Installing the nano-SIM Card
The nano-SIM card can be installed or removed while the
phone is turned on.
WARNING!
To avoid damaging the phone, do not use any other kind of
SIM card, or any non-standard nano-SIM card cut from a SIM
card. Your service provider has a standard nano-SIM card.
1. Insert the tip of the tray eject tool into the hole next to the
nano-SIM card tray on the left side of the phone.

14
2. Pull out the nano-SIM card tray and place the nano-SIM
card on the tray, as shown. Carefully slide the tray back
into place.
Charging the Battery
The battery should have enough power for the phone to turn
on, find a signal, and make a few calls. You should fully
charge the battery as soon as possible.
If the battery is low, a message displays on the screen. As
the phone charges, the lock screen displays the exact battery
level on the status bar.
Note: The ZTE AXON PRO comes with a special
5.0V/1.5 A charger that supports fast
charging capabilities that other chargers
do not offer. Only use the charger that
came with this phone for best results.

15
WARNING!: Use only ZTE-approved chargers
and cables. Using unapproved accessories
could damage the phone or cause the battery to
explode.
CAUTION: Only ZTE or a ZTE authorized service
provider can change the built-in rechargeable battery in
the phone.
1. Connect the adapter to the charging jack. Ensure the
adapter is inserted with the correct orientation. Do not
force the connector into the charging jack.
NOTE: The Charger is a high capacity charger that
charges faster than standard chargers. Only use the
ZTE provided charger.
2. Connect the charger to a standard AC power outlet. If the
phone is on, a charging icon, such as or , displays
in the status bar.

16
3. Disconnect the charger when the battery is fully charged.
NOTE: If the battery is extremely low, the phone may
not power on even during charging. Try again
after charging the phone for at least 20
minutes. Contact Customer Service if you still
cannot power on the phone after prolonged
charging.
Extending the Battery Life
Active applications, screen brightness levels, Bluetooth and
Wi-Fi use, and Location functionality can drain the battery. To
conserve battery power:
Reduce the screen backlight time
Lower the screen brightness
Turn Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and auto-sync off when not in use
Disable the Location feature when you don’t need it. Most
applications that use the Location feature query the GPS
satellites periodically for current location. Each query
drains the battery.
Powering On and Off
Press and hold the Power button to turn on your phone.
To power off, press and hold the Power button and touch
Power off on the menu.
NOTE: If the phone freezes or takes too long to respond,
press and hold the Power button for about 10
seconds to restart the phone.

17
Setting Up the First Time
When powering on the phone after purchase or resetting it to
factory settings, you must set some settings before using it.

to turn the screen back on and unlock it when you need it, put
the phone in sleep mode.
To lock the screen and keys, press the Power button.
NOTE: To save battery power, the phone automatically
turns off the screen after inactivity. You can still
receive messages and calls when the phone
screen is off.
To unlock the screen and keys:
1. Press the Power button to turn the screen on.
