “Change Tool”. Choose "PARK TOOL", wait
for the machine to position
the toolhead. When done,
choose toolhead.
Disconnect A and B plugs. Use 3 mm Allen key to
loose screw mounting the
toolhead.

Toolhead change

The next step depends on
which toolhead you are
going to use:
To mount Dual Extruder connect the
LEFT cable to the LEFT frame socket and
RIGHT cable to the RIGHT frame socket.
When done connect the A to A and B to B
toolhead plugs.

Toolhead change
Dual Extruder

Laser PRO

Import the model and arrange it on the table.
When it’s ready click “NEXT”.
When all settings are ready press “NEXT” to
generate a G-code le.
Select the printing settings based on your
lament, quality and durability that you wish to
achieve.
Save the generated le. Now you can copy it
to your SD card and run it from your ZMorph
machine.
