Installation
1. Handset
Connect phoneand handsetviathe phone cord.

2. Antenna
Install theantennatoantennaconnector.Holdtheplasticstick ofthe antennaand
rotatethemetal screwcap inclockwisedirection tofixit up.
Notes:
Do not rotate antenna directly.
3. External power adapter
Plugthe external power adapter totheexternal AC socket.
4. SIMcard
Always switchthe phone off beforeremoving or insertingSIM card.
Openthebottomcoverofthebattery.Removethe battery,slide theSIM cardinto
theSIM cardslot.Makesurethatthecontactareaofthecardis facingdown,and
the beveledcornermatcheswiththe SIM cardslot.Putinthebattery and install the
bottom cover.
Howto Power on/off
uTopoweron the phone,connect phoneand externalpoweroutletwiththe
power adapter and thenhold EXIT key for about threeseconds.
uTopoweroffthe phone,atstandbymode,holdthe EXIT keytill the phoneis
powered off.
Notes:
It is strongly recommendedto connect the phone to external power
outlet, and use internal battery to power yourphone onlywhen external
power fails oris notavailable.The phone will chargethe internal battery
automatically whenit is connected to external power outlet.
Howto Make a Call
Therearetwomethods for makingacall.
nThefirst method:
1. Pick up the handset or press the HANDS-FREE key.
2. Enter the phone number,press CALL/REDIAL keytomakethe call.

Enterthenumberorselectrecipient’snumberfrom Phonebook,orpress
CALL/REDIAL keytoselect anumberfromthe recentcall recordslist, then
press CALL/REDIAL keytomakethe call.
Notes:
Add theinternational prefix,country code and areacode (without the
leading 0)before the number when making an international call.
Voice Mail
Beforeusingvoicemail, pleasecontact serviceprovidertoconfirmthatthe
voicemail hasbeen activated.
Thesystemautomaticallysendsamessagetoyourphonetoinformyou thatthere
is a newvoicemail. Read themessageand then dialvoice mailbox numbertolisten
toyour voicemail.
Toread orsendyourvoicemail, pleasehold “1”keytodialvoicemail boxnumberin
standbymode.
Message
Select Short Message in Menu.
•Select Newmessage towritemessagetext, Press Option select Send and Save
the message.
•Select Inbox toviewmessages received.
•Select Outbox toviewthe Send and Save messages.
•Select Draftbox toviewthe failuremessages or draft messages.
•Select Voice mail tolisten toyourvoicemail messages,orsetthevoicemailbox
number.
•Select Messagesettings tomakesomenecessaryshort messagesettings.
Phone Code
Phonecode couldpreventyourphonefromunauthorized use.The default phone
code is 1234. Changeit toyour ownas soonas possible.
Ifyou changethedefault phonecodetoanewone,rememberitorplaceit at

secureplace.
PIN Code and PUK Code
•PIN code (SIMpassword): PIN codecouldpreventyourSIM cardfromillegaluse.
When PIN code is enabled,you shouldenterthe PIN code whenpoweringon the
phone again. Changethe default PINcodeto your ownas soon as possible.
•PUK code:TheSIMcardwill be lockedifyouenterawrongPIN code
consecutivelyfor three times.Tounlock,you needPUK code.
Notes:
PIN code and PUK code may be offeredtogether with the SIMcard.If
not, contact your service provider.
Text Input
OperationMethod
Input digits “123”, pressthe Number keys toinputthedigits
you want directly.
Input letters “ABC”, abc”, presscorrespondingletter keytill
the letterappears.
Input words “ABC”, “abc”,press the Numberkeysto
inputthecharacters ofthe word.Then press
MENU/SELECT keytoconfirm.
Input symbolPress *key,and then select corresponding symbol
byusing Scrolling keys.

products beingprocessed,becauseeven ifyourphone is inidlestate,it still
transmitsradiofrequency(RF) energy.Therefore,poweroff yourphoneif
required.

