LOCATE THE ACTIVATION CARD
INSIDE YOUR PACKAGE FIRST
1. Go to StraightTalk.com or call 1-888-428-7223 and follow the steps to
complete your Service Activation. You will need to provide the following:
• Your device’s IMEI (Serial Number)
• A Straight Talk Data Service Plan PIN, or a credit or debit card to purchase
one during Activation.
2. Once the Activation is complete, turn your Hotspot OFF and back ON. Your
Hotspot will begin the Activation process.
• If the Activation is successful, you will receive a confi rmation message.
• If you do not receive a confi rmation message, wait a few minutes and turn
your Hotspot OFF and back ON to restart the Activation process.
3. Connect your computer or other device to your Hotspot using Wi-Fi®.
• Your Hotspot Network Name can be found on the Device Info menu on
your Hotspot. It begins with TF_ and is followed by six characters.
• Select your Hotspot Network Name once it appears on a list of available
devices on your computer or other device.
4. Once you connect to the internet using your Hotspot, it is recommended that
you change its Security Settings, as by default your Hotspot allows others to
connect to your network. To manage your device’s Security Settings, follow
the instructions on the back of this panel.

1. Visite StraightTalk.com o llame al 1-888-428-7223 y siga los pasos para

Your Hotspot has an LCD screen that will display several options, such
as the Device Info icon shown. Using the navigation keys, you may
access each of the following options:
 • DEVICE INFO: Press ENTER to access information about your Mobile
Hotspot network.
 • CONNECTED DEVICE: Press ENTER to see the number of devices
connected to your Hotspot.
 • SETTINGS: Press ENTER to set the parameters of your Hotspot.
 • WPS: Press ENTER to activate the WPS function (Wi-Fi Protected Set
Up). This will start the Wi-Fi Protected Setup authentication process.

Locate your Activation Card and follow the instructions on the card.
This Card has the Serial Number you need to Activate your Hotspot.
To activate, go to StraightTalk.com or call 1-888-428-7223 from
your phone.
Once Activation is completed, follow the instructions on the inside
of the red Activation card.

Keeping your Service Active is easy! Just add a Data Service Plan before
your Service End Date! To find your Service End Date, go to our website
at StraightTalk.com and log into My Account or call our Customer Care
Center at 1-888-428-7223.

Data Service Plans
Flexible Data Plan options let you add Data and Service Days as you
need them. Select the Service Plan that best fits your needs and add it
to your account. Adding a new data plan begins a new Service Period.
Unused Service Days do not carry over.
Straight Talk rates and the availability or selection of Service Plans may vary and
are subject to change without notice. Refer to the latest Terms and Conditions of

Plans. It does not work with the StraightTalk Service Plans for cell phones.

2.3 MANAGE YOUR
STRAIGHT TALK RESERVE™
Straight Talk Reserve allows you to purchase Straight Talk Data Service
Plans and reserve them until your Service End Date. A plan in reserve will
be automatically applied to your account on your Service End Date. There
is no limit to the number of Data Service Plans that can be purchased
and placed on reserve.
HOW IT WORKS
• Visit StraightTalk.com and log into My Account .
• Buy and add Data Service Plans to your account and check the
status of Data Service Plans you may already have in reserve. You can
add as many Plans as you like, whenever you like. The plans you place
in reserve will automatically be applied to your Service End Date.
• Manage your Reserve at StraightTalk.com or by calling
 1-888-428-7223.

HOW TO USE YOUR
STRAIGHT TALK
MOBILE HOTSPOT
3.1 FIND YOUR MOBILE HOTSPOT SERIAL NUMBER
The Mobile Hotspot Serial Number (ESN) is located on the front of the
red Activation Card enclosed in your package. If you do not have access
to the Activation Card, you can find the Serial Number on your device,
using any of the following options:
On the Device
1. Remove the back cover.
2. Remove the battery. Locate the label inside the battery compartment.
3. Look for the number series next to IMEI. This is your Mobile Hotspot
Serial Number.
Online After Activation
If you have completed the Activation process, you can also find your Serial
Number by going to StraightTalk.com and logging in to My Account .
On the Device screen
Find your Hotspot Serial Number on the device’s display:
1. Select Device Info, and then press ENTER.
2. Using the RIGHT navigation key, go to Serial Number.
The Number on your screen is your Hotspot Serial Number.

3.4 SECURITY SETTINGS
Set your Security options
Bydefault,yourMobileHotspotallowsotherstoconnecttoyournetwork.
To password protect your device:
1. Make sure that your computer or other device is connected to the
Hotspot’s Wi-Fi®.
2. Access the Hotspot device website from your computer or other device
by entering http://192.168.0.1 in the URL field. If you are on a mobile
device, enter http://mobile.hotspot in the URL field, and select the
option PC View. Your Hotspot must remain ON during this process.
3. Enter the following information:
 • Password:12$ and the last three digits of your Hotspot Serial
Number. Do not leave any spaces between characters.
4. GototheSettings tab.
5. Select Wi-Fi Settings.
6. Select one of the Security Mode options and enter a password.
7. Select Apply.
Forgot your security password?
If you forget the password to access your Mobile Hotspot, you will need
to perform a Factory Data Reset of your device. A Factory Data Reset
erases all settings and configurations and returns the Hotspot to its
factory default settings.
To limit access to your device, you will also need to re-configure your
Security Settings.
3.2 FIND YOUR MOBILE HOTSPOT SIM NUMBER
1. Remove the back cover by pressing it down and in the direction of
the arrow.
2. Remove the battery. Locate the SIM slot inside the battery compartment.
3. Remove the SIM card by sliding it out. On the SIM card you will see a set
of numbers beginning with 89. This is your SIM Number.
4. To insert the SIM card, position it with the gold contacts facing down
and the cut-away corner matching the shape of the slot. Slide it in.
5. Replace the battery and the back cover.
You can also find your SIM Number on your device’s display:
1. Select Device Info, and then press ENTER.
2. Using the RIGHT navigation key, go to SIM Number. The Number on
your screen is your SIM Number.
3.3 FIND YOUR MOBILE HOTSPOT
PHONE NUMBER
Once your device has been activated, you can display your phone
number on your Hotspot screen by following these steps:
1. Using the navigation keys, go to Device Info .
2. Press the ENTER key.
3. Using the RIGHT navigation key, go to My Phone Number . On the
screen, you will see your Mobile Hotspot device phone number. Please
write down this phone number as you will need it for future transactions.
