PRECAUTIONS
To maintain good performance
Do not use the unit in places which are extremely hot, cold, dusty or humid.
In particular, do not keep the unit:
• in a high humidity area such as a bathroom
• near a heater
• in an area exposed to direct sunlight (inside a parked car, where there
could be a considerable rise in temperature)
Note on listening with the headphones
• Listen at moderate volumes to avoid hearing damage.
• Do not wear the headphones while driving or cycling. It may create a
traffic hazard.
• You should use extreme caution or temporarily discontinue use in poten-
tially hazardous situations, such as walking, jogging, etc.
• Wear them properly: L is left, R is right.
Cassette tapes A
• Check and tighten slack tape before use with a pencil or similar tool as
illustrated. Slack tape may break or get jammed in the mechanism.
• C-100 or longer tapes are extremely thin and easily deformed or dam-
aged. They are not recommended for use in this unit.
To use with the belt clip B

Replace the batteries when the tape speed slows down, volume decreases
or sound distorts.

Note on dry cell batteries
• Make sure that the 0and 9marks are correctly aligned.
• Do not mix different types of batteries, or an old battery with a new one.
• Never recharge the batteries, apply heat to them or take them apart.
• When not using the batteries, remove them to prevent needless wear.

donde puede aumentar mucho la temperatura)
Notas para escuchar con los cascos auriculares
• Escuche a un volumen no muy alto para no dañar sus oídos.
• No escuche con los auriculares mientras conduce o anda en bicicleta.
Puede convertirse en un peligro para el tráfico.
• Debe tener mucho cuidado o dejar de utilizar temporalmente en situaciones
potencialmente peligrosas, por ejemplo mientras camina, corre, etc.
• Utilícelos correctamente: L es izquierdo y R es derecho.
Cintas de casete A
• Verifique y tense las cintas flojas antes de utilizarlas, con un lápiz o
herramienta similar, tal como aparece en la figura. Una cinta floja puede
romperse o atascarse en el mecanismo.
• Las cintas C-100 o de mayor longitud son muy finas y pueden deformarse
o dañarse fácilmente. No se recomienda su uso en este aparato.

PARA COLOCAR PILAS C
Cambie las pilas cuando la cinta se mueva lentamente, el volumen se vuelva
bajo o se distorsiona el sonido.
