Installation Instructions:
Preparation
Before installing the new mixer it is essential that you thoroughly flush through the supply pipes in order to
remove any remaining solder, swarf or impurities from your system. Failure to carry out this simple flushing
procedure will cause problems or damage to the workings of the mixertap and will block the inlet particle filters and
internal flow limiter invalidating any warranty.
Please ensure that the incoming hot and cold water pressures are sufficient and that and hot water system will be
activated correctly at lower flow rates.
All parts should be removed from their packaging and inspected for completeness and transport damage prior to
installation.
We strongly recommend installing isolation valves to both the hot and cold feed pipes in an accessible position. This
will help to ease any future maintenance if required.
Shut off your water heating system and ensure that your mains stopcock is closed. Open the lowest hot and cold
taps in the house and allow the water to run until the cold-water storage tank and pipes are fully empty. Please note,
the hot water storage cylinder (if applicable) will remain full.
This mixertap requires a 35mm∅ tap hole, if replacing an existing tap, remove the tap & clean the end of the feed
pipes using wire wool the tap hole area should be free from dirt and sealant. Loosely position the tap and tail pipes to
check if any alteration to the existing pipework is required, if this is the case do this now.
About this water saving
product
This product is installed with
neoperl™ water saving
technology; this will reduce
your water consumption to a
maximum of 4 litres a minute
+/-10% (hot, cold or mixed)
regardless of the maximum
incoming water pressure, this is
designed to reduce the amount
of water wasted during
everyday use and meets
current UK building guidelines.
The Graph shows typical water
consumption in litres per
minute at various input
pressure ranges.
Should the flow regulator or particle mesh filters become blocked with debris or require maintenance over time they
should be cleaned or replaced.
The brass bush retaining the flow regulator is situated under the spout inside the body, it can be removed using a
8mm a/f allen key inserted into the bush and pulled vertically.
The 15mm meshed particle filters are found in the ½” end of the flexible inlet hoses, once the hoses are
disconnected they can be removed using a precision screwdriver.
Installation
1. Screw studded rod (D) into the base of the tap (A).
2. Place the upper seal (C) into the base plinth (B) then place the base plinth (B) onto the bottom of the tap
(A).
3. Screw the hot & cold water tail pipes (I & J) into the base of the tap (A) as shown.
4. Place the mixertap (A), base plinth (B) and upper seal (C), onto the sink/worktop, passing the tail pipes (I
& J) and studded rod (D) through the tap hole.
5. Pass the triangular stabiliser (E), lower gasket (F) and then metal horseshoe (G) over the studded rod (D)
and around the flexible tail pipes (I & J). Note stabiliser (E) is an optional part if fitting the tap to a
stainless steel sink.
6. Fasten the fixing nut (H) securely onto the fixing stud (D) to fix the tap (A) into its correct location.
7. Connect the hot and cold tail pipes (I & J) to the water mains using ½” BSPx15mm compression fittings.
After installation
Once you have visually checked the new fittings and connections, ensure that all taps are closed except the new
mixer tap which should be left open. Turn on the water supply at the mains stop cock. As the system starts to refill,
check carefully for leaks. Once you are fully satisfied that there are no leaks, turn on the water heating.
Clean the tap to remove any marks created during installation as instructed then place the cloth bag that has been
provided to protect the tap until it is ready for use.
