You must be excited to use your AKASO V50 X. However, please spend time
reading this manual before using it. You need to get to know all the features now so
as to get the most out of it.
CAUTION!
1. This is a high-precision product. Do not drop.
2. Do not expose the item to strong magnetic fields, such as electric motors, magnets
and machinery rife with strong radio waves.
3. Never leave the item in high-temperature areas. Electronics and optics can be
damaged under prolonged exposure to heat.
4. Although this model is waterproof without needing an additional housing. it is
important to check that all seals are intact and all doors are properly closed
before submerging the camera in water.
5. Always store extra batteries in a compartment away from any sharp metals and
moisture.
6. Avoid extended periods of battery charging. Keep it away from children and pets
while charging to avoid accidents.
7. If your camera does not work normally or encounters any photo or video quality

Welcome to your AKASO V50 X. To capture videos and photos, you need a memory
card (sold separately) to start recording.
Memory Cards
Please use brand name memory cards that meet these requirements:
• U3 rating
• Capacity up to 64GB
Note:
1. Please format the memory card first in this camera before using. To keep your
memory card in good condition, reformat it on a regular basis. Formatting erases
all your content, so please make sure to offload your photos and videos before
formatting.
2. Files are saved each time the file size reaches 4G and starts recording again on a
new file till the memory card is full. The free space of 4G is actually 3.6G+.
Installing&Formatting Memory Card
The memory card is a precision electronic device. To get the most out of it, please
mind the following tips.
• Please format the memory card before using it for the first time or if there is any
data or other files that are not recognized by the camera in the memory card.
• Please turn off the camera before inserting or removing the memory card.
Note: Reformatting the memory card will degrade its performance. If the memory
card performance degrades, please purchase a new memory card.
• Please turn off the camera before inserting or removing the memory card.
• Please do not bend the memory card and avoid falling or being squeezed.
• Please do not place this memory card in a strong electric or magnetic environment,
such as near a speaker or a television receiver.
• Please do not use or leave the memory card in an overheating or under-cooled environment.
• Keep the memory card clean and avoid touching any liquid. If the memory card is
touching the liquid, wipe it dry with a soft cloth.
• Please place the memory card in the car holder while not using.

• Please do not insert the memory card into other digital cameras. If you want to
insert different memory cards into this action camera, please format them first.
• Please do not insert the memory card formatted in a digital camera or a card
reader into the action camera.
• Data stored in the memory card may be damaged if the memory card is not
used properly.
• Data stored in the memory card may be damaged if the camera is turned off or
the memory card is removed amid data storage or deletion.
Note: It’s normal that the memory card will heat up after being used for a long
time. Please insert it back into the camera when it cools off.
Memory Card Installation
Locate the memory card slot in the dash cam, then insert the memory card after
confirming the correct direction, and then press down on it till it's in place. Please
do not insert the memory card rudely.
To remove the memory card, please press down on it till you hear a sound indicating
it’s inserted, the memory will then pop out and make another sound. Please do not
remove the memory card when the camera turns on in case files in the card are
damaged.
Format
1.Please insert the memory card when the camera turns off. Turn on the camera
when the card is inserted.
2.Click the Setting icon to enter camera settings, locate the option Format Memory
Card, then click Confirm to complete the process.

Note:
• Please refer to requirements in this manual to purchase memory cards of
well-known brands.
• Please format the memory card in the camera before using.
• If the memory card you use is incompatible with your camera, the camera will
pop out messages saying “Please format card” or “Please insert card” when
turning on.
• Please ensure the memory card is dry and clean before using. View information
of the memory card provided by the manufacturer regarding its working
temperature range and other important details.
• To ensure a good performance of the memory card, please format it regularly.
Be sure to offload your contents in case they’re deleted in the process.

