Sound power level (Uncertainty K=3dB(A))........................
Wear ear protectors.

WARNING Read all safety warnings, instructions,
illustrations and specifications provided with this
power tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below
may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
PLANER SAFETY WARNINGS
Wait for the cutter to stop before setting the tool down.
An exposed rotating cutter may engage the surface leading
to possible loss of control and serious injury.
Hold the power tool by insulated gripping surfaces
only, because the cutter may contact its own cord.
Cutting a „live“ wire may make exposed metal parts of the
power tool „live“ and could give the operator an electric
shock.
Use clamps or another practical way to secure and
support the workpiece to a stable platform. Holding the
workpiece by your hand or against the body leaves it
unstable and may lead to loss of control
ADDITIONAL SAFETY AND WORKING INSTRUCTIONS
Always wear goggles when using the machine. It is
recommended to wear gloves, sturdy non slipping shoes
and apron.
Wear ear protectors. Exposure to noise can cause hearing
loss.
Only plane with sharp blades and avoid metal (nails,
screws).
Never reach into the danger area of the machine when it is
running.
The dust produced when using this tool may be harmful to
health. Do not inhale the dust. Wear a suitable dust
protection mask.
Do not use compressed air to blow dust or debris. This
practice is dangerous and can cause dirt and grit to be
blasted oand injure someone’s eyes.
Do not drill the housing, as the protective insulation would
be rendered ineective. Use adhesive labels.
Do not machine any materials that present a danger to
health (e.g. asbestos).
Switch the device oimmediately if the insertion tool stalls!
Do not switch the device on again while the insertion tool is
stalled, as doing so could trigger a sudden recoil with a
high reactive force. Determine why the insertion tool stalled
and rectify this, paying heed to the safety instructions.
The possible causes may be:
• it is tilted in the workpiece to be machined
• it has pierced through the material to be machined
• the power tool is overloaded
Do not reach into the machine while it is running.
The insertion tool may become hot during use.
WARNING! Danger of burns
• when changing tools
WARNING
The vibration and noise emission level given in this information sheet has been measured in accordance with a standardized
test given in EN 62841 and may be used to compare one tool with another. It may be used for a preliminary assessment of
exposure.
The declared vibration and noise emission level represents the main applications of the tool. However if the tool is used for
dierent applications, with dierent accessories or poorly maintained, the vibration and noise emission may dier. This may
significantly increase the exposure level over the total working period.
An estimation of the level of exposure to vibration and noise should also take into account the times when the tool is
switched oor when it is running but not actually doing the job. This may significantly reduce the exposure level over the
total working period.
Identify additional safety measures to protect the operator from the eects of vibration and/or noise such as: maintain the
tool and the accessories, keep the hands warm, organization of work patterns.

When working in walls ceiling, or floor, take care to avoid
electric cables and gas or waterpipes.
Clamp your workpiece with a clamping device. Unclamped
workpieces can cause severe injury and damage.
Always disconnect the plug from the socket before carrying
out any work on the machine.
SPECIFIED CONDITIONS OF USE
The planer can plane surfaces and rabetts, and bevel and
chamfer edges.
Do not use this product in any other way as stated for
normal use.

MAINS CONNECTION
Appliances used at many dierent locations including wet
room and open air must be connected via a residual
current device (FI, RCD, PRCD) of 30mA or less.
Connect only to single-phase AC system voltage as
indicated on the rating plate. It is also possible to connect
to sockets without an earthing contact as the design
conforms to safety class II.
Keep mains lead clear from working range of the machine.
Always lead the cable away behind you.
Before use check machine, cable, and plug for any
damages or material fatigue. Repairs should only be
carried out by authorised Service Agents.
Make sure the machine is switched obefore plugging in.
ADVICE FOR OPERATION
Never reach into the danger area of the plane when it is
running.
Place the front page of the machine on to the worpiece and
switch on, before the planer blade touches the workpiece
and then guide evenly over the workpiece.
The selv opening swivel guard should be lifted only by the
workpiece or with the lever.
The v-shape notch in the front of the supporting plate
ensures safe chamfering of edges.
When using the grooved planer blades, always use two
blades with a dierent number of grooves.
MAINTENANCE
The ventilation slots of the machine must be kept clear at
all times.
Always disconnect the plug from the socket before carrying
out any work on the machine.
Clean out accumulated dust using a brush or vacuum
cleaner.
If the shavings discharge is stained with resin, remove it
with a cloth soaked in turpentine substitute.
If the replacement of the supply cord is necessary, this has
to be done by the manufacturer or his agent in order to
avoid a safety hazard.
Use only AEG accessories and spare parts. Should
