3.8 Taring
There are two taring options: a tomatic taring when yo t rn on the scale and taring d ring the
weighing process.
With a tomatic taring, p t the container to be tared on the scale before t rning on the scale
and then t rn on the scale. The display will show “0”. As soon as yo p t the object to be
weighed into the container, only the net weight of the object to be weighed will be displayed.
This process can be repeated as often as desired ntil the maxim m weight is reached.
If the scale is already t rned on, taring will take place d ring the weighing process.
P t yo r empty container on the scale and press the [TARE] b tton. The scale display will
show “0”. Now p t the object to be weighed into the container. The scale now shows only the
net weight. This process can be repeated as often as desired ntil the maxim m weight is
reached. Press the [SET] and [TARE] b ttons at the same time to display the total weight. If
yo remove the container and the objects to be weighed, the display will show the weight as a
negative val e. Press the [TARE] b tton again to cancel the tare f nction.
If the display is not stable, the stability indicator will not light up.
3.9 Setting minimum and maximum values for checkweighing
It is possible to set the minim m and maxim m val es on the scale with an a tomatic playing
of an a dible signal. It is very helpf l if, for example, always the same filling q antities are
weighed.
Press and hold down the [TARE] b tton for 3 seconds to set the minim m and maxim m
val es for checkweighing. After a short beep, the “LOW” symbol will flash and switch back to
the “0” display. Now place the weight corresponding to the minim m weight on the weighing
platform and press the [SET] b tton to confirm. A beep will so nd to confirm the stored
minim m val e.
The “HIGH” symbol flashes now. Now add the corresponding weight to the minim m weight
ntil the desired maxim m val e is reached and press the [SET] b tton to confirm. A beep will
so nd to confirm the stored maxim m val e.
Remove the weight from the weighing platform.
If yo now place an arbitrary weight on the weighing s rface, a beep will so nd as long as the
applied weight is below or above the set val es.