Charging and Installing Battery
Charging
To charge the battery separately, insert it into the battery charger, then plug in the
battery charger with the USB cable. When the battery is fully charged, insert it into
the battery slot, then turn on the camera.
You can also connect the USB cable to the camera, plug it into a charger or a USB
port on your computer to charge the camera after inserting the battery.
Note: Charging with a computer USB port may be slower than with a power adapter
due to lower output of computer USB ports.
The battery will be fully charged in three hours. Please do not keep charging it.
The battery lasts about 120 minutes when fully charged.

Installation
Warm tip: Please mind the positive and negative poles before installing the battery.
aSlide from left to right to
open the battery cover.
bInsert the battery, press it
down till it’s installed in the
battery slot in place.

to close it.
The blue light stays on when powering on, flashes when taking
photos or videos, and goes out when powering off.

1. Powering on/off
Long press the Power button to turn on the camera, the status indicator light
will stay on, and the camera screen will display the preview interface. Long press
the Power button to turn off the camera, the status indicator light will go out. You
can set the system date and time when you turn on the camera for the first time.
2. Turning on Wifi
There are two ways to turn on the Wifi. Short-press the Up button or short-press
the Power button to enter the camera mode menu to click the Wifi icon to turn on
the Wifi. The Wifi indicator light near the Shutter button flashes red when the Wifi
turns on, stays on when connected and goes out when off.
3. Choosing Mode
You can press buttons or touch the screen to choose the shooting mode you want.
To press buttons: Press the Power button to enter the camera mode menu to
choose the mode you want or exit the current mode. Press the Up or Down button
to choose the specific shooting mode. And press the Shutter button to confirm the
mode you choose.
To tap the screen: When the camera turns on, tap the screen to enter the
camera mode menu. Tap Photo or Video to choose the shooting mode you want.
Click “X” to exit the camera mode menu. Swipe the screen left and right to switch the
shooting modes.
The red light stays on while charging and goes out when fully charged.Charging indicator light

There are 10 modes for the V50 X: Photo, Burst photo, Time Lapse Photo, Long
Exposure, Self-Timer, Video, Loop Record, Time Lapse Video, Slow Motion, Fast
Motion.
Photo Mode
In the photo mode, press the Shutter button to take a photo. The status indicator
light will also be flashing.
Single Photo Mode
The camera takes photos at specific photo resolutions in this mode.
Burst Photo Mode
The camera takes multiple photos at one time at specific shots. This mode is suitable
for capturing scenes.

Time Lapse Photo Mode
In this mode, press the Shutter button, the camera will take a series of photos at
specific time intervals. This mode is suitable for taking photos in changeable scenes.
Long Exposure Mode
The cameras takes photos at specific time intervals in this mode. The larger the
number, the longer the exposure time.

Self-Time Mode
In this mode, the camera takes photos at specific intervals, giving a delay between
pressing the shutter release and the shutter's firing. It is most commonly used to
let photographers to take a photo of themselves.
Video Mode
In the Video mode, press the Shutter button to start or stop recording videos. The
indicator light flashes while recording.
Normal Video Mode
The camera record a or multiple videos at specific resolutions in this mode. You
can press and hold the Up or Down button or press the Zoom icon to adjust the
zoom level. The camera supports up to 4X.

Loop Record Mode
In this mode, the camera records videos of specific lengths. When the memory card
is full, old files will be overwritten by new ones. This mode is suitable for taking videos
in a long journey.
Time Lapse Video Mode
In the Time Lapse Video Mode, press the Shutter button, the camera records 30fps
videos from frames captured at specific intervals, yielding a good result in the
space-time transformation. A video of several hours will be played back in a couple
of minutes or even seconds.
Note: Time Lapse Videos are captured without audio.

Fast Motion Mode
The camera records videos at specific resolutions and zoom levels at a faster speed.
For example, the camera will create a 30-second 2.7K slow motion video if you
choose option 2.7K 2X to record a video for 1 minute. This mode is more than ideal
when you want to play back videos at a faster speed.

Slow Motion Mode
The camera records videos at specific resolutions and zoom level. For example, the
camera will create a 2-minute 2.7K slow motion video if you choose option 2.7K 2X
to record a video for 1 minute. This mode is suitable for capturing scenes where
fast movements are resolved.
