System Set-up
1 Attach a video ca le (either VGA or HDMI) to your monitor.
When using the VGA connection, your monitor should support XGA (1024x768)
resolution or greater. For audio output, you will also need to connect a stereo
RCA ca le from the DSA-2130 to your monitor.
When using an HDMI connection, audio is sent along with video over the HDMI
ca le, so no additional ca les are required.
Reminder: Please make sure that your monitor has the proper video input selected.

2 Attach the AC power adapter to power on the unit. The  green power
indicator will immediately light up, followed y the  am er status indicator in
approximately 15 seconds.
3 Shortly afterwards, the following progress ar will e displayed on your
monitor:
4 Player oot process takes approximately 90 seconds to complete. After oot
up, the player will indicate that it is ready for content sync via the USB port.
Trou leshooting Tips
1 The front panel indicators do not light up when I plug in power.
•Check if there is power coming through. A green indicator on the AC power
adapter lock lets you confirm if AC power is availa le.
2 The front panel indicators light up, ut no video is displayed on screen.
•Ensure that your video ca le (VGA or HDMI) is securely connected. When
using an HDMI connection, choose high quality, certified HDMI ca les to
avoid signal drop outs.
•Check if your monitor is turned-on and switched to the corresponding video
input source.
3 No sound is heard.
•If using VGA connection, you also need to connect RCA audio ca les.
•Check volume (mute) settings on monitor.

Playing media files using a USB drive
You can use either USB or network methods to upload contents for play ack on the
DSA-2130. For this demonstration, you will need a USB drive and the included
Manager Express CD:
1 Insert a USB drive into your PC’s USB port
2 Format the USB drive in your PC, choosing the FAT32 option
3 Load the Manager Express CD into your PC’s CD or DVD drive
4 Locate the SMIL folder under the DSA-2130 folder and copy the entire SMIL
folder to the USB drive
5 With your system booted up from the previous System Set-up process, insert the
USB drive when prompted y the on screen instructions
6 Device sync egins, and contents are transferred from USB drive to the player
7 You can remove the USB drive once the sample contents egin to play
NOTE: To customize play ack content, edit the playlist file index.smil located in the
sample SMIL folder and place a copy of the requisite media files inside the folder.

Playing media files using a network connection
For detailed instructions on how to set up your player and management software
system on a network, please refer to the D A-2130 Media Player User’s Manual in
the Manager Express CD.
Scala Network Ready
The DSA-2130 can e connected to a Scala Content Manager network via an optional
Scala software license. Please see User’s Manual for details.