•Donottouchthe antenna whilecalling.Otherwiseit will affect the quality ofcalling
andwastebatteryenergy.Thedamaged antennawill causeslightburnwhile
touchingyour skin.
•Keeptheantenna freefrom obstructionsandpositionthe antenna straightup.This
will ensurebest call quality.
•Keepthe phoneoutofthe reachofsmall children.The phonemaycauseinjuryif
used as atoy.
•Donot put otherthings on theterminaltoavoidoverlayingradiator.
•Useoriginalaccessoriesoraccessoriesthatareauthorized bythemanufacturer.
Usinganyunauthorized accessoriesmayaffect yourphone’sperformance,and
violaterelatednationalregulationsabouttelecomterminals,oreven endanger
your body.
•As yourphonecanproduceelectromagneticfield,donotplaceitnearmagnetic
items suchas computer disks.
•Donotexposeyourphoneto directsunlightorstoreit inhotareas.High
temperaturecanshorten the lifeofelectronic devices.
•Prevent liquidfromleakingintoyour phone.
•Disconnectexternalpowersupplyand do notuseyourphoneduring
thunderstorm.
•Unplugtheexternalpoweradapterorremovebatterywhen yourphoneisnotin
use,esp.for alongperiod of time.
•It is highlyrecommended tochargethebatterybeforeinitialuse.Thebatterymight
havebeen discharged duringstorageand delivery.
•Donotunplugtheconnectorofthedatacablefromthephone,and notinstall or
removebattery, when the power is on.
•Donotattempttodisassemblethephonebyyourself.Non-experthandlingofthe
devices maydamagethem.
•The phone is non-waterproof, keep it dryandstoreinshadyandcool place.
•Ifyou wanttoclean yourphone,pleaseusecleanfabric thatis abit wetor
anti-static.Donotuseharshchemicalcleaningsolvents orstrongdetergentsto
clean yourphone,suchasalcohol, dilutionagentandbenzene.Poweroffyour
phone beforeyou cleanit.

Limited Warranty
•This warrantydoes not applytodefectsor errors inthe Product caused by:
i. ReasonableRouterAppearanceDisfiguration.
ii. EndUser’sfailuretofollowZTE’sinstallation,operationormaintenance
instructionsor procedures.
iii. End User’smishandling,misuse,negligence,orimproperinstallation,
disassemble,storage, servicingor operation oftheProduct.
iv. Modifications or repairs notmade byZTEor aZTE-certifiedindividual.
v. Powerfailures, surges, fire,flood,accident, actionsofthirdpartiesorother
events outside ZTE’s reasonablecontrol.
vi. UsageofproductsofthirdParties, orusageinconjunctionwiththirdparty
productsprovided thatsuchdefects is due tothe combinedusage.
vii. Anyother causebeyond therangeof normal usageforProducts.
End User shall havenoright toreject, return,or receivearefundfor anyproduct
fromZTEunder the above-mentionedsituations.
•This warrantyis enduser’ssoleremedyand ZTE’ssoleliabilityfordefectiveor
nonconformingitems, and is inlieu ofall otherwarranties, expressed,implied or
statutory,including but notlimited tothe implied warrantiesofmerchantability and
fitness foraparticularpurpose,unless otherwiserequired underthemandatory
provisions ofthelaw.
Limitation of Liability
ZTEshallnotbeliableforanylossofprofitsorindirect,special, incidentalor
consequentialdamagesresultingfromorarisingoutoforinconnection withusing
ofthis product,whetherornotZTEhadbeenadvised,kneworshouldhaveknown
ofthepossibilityofsuchdamages, including,butnotlimitedtolost profits,
interruptionofbusiness, cost ofcapital, cost ofsubstitutefacilitiesorproduct, orany
downtime cost.
Troubleshooting
If yourphoneappearsfollowingphenomenonintheprocessofapplication,read
followingrelativeinformationatfirst. Iftheproblemsstill cannotbesolved,please

contact withthe distributor or serviceprovider.
Problem Check Point
When switchingon thephone,it
prompts Enter “PIN”. InputyourPIN codewhichoffered with
SIM cardtogether.Ifyou have
changedPINcode,inputthenewPIN
code.
When switchingon thephone,it
prompts “Emergency”. Check whether validSIM cardis
inserted or not.
When switchingon thephone,it
prompts Enter “Phonelock”. Enter lockcodeyou set alreadyto
unlock the phone.
Noringtone promptfor a
incomingcall. Check volumesettingofringtone.
And check whether "mute"is setinProfil
es.
Nodisplayon screen when
disconnect external power
supply.
Check whether the batteryhas
electricity, or it is damaged; or power
on the phone again.
Press CALL/REDIALkey, but no
number is sent. Check whether you haveset call
barring.
Certaincall cannot bereceived.Check whether the number is
restricted.
Cannot send short messages. Check thenetwork condition,or
messagecenter setting.

Problem Check Point
Otherabnormalphenomenon.First refertothe usermanual, and then
check whether thepower is connected
correctlyor not. If thereis noproblem,
restart thephone.
