Allthe 2N®StarPoint500 telephones(exceptforEntry ones)are equippedwitha
two-rowdisplay.Thedisplaycontrastisadjustableineightsteps;timeisdisplayedin
12hor24hformats.Refer toSettingsfordisplay parameterdetails.
Display default:
•Stationnumber –thisitem dependsonyourPBX setting.Thestationnumber,
name,orbothcanbedisplayed.
•Currentprofile–thisitem dependsonyourPBXsetting.
Towork morecomfortablywithyour 2N®StarPoint telephone,adjustthedisplaytilt

ProgrammableButtons
The 2N®StarPoint500 telephonesare equippedwithprogrammablebuttons.Use
the 2N®–NetStarAssistant toprogramthebuttons.Thesystemadministrator
definesthebasicsettings,theusermay adjustthebuttonsettingsasrequired
NumericalKeypad Buttons
The 2N®StarPoint numericalkeypadisusedfordiallingnumbers,typingtext
messagesandenteringcontactsintothetelephonedirectory.Therefore,multiple
charactersareassignedtoeachkey.Pressakey repeatedlytoproceedtothenext
character.Thetablebelowgivesaclearoverview.
Dialling numbers – youcannotswitchtheterminalintotheeditingmodewhile
diallingsinceitisuseless.Ifyouneedspecialcharacters,press * and#.
Editing text messages – youneedthemostcomprehensivesetofcharacterstoedit
textmessages.The Abc editingmodeisenabledby defaultandyoucanchangeitany
timeby pressing#.

Entering contacts –theediting(Abc)andnumerical(123)modesare enabled
automaticallydependingonwhetheryouareenteringacontactnameoracontact
number.Press#toswitchthemodeanytime.

The 2N®OptiSet telephonesetsare digitalkeysystem phonesdesignedforthe 2N®
–NetStar system.Theyrepresentanearliertypeoftelephonesintendedforcommon
